Рождение изверга (The Monster's Offspring)

Emilie De Sarteur Lolaire was a name that conjured up many feelings for citizens of Russia. Ms. Emilie was born in raised in Lyons, France. Her father was an incredibly wealthy billionaire entrepreneur who died when she was only six years old. While this would have upset his young daughter, her sadness was washed away when she inherited all of his money. She had spent her teenage years in a boastful, runaway freight train of glamor, galas, and boys. By the age of 24, Ms. De Sarteur Lolaire had developed quite a name for herself. The name became synonymous with wealth and power. So it was not surprise that she had piqued the interest of Russian businessman and gambler, Sergei Ditrorovich.

Emilie and Sergei fell madly in love with one another. Sergei was powerless to her porcelain features and her long, flowing blond hair that fell to her shoulders like a rolling field of wheat. Emilie was swept away by Sergei's rugged good looks and muscles that looked as if they had weathered a thousand storms. The two had eventually decided to get married and have a child. However, down the road, the process of marriage, birth, and overall commitment had frightened Emilie into insanity.

Emilie became paranoid by the fact that her husband was always watching her. Shortly she began to worry that everything she did would effect her baby in a negative way. She began attempting to 'uncover Sergei's mask' in ridiculous ways. Until finally, he could take it no more. She was admitted to a mental hospital. And he left without even uttering a word.

Emilie was admitted to be cared by American doctors. So when her baby was born, she wanted the baby to be named 'Lolaire' however, the doctors insisted they call her Lauren

Жизнь преобразовательная: (The Transforming Life Origins)

"You're not even old enough to know how bad life gets..."

"Obviously, Doctor, you've never been a thirteen year old girl."

-Cecilia and Dr. E.M. Horniker from "The Virgin Suicides"

The orderlies at Emilie's mental institute immediately put Lauren up for adoption. Less than a day passed, when the orderlies already got a request. A young couple from Paragon City, Rhode Island: Lisa and Johnathan Raskov. Johnathan took a pointed interest in the Russian infant as he was of Russian decent. In a matter of days, Lisa and Johnathan were heading home with little Lauren to Paragon City. The two always spent their time with Lauren. Buying her toys and clothing, making sure that she grew up perfectly. They sent her to elite preschools (which apparently exist) and only wanted what was best for their little daughter. From infancy to when she was six, Lauren was a happy, frolicking little girl, until she was told she was adopted.

This set young Lauren into a tirade of mixed emotions. She felt as if the love of her parents was synthetic and phony. There was also a sense of anger rising up in her. Why did her 'parents' have to take her away from her parents. From that day forward, Lauren spent most of her childhood quiet and introverted. Her parents always wanted to wonder why, but little Lauren would rarely even speak. From the years of six to eight, she had never engaged with people socially, never spoke, never talked out of turn, and never said anything of herself. And then when she turned nine, she morphed into an incredibly different person.

Lauren began to develop a streak of rebellion. While most thought this only to be a phase, it quickly turned into an intense problem. She would cut class, openly mock her teachers and peers, she would never turn in her classwork. Her teachers thought her to be a nuisance and her classmates thought her to be a bully. This only fueled the fire of rebellion in Lauren's mind, and she continued to be rebellious and outlandish.

And then came the field trip.

It was 3rd grade, and she was at her peak in rebellion. The kids were scheduled to go to the Atlas Park Museum, they were attending a show about dinosaurs, but that wasn't what interested Lauren. The famed archaeologist Arthur C. Graiem was holding an exhibit about the artifacts that he had discovered in an Icelandic ruin. While her classmates went off to the planetarium, Lauren went off to the exhibit (which was currently closed.) Her eye immediately became transfixed upon a stone called Zwarte Limminwat The stone was glowing a dull, dull maroon. This utterly transfixed Lauren, and she had began to move closer, the glow began to intensify. And when she was as close as she could get, the stone imploded upon itself and washed the room in a maroon cataclysm of runic hellfire.

The stone had imbued Lauren with it's own powers. The powers to control darkness.

Черепа: (The Skulls)

A rare picture of Lo when she was in The Skulls.
At fourteen you don't need sickness or death for tragedy. - Jessamyn West

Lo couldn't take it anymore. She was at one of the most difficult points in her life. She was entering middle school, she was an outcast, she was going through puberty, and her two parents constantly expressed their disappointment in her. She was tired of the stupid school cliques, and the tedious homework assignments. She wanted a place where she was accepted and where she didn't have to worry about fitting in, or turning things in, so she turned to The Skulls.

She was 14 years old, and she needed to join something more than a high school clique. She had seen stories about the gang, about robberies, grand theft autos, and a general life of debauchery and fun. Hell, the leaders shared her powers and their base of operations was right where she was living, in King's Row. She went everywhere searching for ways to get in, when she finally met Alfonso Vasquez. Alfonso or "Al" as she called him, was 3 years Lo's senior. She was entranced by his rugged good looks, and his boyish charm. Lo had to perform several tasks for Al in order to gain entrance into the Skulls. These tasks included petty crimes like pick pocketing, mugging, and breaking and entering. She was quickly admitted into the Skulls because of her cut throat personality and her ability to control darkness.

