Dishonour-personality.png

Dishonour, real name Mackenzie Herald, better known as Mack, is a careful, calculated woman. She has lived a long time and such has learned that trusting people too quickly can be dangerous.

Every action is thought out and every move is planned. She seldom does anything on impulse unless the opportunity cannot afford time to plan.

She is anything but subtle: she wears steel-toed boots, kicks down doors, and will shoot first and ask questions later. She's easy to piss off and slow to forgive. If you cross her, she will destroy everything you love and finish you only when she has decided you have suffered enough.

Despite her vicious personality, the Ice Queen has a hidden soft side. If you can get beyond the frozen exterior, you will find that Mackenzie Herald has a heart of gold and a fierce loyalty to whomever she is devoted. Also, interestingly enough, she has a fondness for children and will often let them do things she would never forgive an adult for.

Dishonour's Meyer Briggs personality type is ISTJ

All following information is not of public record. If your character magically knows this information I will ignore you.

Mack was born in 1905 in Scotland. She came to America when she was four years old with her parents, Elidh and Margaret, and her older brother, William. She was born with her ice mutation and the locals home in Scotland became very fearful of her, assuming it was magic. The family hid her gifts to the best of their ability and decided to move to America for a fresh start.

Through patience and hard work, Mack's parents eventually managed to help her learn control and restraint and by the time she was six years old, she was able to control her powers. She kept them in check, but the attention devoted to their daughter made her older brother jealous and angry.

Unlike a normal girl, Mack's gift made her small and slowed her body's development. She would progress mentally for her age but physically, she aged very slowly. At age fifteen, Mack's father purchased a 1920 Indian Scout and let her ride it with him for the first time. She was small in stature: a mere four feet tall and with the body of an eight year old, but she loved every second of it. She took to helping him work on the bike and learned how to use her hands.

At age 20, she came to a head with her brother. He threatened to kill her if she didn't leave home: he was jealous and fearful of her and did not want her to hurt their parents. She said good bye to her parents and as a parting gift, her father gave her half their savings and his bike.

She never spoke to them, again, but sent letters home for the rest of her parents' lives.

Mack took to the roads and found work where she could. Even though she looked young, she was skilled. Her father taught her well and she used those mechanical and carpentry skills to earn money and make a living. She had a penchant for fabrication and building and it took her far. Nobody paid mind to the dirty shop girl and she was able to complete her jobs quickly and efficiently.

Never staying in one place too long, Mack made it her personal mission to explore the great country to which her parents brought her and spent no more than a month in any given place. Her journey, eventually, took her to Buffalo, at age 37, though she appeared to be only age 17 at the time.

Dishonour-divide.png
Dishonour-br.png

When skipping from town to town, Mack sought out local motorcycle clubs. There were two prominent groups in Buffalo at the time: The Black Knights and the Brown Recluse. The two clubs were rivals; outlaws. Now that she was bigger and able to fight more aggressively, Mack had no problems going into the tougher bars. She pulled in to The Brogue, home of the Brown Recluse MC one cloudy day in 1942. The men turned their heads at the blond girl in the motorcycle jacket and thought it was a joke.

The VP of the club at the time was a man named Ciaran Quinn. He approached her as she entered the bar and grabbed her ass. Mack wasted no time in breaking his jaw with a single blow. Instead of kicking her out, the injured Irishman bellowed with laughter and took her right there and then as his Ol' Lady.

Off-put by it at first, Mack resisted, but in time, fell madly in love with the younger-older man. Ciaran was 32 years old when she met him: tall, strong, and red haired. He was good to his brothers and gentle in nature. They were married within four months and started planning the rest of their lives together.

It was during this time that Mack came to a devastating realisation: no matter what she and Ciaran did, she would never bear children. The tragic downfall of her mutation was her body temperature could never sustain a life. Devastated, she devoted her life to the Brown Recluse and her husband, working to enrich their lives and run the club as House Mom.

In 1952, Ciaran was killed in a gunfight between the Brown Recluse and the Black Knights.

Dishonour-revenge.png

The news of her husband's death came to her late the night he died by two rookie police officers. Mack broke down, unable to function the rest of the night. She frosted over and the house she shared with Ciaran froze with her. By morning, she felt hollow, unfulfilled. She knew the life and she knew that business was business, but she didn't care.

The brothers at the BRMC tried to talk her down: they had a plan and they wanted to act, but Mack didn't care. She left the shop with her shotgun and was told never to come back. She confronted the men at the Black Knights Clubhouse and singlehandedly beat the brothers. The president of the club, Matteo Ippolito, confronted her. She flew into a rage and beat him bloody with her fists.

Certain he was dead, Mackenzie left the bar and collapsed in the middle of the road, laughing, where she was arrested. Mack was ready to spend the rest of her life in jail for what she did: in her mind, Ciaran was avenged and she could move forward.

Matteo Ippolito was also a mutant, as Mack quickly realised. He didn't die, though any normal man would have. His flesh regenerated and he played the victim, claiming it was a random attack against his club. Mack was convicted of aggravated assault and attempted murder and was sent to prison for 25 years.

While in prison, she underwent therapy. She put the facade of being good, actually operating illegally while behind bars, and after only ten years of incarceration, was released for good behaviour.

Much to her dismay, Ippolito was still alive, and he was in protective custody as long as she and every brother of the BRMC was alive. She had plenty of time to plan, so she took it.

