History
Mazia Crimson (aka "Crimson Kitty") immigrated from Russia to Canada when she was 17 years old. Mazia's mother was a practicing surgeon, but the Canadian government wouldn't recognize her credentials, and was told that she had to repeat post-secondary school in order for her credentials to be recognized. Mazia and Julia Crimson ended up in the same university, albeit in different programs: Mazia, in nursing; Julia, in doctoral med school. Both progressed rapidly through her studies and became very close to one another. Mazia has never met her father.
One day, Mazia returned home to find that her mother wasn't at the door to greet her like she usually was. Surprised, she moved into her mother's bedroom to find several figures clad in horned masks. Her mother was tied up and gagged. The figures, who declared themselves the Hellions Gang, poured gasoline over Mazia's mother and said, "You've helped so many heros, Julie. Now, you're gonna get burned for it!" Mazia was forced to watch as the apartment was lit ablaze. Her mother was too frightened to speak as the fames consumed her too. The Hellions were thankfully merciful enough to call the fire department, who helped Mazia out of the building. She could barely breathe.
Mazia remained in her own hospital for three weeks, the doctors and psychologists watching her carefully. It was then that they discovered that she had the amazing power to speed up the growth of cells and enzymes in the body. The third and fourth degree burns healed as if they were nothing. The doctors could not describe what was happening through any scientific means. Then, just as the doctors thought that she was ready to be discharged, they discovered an open window. A smiley face with two long cat ears was drawn on the wall in red sharpie.
Now, Crimson Kitty prowls the streets of Paragon City, searching for the Hellions Gang and everyone related to them. A small part of her searches for her parents, whom she thinks may be alive and living somewhere in Paragon City, or perhaps even the Rogues Isles or Praetoria.
Personality
Crimson Kitty is a mercenary. She does not much care for the morality of her actions when it comes to taking out the "bad guys". However, she has a strong sense of justice, and will the right thing whenever she can. She is empathetic and intelligent, but has a soft spot that sometimes interferes with her work. Some say she has a "Gemini" personality: in costume, she is an entirely different person than when she is outside of her costume.
Modus Opperendi
Crimson prefers not to directly confront her enemies. Instead, she will lure them out in groups of two (or three, depending on the strength of the attackers) and take them on, leaving some time to regenerate her wounds before moving on to the next group. Oftentimes she will attack from afar with her pistols, getting the drop on enemies before they get a drop on her. She loves using traps and other deceptive measures to get her opponents right where she wants them. Many are tricked by her appearance, thinking she is simply another costumed scrapper. She enjoys it when her opponents underestimate her abilities.

It's unclear where Crimson Kitty got her powers from, or how. Many doctors believed that the trauma she suffered from the incident with the Hellions Gang caused her body to be in a constant state of anxiety, which results in seratonin (the brain's natural pain killer) being pumped regularly into her blood stream. Thus, in order to heal another person, she must cut or otherwise harm herself so that the blood (and the seratonin) will flow. Her muscles, bones, blood and tissue restore and grow given enough time, which allows her to leap from great heights without hurting herself. Her heightened senses makes her flexible, agile and strong, but not superhumanly so.
Weaknesses
Mazia has an intense phobia of fire, which carries into her hero persona. She is also psychologically submissive when she is not in costume. In this state, she can be manipulated very easily. It follows that the best way to kill, or to dispose of Crimson Kitty is to discover her true identity. It is for exactly this reason that Crimson Kitty safeguards it, giving it only to those who earn her trust.
If Crimson Kitty is attacked by a number of strong enemies, she will be subdued rather easily. Wounds that cannot be repaired medically (such as death, coma, heart attack, paralysis, etc) cannot be healed by Crimson Kitty. She can, however, resuscitate people who are unconscious, not including herself.
Crimson Kitty can walk and even wade in small bodies of water (albeit with numerous complaints about it). However, she will drown in deep water.
