Kinetisurge is a mutant who is an member of The Resistance. After his family and friends were taken away from him, he never saw Praetoria the same again.

Not Much To Tell
Here is a young man who had a great life. One that many people could ask for. Supportive family, friends you could count on, the intelligence of someone who can be considered an over-achiever. However, all of that changed when he shared with his family and friends the things he had been hearing about that has to do with the Cole Administration. They all began to question his motives and his methods of keeping this utopia together.
Two nights later, their front door was forcibly opened by the Praetorian Police Department and they were assisted by The Seers. The Seers attempted to transport them to the Behavioral Adjustment Facility, though they didn't expect that they were somehow resistant to teleportation. His friends from next door came and attempted to fight them all off in an attempt to resist arrest.
Half an hour later, everything around him was destroyed. Most of who was involved in this riot are now dead. There was still one PPD Suppressor still alive. While he called for backup, Keith immediately killed him and ran off to the Underground. It would seem like The Resistance members knew what happened. Wanting payback against Emperor Cole, he almost immediately became a Resistance member.
Being a Resistance member, he trained himself in a number of different combative methods and learned to at least detect when psychics enter his mind.
His Ways
Keith grew up to be an intelligent, sociable, friendly, and a handsome young man. Within his friends, he was always the one to break the stereotype about blonds being dumb, klutzy, and airheaded.
This all changed once the PPD and The Seers took his friends and family away from him. He became more serious, secretive, and reserved. Anything involving the Loyalists, the Cole Administration, PPD, etc. are all met with a blank but cold stares and expressions. Anyone who is an obvious Loyalist and other strangers, he will never give them his real name. Some don't even get a name.
Some members of The Resistance receive this same treatment. Especially the Crusaders. They have given them different homonyms, but never the name he gave himself. Kinetisurge.
Being a member of The Resistance, he has trained himself in some sort of combat. Combined with his mutation on being able to channel kinetic energy, it helps him subdue his foes. His mutation also allows him to surge electricity in the approximate amount of 45 kiloamperes. In addition, others have trained him on how to detect mind scanning and probing in one's self. With efficiency, he is able to tell if one is entering or trying to enter his mind. Once he has identified who they are, he will make all possible attempts to break off the concentration of the source of the mind prober.
Identity Crises
Keith has gone under many different names due to this protective and secretive nature. And with different names normally comes different disguises. Or at least different appearances. In no way, shape, or form are any of these identities he has used are connected to his real name, and there are no official records of these tie back to his real civilian name of Keith Rathaway. The following are the names he currently uses:
- "Shock Strike" - This is the name that The Resistance members who are Crusaders know him under. There have been a number of Crusaders who have gotten on his bad side and well... you can guess what happened from there.
- Martin Gryffon - A pen name that he uses when he submits articles in the Praetoria Times. Unfortunately, many of his articles never make it in.
- Lance Preston - This name is used when he's dealing with Loyalist members, Loyalist matters, and other strangers. It is the same name that is on his Powers Division Identification Card. He also uses this name when he's in Studio 55 and in Pocket D. This is one of the names that he uses quite frequently.
- "Show Stopper" - A name that was actually given to him when he and three others in The Resistance covertly (and successfully) raided TPN in order to prevent a certain tape that a Loyalist submitted to go on the air that would have showed certain secrets about their operations.
- Samuel Donahue - This name is used for academic purposes. All educational institutions within Praetoria has this name.
- In the case of Primal Earth, identification and other legal documents do state his real name and birth date. He does, however, have identification on one Martin Gryffon.
