Troll is TROLL!

Personality

When she's calm and happy, Hilde is merely an eight foot tall amazon who wants to flirt with boys and get her way, like an average just-out-of-highschool girl; it just-so happens that she's also a terrifying troll with a strong affection for superadine, which keeps her dim-witted, but powerful and leggy. If she takes too much dyne, or is exposed to a special strand of purified/altered dyne, she grows even larger, her skin fractures, horns burst out of her head, and she supatrolls the hell out of anyone around her. At this point it is even more difficult for her to properly organize her thoughts (unless the drug was specifically made to keep the brain from burning off more brain cells) and it can take quite a lot to calm her down. Because of her excessive use of superadine, it has also left her sterile, much like excess steroids might.

In Character Powers

Hilde-furioustroll.jpg
Hilde's powers are different from a usual dynesclusive troll due to the makeup of the disease in her body along with an odd effect of a magnetic bracelet she had worn when she was still human that had been absorbed as she transformed into a troll (which is the mumbo-jumbo explanation for electricity powers). Because of the magnetism, she is able to control metals instead of just plain stone. Her Granite power looks more like a steely Quartz rather than a rocky Quarry.

The only time this is different is when she is SupaTrolled out; there is so much superadine in her system that it infects the metal, turning all armors from silvery-colored metals to neon green dyne-infused irons.

She is also capable of casual metal control, and as a SupaTroll can dent/bust/snap metal with complete ease.

Despite all this, unless she is grounded soundly, any mental attack can cripple her, and she has difficulty working poisons through her system. She also moves typically slowly due to the sheer weight of all the metal she pulls up around her body.

Appearance

Hilde is always tall, always a little thique, and usually blushing, for one reason or another. Her hair and eye color didn't change when she went troll, staying blonde and blue, though her legs grew a lot longer proportionally. She usually just smells faintly sweet with an undertone of something metallic, like the tang of blood. Despite being bashful, she's still a 19-going-on-20 year old who loves showing off, and tends to wear tight clothes for it, though she'll deny it if you point it out. She is usually smiley and gentle unless there's dyne involved, or a recently smashed mission she's still coming off of, in which case she is still smiley, just a little maniacal.

Background Story

Hilde-daboys.jpg
Hildegaarde, or just Hilde (with long 'ee') for short, was an excitable, loving high school cheerleader when both she and her little sister Astrid contracted a rare virus with a 99% mortality rate in humans (though not a fast-moving disease by any means), as well as all other species except for trolls, which were not effected at all. Hilde was older and stronger than her tween sister, and kept her hopes up while searching everywhere she could for a cure, researching in her free time, making lots of phone calls, and spending her own time and money to make trips to important places like New York City and Atlas Park.

Unfortunately the answer was always the same; there was no viable cure. While trolls were immune, any vaccine made with their makeup was rejected by other species, except for one rare case, where the troll was also the cousin to the infected. In this instance, the vaccine worked.

When Hilde found out about this, she started looking into troll culture and the effects of Superadine. Upon making her mind up, she promised her little sister she would come back in a while with a cure. She left herself a letter, and upon finding a disreputable dealer in Skyway, fell off the radar. After just a month of constant Supes abuse, she began to change, growing from 5'5" to 8'1"; she was also completely bestial for most of this time, getting in with the huge, slow-witted gang centered in The Hollows. But after a few short, unpleasant altercations with some of the other trolls, she escaped the group.

The abuse (both physical and drug related) caused her memory to fade sharply. Memories of her sister, family, home-town, the letter she made for herself, and everything else before she became a troll started to slip beyond her grasp. While the memories are still there and fade back in and out occasionally, it is very difficult for her to reach for them. Others have tried to help her retrieve the memories, but her mind rejects the technology.

Now she is more in control of her anger, and generally is talkative now and a lot more excitable thanks to a newfound trust in other trolls. She generally doesn't trust anyone shorter than 6'5" until she has made friends with them (unfortunately this means she blindly trusts giants). She still maintains a heavy Superadine addiction, and if she takes too much she will temporarily become utterly dim-witted but powerful, glowy, and terrifying.

The status of Hilde's sister is unknown, plainly because Hilde can't remember this sister exists yet.
