Introduction
Ever get into a taxi, only to find yourself hurtling down the street, weaving though traffic, the driver cursing at the other cars out the window? Then you're probably familiar with Oliver Kowalczyk, the worst... or best...(it's debatable) taxi driver in Paragon. At least, that was before the accident. A car wreck left Oliver in a coma, and with no close family, a doctor on Crey's payroll had him declared dead and had the "body" sent to a Crey Medical Testing Facility. Once at the facility a team of scientists began experimenting with electro-cellular "therapy", exposing Oliver to varying amperages and voltages of electricity via highly advanced equipment. After several months the experimenting stopped, and the subject was ordered to be disposed of at a Crey owned industrial incinerator. While en route to the other facility through a severe storm, Oliver was struck by lightning, waking him and incapacitating the driver. After making a full recovery, thanks to Paragon's real doctors, Oliver discovered that he could produce and control electricity. Now if you see a streak of black, yellow, and red charging down streets and sidewalks, knocking over people, wreaking havoc in traffic, you're probably familiar with The Hot-Rodder.
Personality
Hot-Rodder is one of the most hot-headed, stubborn, and arrogant heroes in Paragon. Overconfident in his abilities, he often finds himself outnumber and outgunned, completely overwhelmed, often coming out on top only by the skin of his teeth or the intervention of another hero. Aside from his fighting abilities, Hot-Rodder is incredibly cocky about his speed, often claiming to be faster than Synapse. After years of living with Super Speed, he has also become impatient and gets frustrated waiting quietly. Hot-Rodder isn't all bad though, putting his friend's well-being ahead of his own, constantly vigilant and ready to go at a moments notice, and dedicated to protecting innocent lives and bringing dangerous criminals to justice.
