Background

Early Life

Different

Karri began to realize she was 'different' in her junior year of high school when she started taking more notice of the girls in her school than the boys. While she had dated a few boys in her class from time to time, he never really connected with any of them. And, like many teens caught in this sort of sexual identity confusion, Karri had a hard time admitting to herself that she was gay. Until Marcy Winkler.

Marcy was a transfer student that arrived during Karri's senior year and the two of them hit it off. Their friendship blossomed into romance a few months later. However, both girls swore to keep their relationship a secret as neither of their families would be accepting of it. Karri's family was a military one; her father, grandfather, and several aunts and uncles were all military at one point in their lives. Marcy's family was very right wing conservative. With her father running for a senate seat that year (And her parent's stance on certain 'taboo' subjects, as they called it), she thought her coming out would ruin the family. But, as is the fact with all good things...

Unfortunately, it was Marcy's family that found out first about their daughter, catching the two of them in their house when Marcy thought they were away on a campaign trip. In no time at all, to quickly cover things up and protect their public image, Marcy's parents transferred her to a private school in Europe, leaving Karri heartbroken and alone. Fortunately, in their desires to keep things quietly, Karri's family never found out about their daughter. So, her sudden decision to join the military was met with joyful surprise and no questions.

The Military vs. Karri Andrews

Karri had always been considered a bit of a tomboy so the rugged life of the military was never much of a problem for her. She excelled at basic training and, in no time at all, found herself assigned to a military facility several miles outside Paragon City. Life finally seemed to be going her way. She had a career she was rapidly advancing in and, by this point, had forgotten about her past heartbreak. She had even been able to keep her secret safe. That is, until her new commanding officer, Major Cassandra Wilmington took notice of her. A look Karri found herself returning on numerous occasions.

For the second time in her life, Karri found herself engaged in a secret relationship. However, this time around, Ms. Wilmington was not the caring and supportive partner Karri was hoping for. To her, Karri was nothing but a means to relieve the stresses in her life and, when their secret finally came out, the Major practically threw Karri under the bus. In no time at all, Karri was court-marshaled and discharged from the military.

Energy Fields

This is not so much weather manipulation as a combination of telekineticlly controlling the air/water she freezes. She's learned rather quickly to create cold gusts of air and freeze the moisture around areas to create freezing rain. Like her cryogenic powers, these abilities have developed at an exponential rate since her arrival. Something that has frightened her a little since she does not want to lose control over such potentially damaging abilities.

Leaping

Out of all the powers she developed, Aggie was overjoyed when she learned she could actually fly on gusts of cold air. She spent days mastering this ability and is the one thing she loves to do when she's not out saving the city.
