Frost Girl is a Cold Domination/Ice Blast Defender and is currently in the process of being leveled. Her mutant abilities developed early in her childhood and have become more refined in their manifestations as she's grown older. At the most basic level, Frost Girl is capable of cooling the air surrounding her to temperatures well below freezing. Intense training and a series of experimental treatments have allowed her to extend that control into the manipulation of water vapor. She is then able to form ice constructs in a variety of ways and use those constructions to protect her allies, damage her enemies, or create an array of frozen objects.

Born to a family of mutants and political activists, Harley Bryson grew up in an environment often filled with passionate and rancorous debate. Her father served as an adviser and consultant to several politicians in Washington, D.C., while Harley's mother worked as a lawyer for the American Civil Liberties Union. All of the Bryson children demonstrated varying degrees of meta-human abilities, and they also inherited their parents intense love and devotion to defending the rights of underprivileged Americans. Harley spent her adolescence and college career balancing volunteer work, while also learning how to better control her mutation. She firmly believed that she'd been given a gift and that she had a responsibility to use that gift to help those who needed protection. She advocated for a range of causes, but Harley was particularly focused on assisting the victims of domestic violence and violent crimes. That passion eventually prompted her to become involved in initiatives that addressed those issues on a worldwide scale, not just in the United States.

Her commitment to protecting those who couldn't always protect themselves led Harley into more than one confrontation with law enforcement and the legal system. While proud of their daughter's intense devotion to justice, Harley's parents encouraged her to work within the system and avoid stepping outside the letter of the law for expediency's sake. As a teenager and then as a young woman in college, Harley didn't always agree with the wisdom of her parents' advice. Still, she did listen to them - more often than not anyway. College and the maturity that came with age tempered some of Harley's impulsiveness, and during her junior year in college, she decided she would attend law school after graduating. However, those plans came to an abrupt halt in 2008 when her parents went missing while on vacation in the Czech Republic. An investigation into their disappearance yielded no solid leads, but the Bryson children managed to find some information that indicated their parents had been involved in something major. And that something had led to their abduction. They haven't been able to confirm any of their suspicions, but none of them have given up hope of finding out what happened.

Details, Details

  • Frost Girl was born on May 27, 1987, in Washington, D.C. Her full name is Harley Elaine Bryson, and she's the youngest of four children. Her parents, Jeremiah and Samantha Bryson, have been missing since 2008 while presumably on vacation in eastern Europe.
  • Harley has one brother and two sisters. She remains close to each of them, but she's particularly dependent on her oldest sister for advice and guidance. Joanna Bryson was the one who suggested Harley move to Paragon to pursue work as a hero. After several unsuccessful attempts to find her parents (and the subsequent legal troubles that accompanied those attempts), Harley finally agreed and moved to the city in 2010.
  • Harley is 5'7" and usually weighs between 135-140 pounds. She's an avid runner and swimmer, and she's in excellent physical condition. She's got long brown hair and dark green eyes.
  • She received a Bachelor's degree in history from Georgetown University and is still toying with the idea of going to law school someday.
  • Most of the art in Harley's apartment consists of black and white photos taken of famous monuments such as the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument.
