Ms. Omega was @BurntHeart's third attempt at creating a Kheldian character that was enjoyable to play. The first two attempts failed miserably and I had just about given up hope of finding a concept to go with the archetype that I could have fun with. Ms. Omega was influenced highly by the Marvel characters of Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk. Particularly by the idea of someone who is a superhero and bares very little difference between the "hero" personality and their "alter ego". Ms. Omega is a character who completely embraces the idea of being of superhero and enjoys it thoroughly. There is no distinction for her between being Ellen Mackenzie and being Ms. Omega, they are one and the same. Private life and hero life are completely intertwined.

Personality

Ms. Omega is blending of her former human personality and the Kheldian being that merged with her. Her human origins are that of an Olympic athlete, a gold medal winning skier; fun, vivacious, outgoing, self confident, competative, and compassionate. Her Kheldian origins are that of a Kheldian warrior; cunning, determined, brave, single-minded, and protective. The merger between the two beings, Ellen Mackenzie and Omega Sentinel, was complete and whole and now only one being remains, sharing both sets of memories and both personalities merged into one new being, Ms. Omega.

Powers

Ms. Omega is able to manipulate her Kheldian energies into various attacks and defenisve measures.

Kheldian Energy Blasts

Ms. Omega is able to manipulate Kheldian energies into focused blasts which weaken her opponents and possibly even send them hurling through the air. She is able to produce these blasts from both her hands and eyes, using varying amounts of force behind them.

She can produce blasts that explode on impact, damaging more than one foe at a time, or single targeted attacks to surgically strike an opponent deemed a higher threat.

These ranged attacks allow her to thin out a crowd of enemies before wading in to melee combat if needed, or allows to take out a target from a distance with out alerting their comrades to her presense.

If an enemy gets in close, Ms. Omega is able to quickly transition from releasing Kheldian energy blasts from her hands, to holding it in her fists, allowing it to embue her melee attacks with furious power and strength. She has been known to send a foe soaring through the air with just one punch, or leaving them disoriented and unable to move for a short period of time as the energy laced attack can interrupt synaptic functioning.

Kheldian Energy Shields

As a means of protecting herself, Ms. Omega bends her own Kheldian energies into force fields that surround her and shield her from physical attacks as well as energy attacks. Her shinning shields utilize quantum energies to repel the attacks of foes.

In addition to her protective fields, she is also able to reform her own energy essances to heal minor wounds while in battle and allow her to continue fighting when others might be overcome by damage to their bodies.

Energy Flight

Manipulating the energy flowing through her being as a result of the merger with her Kheldian predicessor, Ms. Omega is able to soar through the air on energy propelled flight. She warps the energy fields around her body and slides through the Earth's atmosphere. She is able to use this ability to fly at speeds clocked up to but not limited to 75 MPH.

Drawing on the memories of her past incarnations in Kheldian form, she is also able to traverse the void of space in this manner as well, though she has not left Earth since her merger. She reports the ability to manipulate her Kheldian energies into creating a warp bubble which theoretically would allow her to travel faster than light, thought this has not been proven or demonstrated.

Character History

Ms. Omega's history is a short one, only having recently merged with her Kheldian half. Prior to the merger, Ellen Mackenzie was a gold winning Olympic Skier, who's career was tragically cut short after an automobile accident in the Rocky Mountains.

After the accident she was paralyzed from the waist down and bound to a wheelchair. She spent several years as a spokes person for spinal injury research and used her prior fame to aid in raising funds for research in repairing spinal damage. She had been approached several times by representatives from Crey Industries, asking to allow Crey to fit her with their latest model of Cybernetic Legs. Ellen declined these advances from Crey. She publically made a stand that her fame should not allow her options for walking again that others would not have access to.

Public support of her decision and her continued work focusing on spinal repair research allowed her to enjoy the turn her life had taken, in spite of being confined to a wheelchair. After nearly five years of tireless work on behalf of spinal research; however, Ellen recieved dire news. The damage to her spine had begun, inexplicably, to spread and move further up her spinal cord. In a matter of months the damage would leave her completely paralyzed and then eventually she would die as her entire nervous system became paralytic.

As her motor skills in her upper body began to deteriorate, Ellen recieved a most unexpected visitor. A Kheldian energy being, only revealed to be amoung us on Earth one year ago, came to her hospital room and offered her a chance to save herself.

The being, known as Omega Sentinel, offered to merge with her as his current host body was dieing. Ellen was resistant at first, again siting that she should not be afforded opportunities others were not as fortunate to have. Omega Sentinel explained that Kheldians had been merging with human hosts for many centuries and that in fact, now that they had "gone public" volunteers for mergers were abundant. He also revealed many cases in which mergers were performed, with some regularity, in order to save a host human's life.

Leary of accepting this unbelievable gift, Ellen eventually agreed to the merger, and Omega Sentinel merged with Ellen Mackenzie, becoming the new being calling itself Ms. Omega.

Prior to the merger, Omega Sentinel had been a vanguard warrior for the Khelian race, who severed time both on Earth protecting the hidden Kheldian forces here, as well as patrolling this sector of space tracking down Nictus force threatening to enslave others.

After the merger, the newly formed Ms. Omega learned the truth behind the unexplained advancement of her spinal damage. Crey Industries, angered by her public rebuff of their offer, orchestrated movements of doctors and medical professions loyal to Crey, into the daily care of Ellen. They had injected her with barely detectible nanites which had been programed to distroy the rest of her spinal cord, then using the people they had put in place, manipulated test results of the procession of her damage to exclude any signs of the nanites.

Enraged by the news that her former human host self had been nearly murdered by Crey, Ms. Omega vowed to use her new Kheldian/Human abilities to bring them to justice and expose the reality this is Crey to the public, smashing the public facade.

Her work against Crey has been sidetracked several times since the merger, as other, more sinister threats have risen against her fellow Kheldians and the good people of Paragon City. While Ms. Omega rallies against these forces, she has not lost sight of her true prize, taking down Crey.
