The Stellars

The Stellars is an alien humanoid race inhabiting a planet a couple million lightyears from Earth. Their first appearance on Earth was 100 years ago, when a Stellar, traveling in black holes, dived on Earth's atmosphere by mistake. He was codenamed "Harbie", and was studied by NASA and US departments. The fact that they can speak any language on the universe quite quickly was the success of experiments made on him.

Their resemblance to a human is so big it's actually unknown if they're descendant from humans themselves. A very famous Stellar hero, named Terrdak, commented this particularity: "Stellars descending from humans? More likely the opposite, if you ask me". Stellars are almost all blonde. There's only one documented case of a black-haired Stellar, deceased during the Rikti War. All of them, upon birth, have IQ scores of Genius or higher. They feed on star energy, and without it, they can die just as a human being can die by starving, so it's known that Stellars can travel through space faster than lightspeed if they learn how to transform themselves into star energy. Their aging is quite odd; there are cases where a 182-year old Stellar appeared to look at his 30's, while another 93-year old was looking at his 50's. Most live until their 200's, and in their last 2 years, their aging advances until they look like they're on their 70's. Female Stellars live slightly longer, on average, by a 10-20 year margin, but age much slower. It's unknown how and why this aging effects this way, but Stellars agree that the Sun and the 4 stations of the year affect them in this weird life cycle (Stellars live until their 300's in their planet, Thraee).

During puberty, Stellars manifest their most particular power: the manipulation and projecting of star energy. Most agree that this fact happens mostly on sunny days, when they learn how to absorb and manipulate this energy. By constant training and breaking their personal limits, a Stellar can volley energy blasts and waves. This type of energy is quite powerful, increasing as the Stellar learns how to absorb and unleash it. There are cases where Stellars were able to increase their muscles sizes, create energy rains, alter their metabolism to perform amazing stunts of reflexes and speed, heal their own wounds, access Paragon City's teleporting system, between others. It's known that all Stellars reach their limits once in a while during their life. But mostly, on near-death situations, they learn how to harvest this amazing power in different ways (Galaxy Cometrider was able to create a personal force field on an Arachnos trap near his death. The forcefield was up enough time for hero reinforcements arrival).

Stargazer's Hybrid Characteristics

Stargazer, as a human and Stellar hybrid, can manipulate this energy and unleash it in different ways, but his energy starts to fade as he tries to volley it in a form of a projectile. So he relies on his Stellar powers to manipulate his own body into a weapon. His punches, when enveloped in this energy, can bring down a normal human to death, if he doesn't hold it. On his actual stage, Stargazer can manipulate this power to make superhuman jumps, increase his own physical power for a brief time, use the energy as a fuel to his attacks, and others.

Stargazer is the only documented hybrid in the universe, so it's currently unknown if his powers will follow the same standard of the Stellar race or have any different paths. However, Terrdak himself upon knowing of Stargazer, said that Stellar and human hybrids reach no limits with their powers. "A hybrid has no limits since Stellars are born with a gene that 'locks' the development of his powers. If it wasn't for it, they would absorb so much energy they could explode upon reaching their limits. However, this is due to the fact that Stellars feed on star energy to survive. Stargazer has this gene 'turned off'. It's out of my knowledge if a hybrid, that survives by eating, can control this phenomenon".

Of all Stellars known by the human race, 9 are living today at Earth (excluding Stargazer), all documented at NASA and Paragon's files. This number is almost a mistake, since more than 30 Stellars were known to have aided the Paragon City heroes during the Rikti Invasion.

Stargazer and Sean Rizz

Sean was born in an unknown location of Paragon City, born son of Galaxy Cometrider and Silvia Rizz. Son of a hero and a businesswoman, Sean was not your common kid. Learning to talk at 2, and to read at 2 and a half years old, he was the kid without a father, and his busy mother couldn't handle raising his son, so he lived in a mansion in King's Row with 9 servants around him. At 15 years old, Sean was attending college (his highschool was finished in 6 months, and he proved worthy of not needing to attend it by doing 6 graduation college exams, and a MBA test. All had scores B+ or above), and 2 years later, he graduated in Business Administration at Paragon University, working as a senior supervisor at Rizz Eletrics and Oil Co.

After his graduation, Sean learned the truth about his father and his origins after almost killing a criminal trying to steal his wallet. His punch was full of star energy, breaking his jaw in many parts. Silvia explained the truth to Sean while he waited. He didn't express any reaction on knowing the truth, he just wanted to know where was his limits. In the Rizz mansion's basement, Sean started to train his newly found powers. However, he soon discovered he could harvest them more easily on open fields, be it night or day.

Silvia deceased on Sean's 17th birthday. Too busy with work, Silvia forgot to buy Sean's birthday present. In a hurry to buy something for him, driving while speaking at her cellphone, she crashed on a truck driven by a Hellion gangmember. Her death was documented as instant by the medic analysts. Sean couldn't handle his mother's death, and decided to leave his job to dedicate on his recent powers. It was when he found Cometrider himself at his mother's funeral. A very famous hero, Cometrider left a bouquet of flowers at his mother's grave and leaped to fly away. It was when Sean started to call him. Not getting notice, he grabbed a rock and threw it several hundred feet away at Cometrider. The rock found it's target, and Cometrider turned back to see what had hit him. Seeing Sean at a distance, he flew to him and spoke what would be his last words to him: "Your aim is good, my son. One day, you'll become a hero, just like myself. Your sense of justice is inherited from me, I can feel it running through your veins. When you feel you're ready to fight for everything you love, everything you most care in your life, I'll be watching from above".

Sean watched his father fall in battle 1 month later, victim of the Rikti War, just like many heroes. His mansion was one of the main entrances to the Rikti universe, and many aliens came from it to invade Paragon City. What they didn't know is that from it's basement, Sean was planning to take it back with his own hands...

The Birth of Stargazer

At start, Sean would come at night, when the Rikti started to send less troops, and fight with the Rikti at his underground tunnel leading to King's Row sewers. After his first fight, Sean learned that his amazing eyesight would come in handful. Armed with submachine guns, he could shoot and kill some Rikti, but he noticed that his guns weren't accurate enough to shoot where their shields couldn't protect them. It was when he grabbed a bow for the first time.

His arrows were coated with a special oil developed by himself. The oil first would shut down the Rikti shields, and then malfunction their communications mainframe located at their body armor. This way, he could defeat Rikti without warning the others, and progressively advance through the portals and deactivate them.

The plan went quite well, and soon Sean managed to shutdown his mansion, together with the help of several heroes trying to shut down the mansion as invasion checkpoint. With the Rikti Invasion gone, Sean would now prevent anything this evil to come to his town again. He managed with his previous contacts access to technological equipment, such as top-edge bows and arrowtips. He then created a uniform that could store his energy absorption and unleash it in a massive way. His mask and uniform details, the source of most of his powers: the stars.

Galaxy Stargazer was born.

Personality

Stargazer has a sharp sense of humour, together with some degree of outgoing personality. His outstanding intelligence, but shaped body, makes him also a chick-magnet at times. The bad part of it is that he also knows about that, and tries sometimes too hard to impress females. All in all, he's friendly with most heroes, and tends to make sarcastic jokes and a few innuendos about girls. Some say he's a "playboy in a hero suit", but Stargazer is much more complex and much more simple than that. He loves pet animals, and will try his best to save any kind of this type of being in danger.
