Jordin was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. His mutation started to manifest around the time he was nine, and became fully realized with the onset of puberty. During childhood, he always shared his parents' fair skin and light colored hair, though a side effect of his mutation was a gradual darkening of his features to a more Mediterranean hue. Eventually, as his mutation became more and more apparent, a group of bigoted vigilantes set fire to his family home in the middle of the night. No one escaped the blaze. As the fire was extinguished, and the wreckage was sorted, his unconscious form was laid aside, miraculously untouched by flame, though everything around him was scorched to cinders.
In the days and weeks to follow, he was eventually ruled out as a suspect in the arson, as the crime scene indicated that the arsonist left after setting the house ablaze, as opposed to climbing inside to be discovered in the inferno. He spent the next several months going from foster home to foster home, his mutation and abilities making him the perpetual outcast. Eventually, he heard about Paragon City, and he ran away that same night. Part of him thinks he ran away from the feeling of being an outsider, or toward a feeling of being able to belong somewhere.
Finding shelter in Paragon City wasn't easy the first few days, but he finally found someone willing to take him in and make use of his abilities, Galactic Shield.
Has a sad look to him, and is constantly fidgeting with something, usually his mouthguard or rubber bands attached to his braces.