Years passed and Mack moved from town to town, as she did after leaving home. She was fueled by her rage and desire for vengeance. She attended every funeral of every of her old club's brothers who died, and it wasn't until 1981 that she was afforded the opportunity to see Ippolito released from protective custody.

She faked her death in a horrific motorcycle accident, and after a daring escape from the grave, was free to take her old identity, before she was married, and find the man who killed her husband.

Mack rode all over the continent, looking for a sign of her prey. She rode from California to Florida, up the East Coast to Canada, to Newfoundland and back across to British Columbia where she turned north to Alaska. She went from the frozen north, back down the West Coast to California, and kept going south to Mexico. Having touched the four corners of the continent made her feel grounded and ready. She had developed a vast network of contacts and used them to find where Ippolito had settled after protective custody ended.

She was pleased to find out he had settled in the Rogue Isles. There was no more time to waste: the revenge was good and cold and she was ready for retribution.

Dishonour-divide.png

Mack arrived in the Rogue Isles at her own leisure, taking her time to ride up again to Canada for Friday the Thirteenth at Port Dover and stopping in at Buffalo to gather her supplies. She made the long ride down south and hopped a ferry to the Isles. It was a long journey with little enjoyment after leaving Canada, and by the time she rode into town, she was weary.

Sharkhead Isle was her first stop. She did her research and located a list of MCs in the area. After meeting a number of MCs in the area, she happened across the Wyld at Heart. With no drive left in her to travel, she dismounted her bike and headed in.

The bar was fairly sparse, only a couple people in at that point. She quickly warmed up to Turnbull and David and after several free beers, decided it wasn't a half bad place to stay. Turnbull offered her a room in the motel, which she took, and decided the hospitality was all right.

A week passed and it was apparent to her that this club, which offered their hospitality so readily, had a situation they needed to deal with. Having become a fairly trusted Hang Out, Mack offered her help and was readily accepted into the fold.

Mack's primary objective was her mission. She came in, drank, helped when the club was attacked, and headed out to do her own thing. The members in the Clubhouse started questioning her rapid departures, her scraped and bruised knuckles, and the black eyes and other bruises she came around with. Any question was responded to with, "Business".

After three days of hanging out, she was given a comm. After a week and a half, something even less expected happened: she found herself with her second Ol' Lady patch.

Without any sign or effort, the Iron Horsemen has become Mackenzie Herald's new family. She loves each and every brother and their Ol' Ladies. She protects the hangouts and the club, and would readily fight to defend them at any time. She felt a reluctance to involve them in their business, but after having grown close with the club President, Nelo Angilo, and even closer with the former Sergeant at Arms--now Vice President, Drako Grimm, she is finally ready to accept a helping hand.

Ciaran Quinn
Mack's dead husband. He died in 1952 when he was killed by a rival MC. She loves him to this very day and will not rest until she finished what she started.

Drako Grimm
What started out as good-natured ribbing quickly became a passionate affair. Mack and Drako have a rare bond: stronger than that to her late husband, and she has fallen completely in love with him over a short time.

Alan Grimm
Drako's son. Mack has embraced him as her own son and loves him dearly.

Nelo Angilo
The big Boss of the IH. They share a mutual respect of the rules and share an odd but heartwarming friendship. She would help him as best she could as he would, her.

Wicked Dash
A young woman Mack met at the Wyld at Heart. Far younger, but full of spirit. Mack has taken it upon herself to act as a role model, as she sees potential in Dash to grow and prosper as a strong and independent woman.

Turnbull
One of three people to initially greet and embrace Mack at the Wyld at heart. He offered her a place to stay, food and drink, and welcomed her warmly. She cares deeply for him and his family and would bend backwards to help them.

Winged Schema
Another person Mack greatly respects. He nudged Drako to chase her and the two of them often sit back, drinking and talking.

More to come as I add to this page.

Living mostly on your own for as long as Mack has means taking time aside to occupy yourself. Here is a list of several of Mack's hobbies.

  • Sewing
    • Sewing is a valuable hobby for someone like Mack. You do it to patch up wounds, patch socks, sew patches on your kutte, and making clothing. She did a lot of sewing in prison.
  • Guitar
    • Mack has owned several guitars over the years. She can play almost any song, in acoustic version, if she hears it and pays enough attention to it. Unfortunately, for her instruments, she generally ends up breaking them. Over people's heads.
  • Knitting
    • She would never admit to it, but she learned to knit as a child and kept it up. She knits herself a new sweater for winter every year and donates the old ones to women's shelters in her travels.
  • Cooking
    • When you live alone and live a long time, you need to know how to cook if you're going to survive. Mack is by no means a gourmet chef but she does know how to make all sorts of traditional Scottish fare, as well as standard American and Canadian comfort foods.
  • Fighting
    • Mack's favourite pastime is fighting. Her knuckles are constantly bruised and scraped or bleeding. It isn't entirely uncommon to see her with a black eye, either. Her response? You should see the other guy.
  • Building
    • Whether it's bikes, houses, trebuchets, or electrical, Mack likes working with her hands and isn't afraid of getting dirty while doing it.
  • Billiards
    • When you've been to as many biker bars for as many years as Mack has, you learn to get good at pool. She'll clear the table and hustle your money without blinking an eye.
  • Random Idiocy
    • Mack enjoys a good prank and a good joke. If something fun's about to happen, she's usually on board.
