David cuthbert
From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
Being one of my earliest Virtue characters, David is also one of my favorites and continues to grow as a character as I get more and more ideas for him, which once drove me to delete him at a high level and remake him all over again. David Cuthbert's personality is influenced primarily by fictional characters such as Solid Snake, Nick Fury, and even Batman to an extent, while his background and fighting style were influenced by movies like Kill Bill, Hard Boiled, A Fistful of Dollars, etc. But over time, David has become his own character, and one of most interesting to play.
This article about a character is a stub -- a small, but growing, work in progress. If you're the creator of this character, why not consider expanding it?

Personality
David is quiet, analyzing, and careful around people he doesn't trust. In a bar full of strangers, he's more likely to sip his drink in silence than initiate a conversation, though he has introduced himself to some in an effort to see what kind of person they truly are. Around his friends, however, David is more relaxed, and tends to be loud, raucous, and overall alot more fun to be with.
Rarely one to back down from a challenge, David would rather get his butt kicked than not try(which has led to him passed out on the floor a number of times after drinking contests). In a serious situation however, his ego dissipates and he adopts the mind of a chess player, carefully plotting strategies three steps ahead of where he is.
Fighting Style
A marksman at heart, David prefers his rifle over much anything else. He has a sharp eye and fast reflexes, able to draw his sidearm quicker than the fastest cowboy. Willing to use lethal force(depending on who he is fighting), he is not to be trifled with when the bullets start to fly. That is, unless his opponent is resistant to firearms.
David is also sometimes armed with a katana. Though not quite as skilled with it as he is with a gun, the blade has a special meaning to him.
David isn't completely defenseless when unarmed, though, and has enough experience and skill in CQC to disarm or take down multiple human adversaries at once. Lastly, David carries with him a number of useful gadgets into battle, such as smoke grenades, caltrops, and explosives.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Despite all this weaponry, David is still human. If you cut him, he'll bleed. Though he has a high tolerance for pain, most superpowered beings could tear him apart with ease. Because of this crucial disadvantage, David tries his best to keep a cool head in combat. Unfortunately, his other big weakness is his mind. He has learned and practiced countless techniques for keeping people out of his head, but even so, his mind is not impenetrable. He has had much difficulty against mind readers since he cannot formulate a strategy without it being known, and instead must rely on a more spontaneous combat style.
However, his mind is also his greatest strength, because of his ability to think up complex strategies in the middle of a chaotic battle, and being able to outwit your opponent proves to be a greater skill for him than any super power time and again.
