-The Roxster Recap-

So far, Roxster has been left out on his own. Abandoned by his mother shortly after he left for college, Roxster fled from central Missouri to Paragon City, Rhode Island to try and escape from his past life. He has taken up a job at the Total Entertainment Center in Atlas Park, and has since discovered the ability to manipulate the earth's crust and the gasses beneath. He met Meghann and just recently proposed to her. The two are living together in his apartment in Steel Canyon.

Just When You Have It All Figured Out...

"Honey, I'm sure it's nothing. You just need to stop eating Mexican before you go to bed," her voice was calm and collected as I looked across the pillows into her eyes.

"Maybe you're right, Meghann. I'l just try to go to sleep and forget about everything," I knew that I would forget nothing, but I had to try and make her feel more comfortable. I didn't want her to know I was barely sleeping.

"Good night, Love," she smiled as her eyes drifted off to sleep. I kissed her and whispered the same.

The past few nights I'd been having the strangest dreams. I am awakened from my bed by two silhouettes standing across our bedroom. As one of them approaches the bed, I can see them in the moonlight. Their skin is rocky like mine can be when I am stressed. They have to be about eight feet tall, and two-thirds of their height is made up by their legs. Their head and torso is all one section, and their arms are just as long as their legs. One of them approaches me and extends their hand as if asking me to follow. As I sit up out of bed, that is when I usually wake up, cold sweat pouring down my face.

I rolled onto my back and closed my eyes. It didn't feel longer than a few minutes before I was passed out and I began the dream. Same as every dream before, the one creature extended his arm to me and I sat up out of bed. Only this time, I didn't wake up. I grabbed the creature's hand and followed him out the door and into a blinding purple and white light.

I sat on what appeared to be a large rock. My skin had changed itself to rock form and I quickly tightened on my gloves and shoulder pads so my radiation wouldn't leak out.

"Easy, my son." I heard an ethereal voice from behind me. I turned to face one of the creatures that I had followed. That's when I looked behind him and realized that we were floating in outer space!

"What th- Where the hell am I?!"

"This is all that is left of the planet Resmir, your home," the creatures voice was eerily cold as he said that last part.

"Wh-what?"

"We have been trying to find you for quite some time. We didn't know where you had vanished to until we picked up traces of a disturbance in this planet's crust. You need to know about your past, and how it begins before you found yourself and earth child."

"Maybe I should sit down," I said as I folded my legs upon the asteroid we were on.

"Do as you must," this thing didn't seem to care so much about me, as long as I heard what he had to say.

"This rock is where your story began. Many, many light years ago, Resmir was once a growing, thriving metropolis of life. The atmosphere was rich, the plant and animal life was seemingly unending. Then, the cutthroat people of the planet Transeamus attacked us. To this day, we have no idea what provoked this attack. Resmir was left in shambles.

"During the attack, I took you, my only child and hid you in a nearby forest. However, the Transeamans were ruthless, and soon found you and took you, a mere baby, captive. As Resmir was crushed, myself and your father fled into space to avoid being killed."

"Wait, wait. You're telling me that I'm...an alien? You're my mother?!"

"Quite frankly, yes. Neither me or your father know what the people of Transeamus have done to you, but from the way you look now, it seems they have transplanted some of their DNA into you. You do not look like a Remiranda anymore."

"Great. So I'm a half-breed."

"Ease up, my son. We did not come so far only to rain on your parade. The powers you have possessed for the past few months must have come as a result of your DNA transplant combined with the intensity of the planet earth's atmosphere. You were given these talents as a gift, and now, before my life and your father's life comes to and end, I charge you to use these powers to defend your new home, planet earth. Do you understand me?"

My face sank to the ground. I have to help with the whole hero bit? I know I wasn't given these powers for nothing, but I never imagined I would have to throw myself out there in danger. But, what else was I to do? Besides, it might be kind of fun getting to be on TV and the front page of every newspaper. A smile crossed my lips as I looked back up into my mother's eyes and and nodded.

"Good. Now, you must step through this portal once more to return back to your home. And you must make haste before your loved one awakens and realizes you are gone. I have only one last request to ask you," my mother's face seemed distant, "There was one last remaining Resmiranda that survived aside from you. I want you to find them."

I nodded once more and stepped toward the portal. I felt my body being lifted and transported through space as I turned and looked back to my mother. Wait! I'd never even asked her what her name was! I tried to yell out, but the pressure of the portal was too much.

I was back in my bedroom. Meghann was still sound asleep, undisturbed. Was what just happened a dream, or was I really from another world? I guess that would explain the fact that I don't feel like I fit in around here...except for with Meghann.

I slid back underneath the covers and pull myself up next to my fiance, putting my arm around her waist.

"Where did you go?" she said, sleepily.

"Oh, I just had to go get a glass of water. I think my dreams are over with."

"That's good, dear. I love you."

"I love you too."