From when she was 14 to when she was 17, her years in The Skulls were fantastic. Her years were spent in an endless riot of clubs, raves, and well riots. She had also become a heavy user of the Skulls primary drug: Dyne. She had used it constantly, and she reflects on her use of the drug as a horrible experience as it made her fatigued, weak, and irritable. However, back then, she would've done anything to fit in. She also spent most of those years mugging people, robbing banks, pickpocketing. Lo loved these years because they gave her a sense of danger and edge that she had never felt before. Over these years she had also begun to develop a relationship with Al. The two did most of their missions together and when they had time off, it was usually spent at dinner, at a club, or having "relations" with one another. Lo had felt a deep emotional connection to Alfonse, claiming that she didn't know what she would do without him.

However, from 17 to 19, the feeling of edge and danger had slowly begun to decline. She began to feel entrapped, like she was stuck inside the same boring facade. The missions stopped being interesting, the drugs stopped being good, her life was a never ending maelstrom of "Eh. I'll do it later." Even Lo and Al's relationship was heading in a downward spiral. Because Al was getting older, he began to go on more missions, leaving Lo alone for several nights. He began to stop taking interest in her and began to take this missions more seriously than he did the relationship. Lo would cry at night, wanting him to be close, wanting him to be with her, wanting him to want her. However, Lo was becoming nothing to Al, just another girl on the list. Just another wallflower. Lo couldn't take it any longer and she finally decided to confront Al, which she thought would benefit her, and she would have no regrets.

What a lie that was.

It was 3 AM and Lo had stayed up all night thinking of what to say. When she heard the door open she was ready to unleash a swirling tirade of girl power. She got up from the bed and began to say what she had been rehearsing for all night. She had asked questions like: "Where is this relationship going?" "Do you care about me?" "Do you still love me?" Alfonse remained silent, his fist clenching up with each teary-eyed question she asked him. Finally, he couldn't take it anymore and he struck her across the face with his fist. He then took a lamp and begun to beat her with it screaming obscenities like: "Whore!" "Slut!" "Bitch!" This went on for a bout fifteen minutes, leaving scars, bruises and scratches all over Lo's body. When he finally finished and begun to lay down on the bed, Lo was a crumpled up nothing upon the floor of their apartment. There were no tears in her eyes, no frown on her face, just revenge, pain and anger pulsing through her blood. She gathered up her things, and left everything, the apartment, The Skulls, Paragon City, her parents her Life, she left it all behind, and traded it all in for a ferry ride to the Rogue Isles.

Запустелый беглец: The Sorrowful Runaway

Before she left, Lo had to gather up a few things she didn't have. She bought a 'ninja mask' to conceal her identity, and bought some red hair dye to change her golden blonde hair to a deep, dark, red. She had gotten into her skulls uniform, dyed her hair, and changed her identity all on her ferry ride over. When she got to The Rogue Isles, she immediately headed over to the Registration building in Port Oakes and got herself a villain ID. She had decided to take the name that was originally intended for her given to her by her Russian mother: Lolaire. And from then on, her life had begun anew.

Appearance/Personality

SomewhatCurrentLo.jpg

Lo is a happy, carefree and has in infectious joie de vie that she has developed throughout most of her life having negative experiences. However, from these negative experiences, she also has an edge and is very skeptical. She tends to bore easily, mainly caused by her punk nature to always be doing something, dancing, rioting, what have you. She also tends to be cut throat and sometimes rude, which is attributed due to her large amounts of years in the Skulls and being an overall rebel. While she only recently acquired a high school equivalency degree, she is incredibly smart, an attribute that she doesn't make known, and an attribute she doesn't share with others, as she secretly fears it would ruin her image.

While she is happy and carefree on the surface, it belies her dark nature. She tends to keep her drug addicted, booze sodden, sex crazed, abusive past to herself, and has never told anyone to this day. It makes it clearer why she is so abrasive and rude sometimes. She tries very hard to hide her past, when the Skulls are even mentioned, she quickly attempts to change the subject. She doesn't really like to touch on her past, which is clear because she hasn't told anyone about it.

Lo also has two tatoos. One on her lower left hip of a skull, etched into it reads: Alfonso She has another tatoo on her right shoulder blade that is a red star, rimmed yellow that reads Половина совершенного мира which means Half the Perfect World.

Redemption

As her time spent in the Isles went on, she slowly began to realize that she had lost the thrill of villainy. It began to remind her of her days in the Skulls, and it began to bring up powerful emotions. Despite all of this, she still did many jobs in the Isles, however this time with a better intent. Eventually, she had begun to take little trips to Paragon City and do some more respectable jobs there. It wasn't long until Lo found herself donning a hero costume and fighting for good. This was followed up by a resignation from "The League of Mayhem" and purchase of a house in Founder's Falls. While Lo is a hero, she still has her cut throat attitude and villainous "edge."
