Dreadnot uses his army of mass produced, albeit lesser completed version of Catalina 6.7, his prize AI project from when he was working for Servanta Technologies. He is seldom without one nearby, as well as his force field technology stolen from his previous employer as well. He's able to weidl limited Mu magic, after learning what he could from Scirocco.

Weaknesses and Limitations

Despite all his technology, Dreadnot is still your average human, comparable tolerance to heat and cold, the only thing you must do is get past his technology, which is far more advanced then most civilians have ever possessed. Another weakness is his reliance ON the technology he so dearly cherishes, his limited knowledge of magic, despite what he's learned from Scirocco, is another weak point.

Character History

Richard Dredskoff was born in Kaluga, Russia. Born of a former government scientist and a home maker of a mother, his life was somewhat bland, despite being near Moscow. Quickly however he was uprooted in a technology exchange with America as his father was placed in Paragon by the government to help work on a military project that would supposedly benefit all of mankind. The project never lifted off, but the government, citing his father’s value, kept and placed them in a new job in the city, working with alternative power supplies.

Time passed, Richard went to and graduated from Paragon University with a PhD in Applied Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Robotics, making his father proud and his mother the talk of his home town.

He was placed by the government, who had partially funded the teachings he had received, in various labs across the country, advising and working on military projects to subdue and counter any meta-human issues that may come up.

It came natural, as believed technology was more reliable then humans themselves. He helped develop the starting points for the PPD and other police forces to counter, what little they could, the meta-humans in the criminal element that was growing in the 80’s. Richard’s work was used somewhat when the PPD Hardsuit projects came up, integrating his AI principles into them.

After finishing paying off his debt to the government, he went to the freelance sector, eventually landing a job at Ser’vanta Technologies, a new and growing company that was headlining the way in steel usage and computer advancement.

Despite being oddly puzzled at the seemingly polar opposite ventures the company had, Richard proved a valued resource in the company, eventually leading up to his promotion as operation manager of it’s Computer Research department.

His true triumph came when the son of the founder, one Jeremy Servanta, took over as C.E.O., and the company really took off, profits sky rocketed, and so did Richards bank accounts as royalties on his technology rolled in.

It was bitter sweet however, for soon after, The Rikti invaded for the first time. His mother and father were killed in the first wave of attacks. He learned that the evacuation and rescue workers in the area were not able to handle such a large operation due to budget cutbacks slicing their amount of vehicles in half, and even those were out dated by about ten years.

Convinced that technology would have saved his family, he redoubled his efforts to increase the amount and quality of tech out in the private and public sector.

Richard’s TRUE triumph was when he was called in on a project by the C.E.O., Jeremy. Jeremy had asked, mainly in secret, for key researchers and thinkers to come up with a state of the art battle suit. Most were led to believe it was a government contract, but three people knew the truth: Jeremy was going to use the suit himself, to fight crime, despite having no real powers.

Richard was on of the three who knew. He came into the project during it’s 16th failure. He was disgusted, literally, at the ideas his peers had decided on. Telling them they were in the wrong to rely on user input solely, Richard implemented an A.I. system into the suit to compensate for Regeneration and Velocity Impacts. The suit was now able to work on it’s own after a short amount of time with the user, able to mold around the usage of itself, meaning, quite literally, that after a long time, no other person could use the suit due to it’s high level of personal customization.

The A.I. version was a complete success, Jeremy reported he was able to fend off several meta humans at once, and the medical system onboard administered what was needed to heal him in times of need as well.

Proud and confident of his work, Richard finally smiled, having not done so from the time he had learned his family’s fate at the hands of the Rikti.

Jeremy rewarded him with a large check, a bonus as most were told, and a promotion to the head of R & D Servanta Technologies.

Life was seeming to pick up again, and Richard began work on a new robot project, one that could replace the average solider in the field, making it so no human would ever be endangered in battle.

The A.I., whom he called C.A.T.A.L.I.N.A., inside the robot set was of such magnitude it would adapt quickly, so quickly it could wipe out a squad of SWAT troopers, or simulated ones in this case, in a matter of seconds. He, with Jeremy, made a pitch to the Joint Chiefs of Staff on replacing soldiers in the field. While impressed, the considered opinion was that replacing any soldiers completely in the field with A.I., was out of the question, and, during the heat of battle, should the enemy figure a way to manipulate the androids, could introduce “An unstable element into a critical situation.” Richard was insulted at the idea, and lost his temper at the meeting, calling the Joint Chiefs “Narrow minded”, and “butchers of precious life”. This tarnished the reputation of Servanta Technologies, landing the contracts they would have got to a rival corporation.

Jeremy was forced to fire Richard for his actions. Further more, due to the contract he had signed when he came onto his company, Jeremy retained all rights to the research he had done while serving as an employee. Richard was furious and in retaliation, destroyed most of his research on the CATALINA project before he could be thrown out of the building, causing further damage that would lead to the down fall of the company.

However, this was not the end of his journey, not by a long shot….
