OOC Stuff

(( Cross came into existence after some binge watching of Outlaw Star. I’d been wanting to make a space based character, and after spending so much time with the OS crew, I knew he was going to be an outlaw. Inspired to a great deal by Gene Starwind and a few other sources (Farscape, Star Trek/Wars, etc) and coupled with the concept of a phasing toon that had been rolling around my head… Cross was born… And women everywhere either rejoiced or rolled their eyes! ))

My Life

The Boring Stuff

Oh where to begin. The beginning’s probably a good place, let’s start there. Grew up with the parents in Founder’s, I was a little angel of course. Straight A student throughout school, never got in trouble. I was the perfect son… Don’t believe me? That’s good, cause I was laughing while I wrote that.

I did alright in school, when I was actually there and not skipping or getting comfy in the principle’s office. I was always better at getting in trouble than following the rules and was damn good at getting out of the trouble again. So went through schools, getting in and out of trouble. Course my parents never seemed to mind as long as it was nothing really terrible. Hell, dad was always giving me pointers on stuff while mom just laughed and shook her head.

They were always supportive, was pretty awesome, really. Even when other parents got after them about me, they always stood by me. They said it was good I was creative, later on I found out dad was training me or teaching me, either way, for what was coming. Apparently dad used to be some space cowboy when he was young, even snagged himself an alien princess and married her. Course, mom’s people thought he kidnapped her instead of just sweeping her off her feet.

Was 16 when they finally found us, but mom was married and obviously hadn’t “stayed pure” so they didn’t want her. So instead, they swiped me. Just picked me up while I was at school, I tried giving them a fight, didn’t do me any good though. Dad ended up catching up with us, got me back and all, but by then I’d realized what was going on, picked up a few things, and was ready to start off on my own. When we got back to earth, mom gave me this… Thing. It altered my DNA, allowed me to slip into the Zarian pocket dimension. I said goodbye to them and hopped on board a ship piloted by an old friend of dad’s and my new life began.

Homecoming

It’s been a long time, but I’ve finally come back to earth. Space was fun, the freedom is intoxicating, but eventually, a guy just misses his own species. So, here I am, back on this little backwoods rock. Sure it might not be advanced, it’s kind of isolated and the people can be full of themselves, but it’s home, sorta.

So I land and head back to Paragon, cause if there’s anywhere on earth that can be exciting, it’s Paragon. Fighting Council Space Nazis never gets old! So I do my thing, go out and have some fun and help people out while I do. Gotta say, I’m always surprised by life’s little quirks. Here I am, helping folks out from a zombie invasion (Love this town) and I see some guy about to get snacked on. So I go, bash the zombie’s head in and get the guy back to his place in Atlas. Guy owns a coffee shop, and after we talked, even offered me a legit job to help pay the bills. Stand up guy, even though he didn’t believe me when I told him who I was. Of course then the Shreenar came in for a triple mocha with… Some other stuff, and he started to believe me.

So with a job and place to stay, I kept doing the whole hero thing, but honestly, one guy out doing the little stuff gets pretty boring after a while. That led me to searching for a bigger group, I figured, bigger the name, bigger the reputation, the more excitement, right? Took a month or so, but eventually found The Palladium Sentry and after a meet and greet with Matt I was in… And seriously enjoying the view.

MORE! TO! COME!

What I Do And How

Phasing

Thanks to the cocktail my mom gave me when I was younger, my body’s been linked to the Zarian pocket dimension, which is pretty awesome. The Zarian people are pros at this stuff, hell on their planet they don’t even have doors or anything, they just paint sections of the walls and walk through. Me, I’ve never been the traditional type, so I “practiced” it for other things. Course the Zarians think the way I use it is blasphemous and evil and all that, pretty sure I’m still banned from their entire galaxy. Not that I really listen to that.

Point Blank Phasing - That was the first thing I learned. Could phase parts of my body into Zarian space and shift through things. Take my word for it, being able to phase your hand through things at the right time never gets old and letting some stuff slide right through me pays off too.

Semi-Phased - After a while, I figured out how to phase more or less of myself into the pocket dimension. So I can go all ghost on people and they’d never notice, or I could only phase slightly and then… It’s like a spatial disruption, it’s great for fighting people. Hit someone while I’m semi-phased and they have a real hard time hitting back. Doesn’t kill them, but sure doesn’t look pleasant. There’s a lot of other levels for it,

Phased Healing - This one I actually stumbled on by accident, but if I take an injury, phase it into the pocket dimension for a sec… It comes out just fine, like nothing happened. Still hurts like a bitch, but at least it’s healed. Now, lately I’ve noticed that I can stretch that out. Sort of extend the phase field and heal other people. Not sure if it works as well on them, but it helps… I think.

Gear

Kintax Mk. IV Pistols - They’re not supposed to be out for a while still. Hell, the Mk. III just went into mass distribution, but I know some people. The Kintax pistols have this nifty feature of gathering airborne particles into a special chamber, compressing them, then firing them at high velocity. Which is pretty great because it means that I’ve basically got unlimited ammo and the Mk. IV has the new “Variable Injection” feature, so I can set the type of round on the fly. Oh! And the rounds tend to break down after about ten minutes. Makes them hard to take forensics on, sucks if they’re lodged in someone though.

Lerena - The ship, she’s my baby. Bio-organic vessel, able to jump into sub-space pretty much at a whim. Course she’s also got a bit of a thing for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love my ship, she’s sexy, but when it learns after the pilot and starts asking me to satisfy her… God that was awkward the first time. Anyhow! Probably not supposed to have her, the woman seemed pretty upset when I took her, but Lerena says she’s not into girls anyways, so I’m not worried about it.

Inertial Accelerators - One of the only things I've really ever added to myself with a long term effect. Cause that thing on Sinthryn doesn't count, I was trying to impress the Empress, I mean come on. But the Accelerators, they're these microscopic generators that build up inertial momentum as I move around, had them phased into my legs a while back. So now all I have to do is activate them and I can out run most Earth land vehicles.

The People

Friends/Lovely Ladies
  • Malicious Minx: Met this little kitten after a fight with someone else, we each blew off some steam with each other and now... Let's just say I'm addicted to the purr.
  • Zack: Zack and I joined up the same day, we've both spent time around the universe. He's a fun guy to swap stories with, even if he's tried blocking me a couple times.
  • Linda: First lady I met in the Sentry, she tries to be professional, but she's a flirt, we both know it. And get her in a bikini and she's damn fine. She wants me, even if she's trying to just be a tease.
  • Maia: She was one of the first people I met here, we've had some fun, kinda turned her blue once. She finally stopped hiding stuff from me, but I'm starting to think clingy is next. And I hate clingy.
Eh, Not Bad
  • Rainchild: One of the Sentinels, she kinda freaked me out at first, but we'll see if I don't win her over!
  • Beru Sun: We started off on no where near the right foot. She's apologized, still plays hard to get, but she's coming around!
  • Star: Let her get closer than anyone on this mudball of a planet and wasn't good enough for her, girl still didn't trust me for anything.
Bastards

Drop A Line

(( Say something about him, you know you want to. ))

"Quite an handsome guy, never really know that he would work out in a gym, but he's lookin' that sexy in a speedo, but still he is a well-known troublemaker who get's along with the ladies" Linda

Things You Might Not Know About Me

- I'm great with languages, might take me a little bit, and I might have had help with it, but I've figured out... I don't even know how many alien languages by now.

- Love trying new things at least twice. Cause you never know, first time might have been a fluke.

- I've only got one real warrant in the universe. Other than that my record is just minor things, getting in trouble for fights, breaking into restricted zones. Nothing horrible.
