Iron Kylie
From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
Information and Demeanor:
Kylie Sheppard was sent to the Zig after plotting to murder her own father, and succeeding. After being turned in by her mother, whom Kylie went to thinking she would approve of what she had done, Kylie was shipped off to the Zig. While she was in there, she used her methods of persuasion (which were later detected as a small telepathic influence) to make friends with an imprisoned soldier, who helped her escape during one of the Arachnos raids. This led her to the Rogue Isles.
As she entered the world of the Rogue Isles, she was lost, a tad confused and directionless. She was quickly spotted by one of the leaders of the Iron Wolf Cartel, Kaino, and was recruited into it. During her time with the Cartel, she grew very close to her leader, Kaino and they formed a relationship. It was also during this time that her other employer, Jack Fear, grew quite fond of Kylie.
After taking a short break home, with Kaino, to help her sick mother move overseas, Kylie returned to the Isles, expecting to find Kaino waiting for her, but this wasn't the case. During the following weeks she went through a great deal of emotional turmoil waiting for her beloved to return home. During this time, Kylie's training grew as did her position in the Cartel and she was promoted to Commander very quickly, for her loyalty and unusual sense of compassion.
As a part of her training she decided to adopt a Patron. She chose Ghost Widow, even though her natural choice should have been Black Scorpion. As she approached Ghost Widow, her psychic ability was detected, and the untold capabilities that she possessed forced Ghost Widow to kidnap her as a part of the new Arachnos Soldier Training program. This was later revealed to also be for selfish personal protection reasons on behalf of the Widow.
Her training saw her taken to one of many of the facilities where she was held captive for several months, replaced with a clone, and tortured until she had become the perfect assassin. The only thing that held her together throughout the ordeal, was the fact that she may indeed one day again see Kaino. Unlike most of the other Arachnos soldiers, Kylie escaped from the facility, stealing a uniform and killing a number of the Operatives. She became highly wanted by Arachnos. She headed back to the Cartel, to retrieve all of her files to destroy them, so as to protect her 'family'. However, she was discovered by several new members of the Cartel and Kaino, who immediately recognised the real Kylie from her scent.
During her absence, she discovered the truth. She had been replaced by a clone, who was also responsible for the end of her relationship with Kaino and that Jack had disappeared along with Kaino's absences becoming more and more frequent. After a discussion with Kaino, she decided that she would stay and run the Cartel with a new, determined resolve. Outraged by the changed that had been made to the Cartel and the insult she felt it brought to Jack's memory, she remodelled the base and announced to all allies the new Cartel.
Kylie has since been seen less and less in the Isles of late, choosing to remain low profile, working with only a trusted few members of the group. She is currently retaking stock of her life and her commitments, yet remains tied to the Cartel, but her hope of resurrecting it is slowly fading...(more to come)
Friends
- Kaino: The first man she truly fell in love with and also fell into depression because of. For a long time, the clone had created a rift between the two, which wasn't entirely smoothed out upon the real Kylie's return. By this time it was quite apparent they had both moved on in life.
- Jack Fear: A man who Kylie respected very much, yet did not reciprocate the obvious feelings that he had towards her. She respected him as a leader and as a man, and still hopes to this day she may see him again.
- Threshold.:Lance and Kylie's friendship was one of extremes. Often times of extreme closeness, at time of extreme anger and bitterness. He was truly the only man she wanted to remain in a platonic friendship with, even though in her eyes he qualified for much more.
