Personality
Andrea is level-headed and analytical in her normal form. A science professional, she's observant, understanding, and yet a little reserved. In her feline form, as Jaguar Avatar, she can be more outgoing, but has a streak of solitude about her.
Powers And Abilities

Jaguar Avatar makes use of her feline form's incredible agility and instinctive fighting techniques as a part-time registered heroine. Being in the medical field, she's been able to have surgical-grade fighting claws made, and has created a costume and persona for herself as well, as Jaguar Avatar. Despite the deep well of feline aggression she can draw upon, she's very careful not to inflict lethal wounds on her opponents; something which would be impossible to reconcile with her medical oaths. Fortunately, her medical training and knowledge of anatomy and mutated physiology enables her to avoid any permanent wounding of opponents in her fights; a quick medical evacuation to the Ziggursky Inbound Prisoner Trauma Center being by far preferable. However, against machines, robots, and completely non-human or even humanoid foes, she lets loose with a feral abandon. |

History
Andrea was born in Minneapolis and showed aptitude very early. Excelling in school, she found a natural ability in biology and chemistry. She graduated from high school a year early, and immediately when into a local pre-med program at the University of St Thomas, in the close-by city of St Paul. She graduated with honors with a B.S. in Organic Chemistry, and continued on for her dual Masters in Biogenetics and Bioinformatics. Next, she took up an advanced program in Medicine with a parallel track in Genetics at Dellamarque Medical Research College in upstate New York. Graduating with her M.D., and Ph.D., she Interned at Phoenix Medical Center in Talos Island, Paragon City. Afterwords, with her certification in hand, she founded a startup company, Mirron Biosciences, specializing in sequencing and correcting life-threatening genetic malformations in unborn human mutants.
Her transformative accident occurred while processing a transgenic serum intended to correct a mutant condition which caused inability to control one's movements and induced extreme life-threatening lethargy. Her company used source genetic material from a number of animal species selected for their gene sequences correcting the specific chromosomal defects in human mutants, with an absolute, and FDA certified, minimum of cross-species genetic transference. A vial containing Jaguar-derived RNA transcription catalyst spilled through a tear in her barrier suit when a robotic actuator mis-executed a movement procedure, knocking over a table loaded with equipment, which collapsed onto her.
Once her ability to change her shape manifested, it was clear she couldn't stay in customer-contact or active research in the medical field. Taking early retirement by selling the intellectual property which had underwritten her company, and placing the company itself into limbo, she now lives modestly while researching her own condition and learning to live with an alternate form and personality.
Ordinary Life
Andrea does volunteer work at several local charities. Notably, she provides primary care for indigents and homeless at the Gruff Free Clinic and Shelter in Skyway City, and is an aid with the Talos Island Police Charities, where she assists families and close friends of PPD officers who've been injured or slain in the line of duty.
