WORK IN PROGRESS
Welcome to VirtueVerse, before you start a new page to be hosted here, or edit an existing one, you must agree to the terms below. These terms may be changed over time without notice to you. Important changes will be announced on the project forums or the VirtueVerse main page. You agree to be bound by any changes to this page (which is a protected page and not publicly editable).
If you do not accept and abide by this agreement, you may not use VirtueVerse. If you do not wish to follow VirtueVerse's policies, you may not edit these wikis.
Description of Service
VirtueVerse currently provides free wiki hosting for character related content for the online community of the Virtue server for City of Heroes/Villains (CoX). VirtueVerse's content is made freely accessible for informational or entertainment purposes to anyone with a connection to the World Wide Web.
VirtueVerse is a hosting provider, and takes no responsibility for the content uploaded by third parties. VirtueVerse's designated agent will act to remove copyright violations in a timely manner following the receipt of a DMCA takedown request.
VirtueVerse is provided "as is". VirtueVerse has no responsibility for lack of availability of any particular content. You should be aware that the wiki is editable by any member of the public who registers, and, as such, may contain inappropriate content at any time.
Any use you make of content hosted by VirtueVerse must be in line with the terms of our license. Most of VirtueVerse is available under a Creative Commons License and requires the permission of the owner for reproduction.
Any content you upload or post to VirtueVerse must be compatible with the relevant license and not violate another person's intellectual property or infringe on any copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, or other proprietary rights. No content shall be added which violates any applicable law, including local, state, national, and international laws.
No content shall be added to VirtueVerse that is tortious, threatening, harmful, hateful, unlawful, libelous, defamatory, harassing, abusive, fraudulent, vulgar, obscene, contains viruses, or is otherwise objectionable or potentially damaging, as reasonably determined by VirtueVerse or our hosting provider. However, please be aware that wikis may still contain content of an adult nature, or content that you may find offensive.
Page histories and mailing list archives are archives as defined under the US Copyright Act.

Warnings & Banning Procedures
- Users are expected to abide by the site's posted policies, guidelines, and etiquette.
- Contributors in good standing who violate the site's rules will receive one warning in the form of a message detailing the offense posted to their User_talk: page by a sysop.
- Any further violations after the warning is issued will be answered with a one-week block of the offending account's editing privileges.
- No further warnings will be issued if the user continues to be disruptive after the initial ban; any third violation will be answered with an immediate permanent ban of the account from the site.
- Accounts created expressly for the purpose of violating VirtueVerse policy will be immediately and permanently banned.
- All bans issued by VirtueVerse sysops will extend to the IP address used by the violator, and in turn all accounts using that IP address will be automatically blocked and new account creation from that IP address will be disabled.
- VirtueVerse reserves the right to weigh offenses on a case-by-case basis and adjust its disciplinary actions in light of the severity of the infraction, but the above should be regarded as a reasonable expectation of the process.
Access to VirtueVerse
VirtueVerse reserves the right to refuse access to their sites, or to refuse the creation of any content or account, to any user, for any reason.
VirtueVerse, or any individual piece of content, may be discontinued at any time and without any liability to any user.
Any piece of content may be closed, either to editing or viewing at any time and without notice.
Collection of personal information
User information is stored on servers in the United States. The only information that you need give is a username and password. The username does not need to be your real name. Therefore, any personal information you choose to give is not compulsory. VirtueVerse is not intended for, and may not be used by, children under the age of 13 years old.
All details submitted in your VirtueVerse request may be made public.
If you choose to enter a real name in your preferences, this could potentially be made publicly available. However, this field is optional, and there is no requirement for any user to give a real name.
Information from our server logs may be stored and used to gather aggregate data about users, and used to determine whether the identity of one or more users is the same in cases of abuse. This data includes your IP address, and details about your browser.
Your browser must permit cookies to be set (by *.virtueverse.com) in order for you to log in to VirtueVerse. If you do not make an account on VirtueVerse, you need not accept cookie requests from this site.
Changes to wikis
VirtueVerse reserves the right to close, move, merge, or rename, any page or piece of content for any reason. VirtueVerse shall not be held liable for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of any piece of content, or of the service as a whole.
All content on the site is available under the terms of the Creative Commons. All copyrights remain with their original holder, and VirtueVerse holds no copyright other than those of its own trademarks, and the edits submitted by the VirtueVerse owner (Kadekawa) and administrator (Admin).
You agree to indemnify VirtueVerse, its owners, employees, and users from any liability relating to your use of this site, or its content.
Disclaimer of warranties
Except in those jurisdictions which do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, VirtueVerse expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind and shall not be liable for any damages or losses whether directly or indirectly related to your use of this site or its content.
