Character History

Hank Garcia was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. A normal hispanic childhood. Large family, loving parents, bothersome brother. His father would raise him on the ideals that though the world maybe hard and some people may be cruel, It is our duty to be above all that. That you do not need to wear tights and a cape to be a Hero, though it did help. His father was a daily reminder that he should stay strong and true to what is Right, to honor and to justice. He never strayed into the darker sides of Los Angeles, never tempted to join a gang or do crime. After High School, He made a living in construction as a Demolition Man for the company, UniFall. This company was known world wide for being one of the major construction company to take a step forward to the reconstruction of the war torn buildings after the first Rikti War and other Super Heroic battles. During a routine job in London, England, a historic castle was marked for renovations and to have a piping installed beneath the castle. Hank Garcia was sent to demolish an ancient Well in the middle of the Courtyard to make room for the construction. Unknown to Hank Garcia, An ancient artifact, know as the Anvil of Kings was left at the bottom of the Well. The explosion that destroyed the Well was not enough to destroy the magical Anvil, but strong enough to send a piece of it flying into High Tower's chest, piercing his heart. He was hospitalized and was in a Coma for about One month. When he recovered and returned to work, he found that his body was changed, now being able to take a wrecking ball to the chest without a scratch and capable of lifting tons of construction equipment at one time. His family were surprised and insisted that he put these new powers to a better use, as a Super Hero. His friends suggest using the moniker of High Tower as a Super Hero named and he started his new career as a Hero on the streets of Los Angeles, fighting back street crime and situations where the police couldn't handle it themselves. He himself reduced crime in Los Angeles to a amazing 30 percent before he was told of Paragon City, the City of Heroes. He decided to fly to Paragon City and to help along with Heroes around the world to protect this City and also to follow the trail of the mystical Anvil of Kings, the very object that gave him his powers. He has established himself within Paragon City as a member of the Gods of the Golden Age and one of Paragon City's most beloved Heroes.

History of the Anvil of Kings Written by Nina Estella, M.A.G.I Detective. The Anvil of Kings was named after King Arthur assigned a magical anvil to the royal swordsmith who worked on the swords of the Knights of the Round Table. The anvil has many magical properties. It is only a legend but it is said that King Arthur comissioned a new sword being made for times of peace. In 19 Days a new sword was created. The sword was named Clarent, The Sword of Peace. The sword was to serve the purpose of knighting new knights. When war came upon his kingdom Arthur took Excalibur, leaving behind Clarent and went to war. Legend has it that, The Clarent was then taken by the traitor Mordred who took the throne and upon the Kings return, killed King Arhtur with the Clarent. This information is limited only to sources from old journals found in archeological diggings around Europe. According to a hospital report from from The London Royal Free Hospital, a young construction worker Named Hank Garcia placed demolition charges at the bottom of the well where the Anvil of Kings was located and when the charge detonated, a piece of the Anvil was Lodged into the Heart of the man. He was rushed to the hospital and upon discovery of the shard and removed the shard of the Anvil from his heart. During the one month recovery process of Hank Garcia, the shard of the Anvil of Kings was then turned in to a Hero Corp Agent who worked for the M.A.G.I unit. The M.A.G.I Field officers were on site at the construction time for a week in search of any remaining signs of the anvil and once discovered it was thoroughly studied by the employees of M.A.G.I and it was decided that the Anvil was indeed the Anvil of Kings. The Anvil of Kings is currently on display in Hero Corp Building at Atlas Park In Paragon City in Rhode Island USA. The Shard that was found in Hank Garcia's Body had seem to have lost some of its magical properties and once it was discovered that the victim had suddenly gained supernatural powers it was believed that the powers of the shard were absorbed into the body of the young man. Hank Garcia has developed Super Strength, Invulnerability and the power to fly. It is not yet fully understood the full potential of the power of the Anvil of Kings and M.A.G.I will be keeping a close eye on High Tower, Hank Garcia's new Persona, and watch for any further developments.
