Description of Service
VirtueVerse currently provides free wiki hosting for character related content for the online community of the Virtue server for City of Heroes/Villains (CoX). VirtueVerse's content is made freely accessible for informational or entertainment purposes to anyone with a connection to the World Wide Web.
VirtueVerse Content
VirtueVerse is a hosting provider, and takes no responsibility for the content uploaded by third parties. VirtueVerse's designated agent will act to remove copyright violations in a timely manner following the receipt of a DMCA takedown request.
VirtueVerse is provided "as is". VirtueVerse has no responsibility for lack of availability of any particular content. You should be aware that the wiki is editable by any member of the public who registers, and, as such, may contain inappropriate content at any time.
Any use you make of content hosted by VirtueVerse must be in line with the terms of our license. Most of VirtueVerse is available under a Creative Commons License and requires the permission of the owner for reproduction.
Any content you upload or post to VirtueVerse must be compatible with the relevant license and not violate another person's intellectual property or infringe on any copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, or other proprietary rights. No content shall be added which violates any applicable law, including local, state, national, and international laws.
No content shall be added to VirtueVerse that is tortious, threatening, harmful, hateful, unlawful, libelous, defamatory, harassing, abusive, fraudulent, vulgar, obscene, contains viruses, or is otherwise objectionable or potentially damaging, as reasonably determined by VirtueVerse or our hosting provider. However, please be aware that wikis may still contain content of an adult nature, or content that you may find offensive.
Any content on VirtueVerse is the responsibility of the person who uploaded it or added it to a wiki page. VirtueVerse does not control the content and does not approve the content before it is published. Although VirtueVerse is not obliged to do so, VirtueVerse, or its designees, has the right to remove any content for any reason, including but not limited to a violation of these terms of use.
Page histories and mailing list archives are archives as defined under the US Copyright Act.

Warnings & Banning Procedures
- Users are expected to abide by the site's posted policies, guidelines, and etiquette.
- Contributors in good standing who violate the site's rules will receive one warning in the form of a message detailing the offense posted to their User_talk: page by a sysop.
- Any further violations after the warning is issued will be answered with a one-week block of the offending account's editing privileges.
- No further warnings will be issued if the user continues to be disruptive after the initial ban; any third violation will be answered with an immediate permanent ban of the account from the site.
- Accounts created expressly for the purpose of violating VirtueVerse policy will be immediately and permanently banned.
- All bans issued by VirtueVerse sysops will extend to the IP address used by the violator, and in turn all accounts using that IP address will be automatically blocked and new account creation from that IP address will be disabled.
- VirtueVerse reserves the right to weigh offenses on a case-by-case basis and adjust its disciplinary actions in light of the severity of the infraction, but the above should be regarded as a reasonable expectation of the process.
Access to VirtueVerse
VirtueVerse reserves the right to refuse access to their sites, or to refuse the creation of any content or account, to any user, for any reason.
VirtueVerse, or any individual piece of content, may be discontinued at any time and without any liability to any user.
Any piece of content may be closed, either to editing or viewing at any time and without notice.
