Biography
Roy Rebranto was born in England while on vacation by his mother's request, but he has lived the majority of his life in the United States, growing up and completing all of his formal education while becoming a legend on the college football field. However, to the surprise of everyone he knew, he did not want to venture into the world of professional sports and opted to seek a career that was not filled with superstardom and its perils. He settled down into a normal life working as a guard for a prominent sci-tech firm, but it wasn't long before he was thrusted into extraordinary circumstances.
His employment at the company was seemingly cut short when an experimental solid-sound generator experienced a power surge, causing a wave of energy to be thrust about the room where he was posted and knocking him into a wall. It was then that he gained his sound-based powers, but he would not know this until he woke up in hospital three days later when he complained of constant shivering sensation only to have the nurse run out with a ruptured eardrum. This continued for days, until he was outsourced to one of Paragon City's facilities that could "deal with him". He spent days learning about and the extent of his abilities from the physicians at the special facility, even experimenting with them, but his main concern was finding a way to harness his own voice to not harm anyone with it again. As an apology to Roy for the accident, his former employer stepped up to create and outfit him with a special knobbed control device (planted in his neck) that could let him change the frequency of his voice at will.
Having fully recovered from his ordeal, Roy decided that he would become a hero as repayment of what he feels to be his "debt" to Paragon City. After gathering enough funds as a hired hand and bodyguard to pay for a costume, Resonoshot now roams the city and adds his voice to the call for justice in its tumultous streets.
The Protagonists
Resonoshot was inducted into this group by Knights Reach. When internal disputes caused the majority of his superiors to step down (or simply vanish), he stepped up to lead the group for a time. He was officially promoted the Head of Operations due to the actions of a rogue Volt Spike, and Lady Champion's announcement of stepping down as the group's leader for a time. While the position was returned to the Champion upon her return, Resonoshot remains as a voice of good authority for the team.
Powers, Abilities and Equipment
Resonoshot has power over sound and the vibrations of himself and others. He is also able to render sonic energy as a solid form.
He has trained himself in the use of firearms and carries a pair of standard pistols with him. He prefers to use projectiles make out of solid-sound construction rather than actual bullets.
