Taffy first existed on Pinnacle and was rolled as a earth/storm controller on the eve of the Welsh Rubgy team winning the 5 nations grand slam in Feburary 2005. when i moved to Virtue, i rerolled him as Ice/Storm and have never looked back, he is my Main on Virtue.

Personallity
Background
Childhood
Daffydd James was born in the family home in Merthyr Tydfil in Wales on the 29th of December 1973. His father worked the local slate mine and his mother looked after the home. For the most part Daffydd’s childhood was uneventful, his school grades were good and he was your average welsh boy. The only noticable feature he had was the unusal colour of his hair being a blue / purple. Children being children this was of course something which he had been teased about, but then it was only similar in colour to his grandfathers so for the most part Daffydd ignored it.
As his father worked long hours at the slate mine and his mother was always glad to have him out of the house and “not cluttering the place”, Daffydd often visited his grandfather who lived close by in the Rhymney Valley near Abertysswg. Daffydd still remembers the fanciful stories his grandfather would tell about dragons and magic, looking back he has often wondered whether there was a small grain of truth to them.
It wasn’t until he reached his late teens that Daffydd’s powers began to manifest, and even then it wasn’t until his later twenties that he actually began to understand what was happening to him.
For Queen and county
At the tender age of 17 Daffydd joined up for Queen and country as a welsh border guard in the Prince of Wales Regiment and then because of his mechanical aptitude went on to the royal engineers, but after 4 years service he finally realised the main reason he had joined was so he didn’t become a slate miner like his father and he decided not to re-enlisted and returned to Merthyr.
Roughnecks
Faced with the reality of no money he used his engineering experience and managed to get a contract as an engineer to the Norwegian company Norsco, who run several oil rigs in the Northsea. Whilst working the rigs Daffydd was finally able to realise a lifelong passion, he took up a part time course in esoteric studies and began to realise his magic ties to the storms and winters of his homeland.
It was this oil rig engineering experience that was to finally see Daffydd move to the USA, once he had completed his doctorate. However the oil plant he was working at was soon attacked by a group of small robotic villains, Daffydd finally forced to use his magical powers to aid his fellow workers realised his potential for aiding others was far greater than the worlds need for another engineer and so he returned to England and enrolled with the Dawn Patrol and Capt. Cymru was born.
