Character Description
David Perlis is an artistic, intelligent, and thoughtful man in his late 50's. He has black hair, with patches of grey scattered throughout. He is a fairly tall man, around 6', with a healthy frame. As First Violin with the Philadelphia Orchaestra, David has had a very successful and lucrative career as a talented musician. He is also an amateur painter and writer, keeping a small book for his various poems and stories. As a father, he wasn't overly strict, but he made sure that his values were expressed to his sons. He taught both Spencer and Derek how to play the violin, although Derek later abandoned the instrument in favor of other interests. Although slightly disappointed, David still is proud of Dr. Perlis for continuing to play the instrument.
