Plot

Juvie Defeating The Warlord

Juvie's work with the Zig Penitentiary's "Scared Meta-Straight Program" brings him in contact with a new group of kids. They are tough, vicious, and dedicated. Not even Momo the Brute can break their stoic expressions. The more Juvie interviews these kids, the more he admires them. Juvie starts to evaluate his own training and skills and realizes that he's been relying on his super-powers too much. Here are a bunch of normal street kids, banding together in brotherhood, relying on each other, training each other in order to survive the dangers that exist on the streets of Paragon. (Never mind that in the process they themselves have become on of those dangers.) He also brings his leadership abilities into question when he wishes he could galvanize The Artful Dodgers in the same way.

When Juvie tells Antonio Nash about these concerns, Nash returns with his own concerns that he'd heard that these "Warriors" were planing something big and that he wanted Juvie to investigate. Juvie takes the name "Telemachus" and begins to infiltrate The Warriors, posing as a new recruit, and allowing himself inducted into their "Boot Camp." After a few punishing weeks, Juvie gained enough trust to discover that one of their Warlords was going rogue by acquiring an ancient artifact in order to overthrow The Warrior's leader "Odysseus." Juvie managed to stop the The Warlord from gaining the object, and was ready to return to The Artful Dodgers, but Antonio Nash told Juvie that his presence within The Warriors was to valuable an asset to give up. So Juvie stayed undercover with The Warriors for a number of weeks, giving Antonio valuable information on their training and discipline techniques.

When Antonio heard that The Warriors began to belive that there was a mole in their ranks, he managed to pull Juvie out of danger by faking Juvie's arrest. Juvie's criminal records were changed to reflect this activity so no one would be suspicious and, if necessary, Juvie could be reinserted into The Warriors if needed.

Due to the covert aspect of this operation, Juvie was forbidden to speak about it with any of The Artful Dodgers. His standard Journal entries and dodgy answers to direct questions caused feelings of distrust and neglect among the rest of The Artful Dodgers .
