A Brief History of the Changeling

The Beginning
Juno is a demon, a dragon, a vampire, an Arachnos operative, and even a human being. She is whatever she wants to be, copying the likeliness of those she sees. In fact, Juno isn't sure what she is. What she does know is that she grew up in the Americas and was relentlessly teased in school for her green hair and short stature.
The Change
However, all of that changed the exact second Juno turned seventeen. On that second, Juno's hair changed colors. Upon further concentration, she found that she could change the color to whatever she liked. After weeks of practice and study of colors, Juno found that she could change the colors of any part of her body. It was a neat trick, but ultimately served only to alienate her even more from her peers. Exactly six months after Juno's seventeenth birthday, she began to manifest powers of size change. At first Juno found this power to be complicated, vainly trying to shift into various people she had seen, only to immediately pop back to her small, neutral self. Juno simply couldn't control the power.
A Mysterious Present
One week later, a pair of goggles came in the mail, simply addressed to JUNO. Juno quickly grew attached to the goggles: they allowed her take pictures and store them for later, switch views from normal to thermal, and even zoom in on objects to an almost microscopic level. With these goggles, Juno became able to more intensely study the forms of others, making it immensely easier for her to successfully imitate them.
Abandonment
The moment Juno turned eighteen, she began to be able to read the thoughts of others and project her own thoughts to them. At the same time, her parents disowned her and sent her out on the streets. To this day Juno doesn't know why they abandoned her: they obviously loved her, even cried when they forced her to leave. Deep down, Juno truly believes she was abandoned because a freak like herself is simply incapable of being loved; a thought which even today causes her to think of herself as being worth nothing.
Today
Juno has since turned to the profession of bounty hunting, a practice which led to her innate talent with knives. After relentless practice, Juno can imitate practically everyone she sees to an almost perfect degree (although she tends to add her own little touch). Bubbly, talkative, short-tempered, and still a good bit insecure of herself, Juno can often be seen frequenting the D, snapping pictures of interesting people with her goggles in hopes of imitating them later.
Juno's telepathy has made her a deadly assassin, being able to pick up surface thoughts involuntarily and foresee actions fractions of a second in advance. In fact, some swear that she can see the future. She just says they're slow. However, Juno's telepathy has also caused her to be cynical towards humanity, having known the dark thoughts of others. A smidgen of hope still exists in her, and has caused her to just stop reading the thoughts of others. She figures that if she puts herself in a state of ignorance, the world won't seem so dark.
Powers and Weaknesses
Juno
- Shape Shifter Juno can shift her form to copy that of anyone she sees. However, she does not gain the physical advantages of that form. IE, when she shifts into a humanoid dragon, her wings do not function for flight and her scales are just as vulnerable as human skin.
- Telepathic Juno is an incredibly powerful telepath. However, due to aforementioned reasons, she will rarely, if ever, try to read or control some else's mind. Although she will not willingly read minds, Juno's telepathy is so powerful that she still involuntarily picks up surface thoughts, allowing her to foresee actions fractions of a second before they occur.
- Chameleon Changing her colors was one of the very first things Juno learned to do. As such, Juno has a mastery over the art, allowing her to blend into her surroundings much like a chameleon. (Although, to the observant eye, she can still be faintly seen.)
- Knife Proficiency Because of her trade, Juno is extremely proficient with knives, handling and throwing them with keen skill.
The Goggles
Juno is never seen without her red-tinted goggles. She has even been known to react extremely violently if her goggles are tampered with. And for good reason: her goggles are incredibly useful!
- Thermal Juno's goggles are capable of switching between normal and thermal vision modes.
- Photo Storage Juno's goggles are capable of taking pictures and storing them for later, allowing Juno to intensely review her subjects and make her transformations as accurate as possible. In fact, Juno is unable to radically change shape without them!
- Particle Generator While Juno is able to change the shape of her body, she is not able to change her clothes. Her goggles solve this problem by breaking her clothes into particles and reforming them to whatever shape she needs. (This occurs simultaneously with Juno's shape shifting)
