Character Background

Jackie Carson was an assuming, model citizen until his mid 20's, when his dormant mutations began to manifest themselves. At first it was nothing... his skin merely took on an orangish hue, but after a few weeks Jackie noticed that his flesh was taking on a tougher consistancy and that he could apparently cut chops all day long at his job at the local Butcher Shop without breaking a sweat. Despite these minor changes, Jackie Carson wasn't really concerned: After all, many people developed mutations and still managed to lead a normal life. And so he went about his days, living his life as a normal resident of Paragon City.

Sadly, this was not to last. Over the course of several days, Jackie became more and more unstable at his job until eventually he lost control and severed the hand of the owner, Mr. Chuck, in what was reported as "an accident" to the local hospital. Jackie lost his job over the incident, but Mr. Chuck fared far worse: He was reported missing the next day and Jackie had vanished. It didn't take the police long to find Mr. Chuck however... a mysterious pile of pink meat was found for sale at the butcher shop the following morning, labeled "Ground Chuck:$ 2.00 a pound". It was later DNA matched to the owner.

Over the next few weeks, reports of missing people steadily flowed into the local PPD station. People were vanishing at an alarming rate, even for the ghetto known at Kings Row. And Jackie Carson, the only suspect in the brutal killing of Mr. Chuck was still nowhere to be found. The train of events countinued up until the following October, when things took a turn for the grotesque. During the month of October, the severed heads of the missing victims began appearing on the doorsteps of their homes, each gutted and carved like a Jack-O-Lantern and with a candle inside. The PPD swore they would find the one responsible for the acts, and luckily for them, they did on October 31, when they caught Jackie Carson placing the final head.

He was immediately shipped to Astoria Asylum, where he spent the next few years undergoing intensive psychiatric treatment. Unfortunately he managed to escape and is currently at large.
