OOC Information

Wow, I really like Backgammon. Out of my two mains, Alfred Polaris and Backgammon, Backgammon is so much easier to play. He came about because I wanted to play a Dual Blade Stalker as a villain and when I was making my character, this guy just sort of appeared. I wanted to play a "gambler" character, free-wheeling and charming. I've had a "playboy" character before, but he ended up more of a buffoon than anything else, but I'm really please how Backgammon came out. Oh, that all this isn't to say I don't like playing Freddy, I do. Backgammon's just a little easier.

History

"Coming Soon"

Powers

Due to an accident involving a formula that could concentrate a persons luck, Wesley now has an indomitable luck, a supernatural predisposition to having good things happen to him. This formula also increased his speed and strength above normal human means as well as dyed his hair a permanent blue.

Weakness

Though he tends to be lucky, there are many times when this luck simply runs out. When this happens, it's revealed that he can take a punch or bullet as well as any other person, and it also proves, no, his life isn't perfect. He tries to avoid this if at all possible. It's not his choice.

Affiliations

Wesley Ward is a low-level member of Veritas, Inc., which has allied itself with Dead Technologies. He's recently been promoted to "Misinformant."

Personality

Wesley is an obsessive gambler, taking bets on anything he can, and not turning down the chance to play cards with someone. He once claimed he was insane, when he first arrived on the Isles, but he decided to leave that and just accept himself as he is. Ever the charmer, Wesley takes all chances to flirt with and compliment any woman he comes across; oddly enough, he is generally very sincere. He does find himself to be more flamboyant than he was before his accident. This is most obvious due to his bright red attire (bowler hat, vest, pinstriped pants) and his bright blue hair. Lastly, while not necessarily "evil," he does kill when necessary and is okay with making the nameless-faceless population pay for his decadence. Only when he gets to know them does he feel some guilt.

Allies

Wesley came to the Isles to gather allies to protect himself from his pursuers but ended up with a few friends amongst the characters of the Rogue Isles.

Mindwalk: Isaak is Wesley's boss, but is also the person he's hung out with more than anyone else on the Isles. Appreciates his tact in using his mind powers and finds the man to have impeccable taste.

Titan Girl: Brooklyn suffers endless flirtation from her teammate. Wesley likes her sophisticated style, and jokes about how he loves a woman who can crush his skull. She can.

TechPunk: The first member of Dead Technologies Wesley met, Zoe impresses him with her talent in electronics and her overall social demeanor.

The Cardsharper: Much to his surprise, his sister Candice Ward arrived not too long ago in the Isles. Wes loves her and as much as he wishes she didn't have to come here, she did. Therefore, all he can do now is keep her out of trouble.

Enemies

Just because Wesley is a charmer does not mean he could wiggle his way out of every situation. He's made some fast enemies, some from his old days and some from his new times.

The Family: The Mafiosi are his least favorite people in the world, and for obvious reasons. He hates them because they cheat. They hate him because he stole.
