Personality
Kaly is the model of kindness in a time where it is few and far between. She is deeply in tune with her emotions and the emotions of those around her and can pick up on changes in moods much easier then most other people. Because of this innate gift, she is understanding to most that come to her.
She does not discriminate between Hero or Villain, and will help whoever will ask of it. Especially, if they are in some kind of emotional or physical pain.
Her Social skills are indeed lacking, but she does the best with what she has. Placed in any atmosphere outside of her work, she becomes quiet and timid, and may even start quoting formulas from her research. She loves her work, and loves to talk about anything that's not confidential or sensitive to any willing to hear about it.
Typical Hangouts
You'll most likely find her just about anywhere in the Rikti War Zone, usually near the research lab or the Infirmary. But you can find her occasionally in Pocket D or just about anywhere she's needed. I tend to RP her just getting off work, if she's in the D. And she'd be wearing her White trench coat, due to the fact that the Lab coats look lame.
Abilities
Kaly is pure Natural. She was born with these abilities that's she's learned how to manipulate over time. The following are her Abilities and how I RP them.
- Mind Reading - Yes, Kaly can read minds. She has some innate psychic powers that she can use, but they are limited. If you have any sort of mind barriers she wouldn't be able to penetrate them at all.
- Emotional Empathy - If Mind reading wasn't enough, she can also sense your emotions. If you are anywhere near her, she can feel your emotional pain or joy. She does this by not only facial expressions, but by the brainwaves your body gives of when your feeling emotions. She can also manipulate these brainwaves at times to do certain effects, such as make you feel happy or in combat, ie. Fortitude, Clear Mind and the Leadership Pool.
- Pain Empathy - The body gives of nerve reactions when you are in pain, and Kaly can pick up on these and sometimes feel the pain herself, if she is close enough friends with you. She can manipulate these nerve reactions and cause your pain to subside and be able to do things for longer without tiring out, ie. the entire Empathy power pool minus Fort and Clear Mind.
- Technopathy - She has the ability to manipulate technology around her. Not some much control it, but she can use her mind to explore the technology and possibly even fix it. This is partly how I RP her Electricity Powers. The rest actual Electrical powers she uses I explain by using the electric energy around her in the air, such as super charged static Electricity.
- Medical Degree - Kaly has graduated from the University of Founders Falls Medical Program Suda Cum Laude, or with honors. She Excels in caring for people, and knows how to do so without using her abilities.
Character History
Kaly's history is rather short and not very built upon, as she lived a rather normal life up until Med School. It wasn't until her Parents murder that she began to use her abilities to help and aid others.
Timeline:
- Born - Born Kalypstra Elizabeth Starre
- Age 4 - Her parents Phillipe and Maryanne Starre discover her abilities and begin to teach her basics on how to use them.
- Age 5 - Starts to go to public schools
- Age 5 - 18 - Not much happens in this time frame. She attends schools and receives High marks all throughout. As she graduates, she enrolls in University of Founders Falls Pre-Medical program.
- Age 18 - 21 - Kaly attends the Pre-Medical program and graduates entering into the Medical School at the University.
- Age 21 - 23 - Kaly attends Medical School in Founders Falls.
- Age 23 - Kaly comes home one holiday and finds her parents slaughtered. The Police found proof that the villainess Nerveia had killed them. Kaly, deeply saddened, buries her parents and vows to serve the people of Paragon City with her gifts, not just as a doctor, but as a Hero.
- Age 24 - 27 - Kaly continues to attend Medical School, but does some hero work on the side. As her name spreads around the City, she gains renown and recognition. At 27, she graduates from Medical school and gets an internship with the Scientists and Doctors in the Rikti War Zone.
- Age 28 (Current) - Kalypstra works now full time at the Rikti War Zone Facility, and part-time Hero medic.
Friends and Allies
Non-RP SG - Guardians of Paragon - Just about any and everyone that is in that SG is a good friend of mine some OOC, some IC.
She doesn't really have many outside my non rp and close RP friends.
History of the Character Through the Player
I actually started Kaly just for a picture for a character I started in a forum RP. Over time, though I gravitated to her and began to level her up. She became my second Fifty, and I love playing her.
Later, I took the name to Mabinogi and I still have a character called Kalypstra there.
