The Birth of a Warrioress

Abigail Talonfist was born October 31, 1379 on Er'rith, in the town of Ahimsa, on the continent of Brahmanticus. Her family was nobility, a long standing ruling lineage. She was the youngest of five siblings and the only female born in her generation. Her eldest brother Alex killed their parents when she was three months old and her Metoscuret'Tur (half dark elf) elder brother Janus surrendered himself and Abigail to Alex to protect her life. Janus raised her in captivity for ten years, training her in his assassin arts, as well as swordplay. At age ten, Abigail was taken by Janus when he escaped their brother and went into hiding with him for three years. Janus decided that Abigail, at thirteen years old, was old enough to care for herself and they went their separate ways. Shortly after this split, Abigail's mutant abilities surfaced. She found she could manipulate energy with her hands, turning her fists into deadly weapons.

Her lifestyle became nomadic, traveling from place to place and selling her skills as an assassin, keeping a low profile so her murderous eldest brother would not locate her. She continued this way for two years, until rumors of a powerful sage kept crossing her ears, intriguing her about magical ability. She tracked down the sage and paid him a visit, only to find that the sage, through magical means, had forewarning of her visit and thought she was coming to kill him. He engaged her in battle when she arrived, but the fighting stopped when her mutant ability showed. The sage thought it was magic but Abigail explained that she did not use spells or amulets to manipulate energy. The sage saw this as a great potential and offered her a deal. She would perform tasks and duties as he set forth and in return he would teach her magic. She became the sage's apprentice and stayed in this role for five years without interruption.

At age 20 Abigail was reunited with her Metadet'Eri Lythari (half-elven werewolf) elder brother Jynx Talonfist. She also met his best friend Gwydion Tigretooth, a vampire. She left her apprenticeship with the sage and traveled with Jynx and Gwydion, fighting in the battles between Jynx's legion and that of his twin brother Magnus. She fell in love with Gwydion and they were married when she was 23. A year after their marriage Abigail gave birth to a daughter, Miriam. When Miriam was two years old, Gwydion was killed in a skirmish against Magnus' legion. Gwydion chose to abide his honorable death in battle and not return to 'life', though he could have. Abigail left Jynx's legion to mourn Gwydion, returning to her hometown of Ahimsa. Once settled in at home, she needed something to occupy her time, so she started policing the region's magical activities. In 1405 she heard of a powerful relic that had fallen into the wrong hands. The relic, Cadenas D'Dimensitus or Dimensional Necklace, was in the possession of a mad mage named Malakhyte Onyxstaff. She left Miriam in the care of her brother Jynx and his family and set off to locate the mage and the relic.

She traveled to the coastal city of Tychismia and there met up with a party of adventurers, heading toward the Bhakti Mountains to look for treasure said to be hidden there. Abigail's path lay the same way so she joined the group and formed a bond with them. They reached the mountain and found that the mage that Abigail was hunting down was in fact in control of the mountain's magical defenses. He created much chaos, injury and death trying to keep the party from their goal. Abigail found him finally, with only one of her companions remaining. The mad mage Onyxstaff was not alone. He had an otherwordly being with him, the Envoy of Shadows. Onyxstaff killed her last remaining companion as Abigail was using her magic spells to try to fight the Envoy. Her spells were useless and in desperation she picked up her fallen comrade's sword as the Envoy deployed a portal to return to his own dimension. She threw herself at the Envoy, attacking with the sword, but the Envoy was also attacking her. They ended up stabbing each other, impaled on each other's blades. The Envoy fell into the portal he had opened, taking the dying Abigail with him. Her physical body disintegrated as she passed through to the other dimension, leaving her in a spectral state. Her trip through the portal took a year, during which she was offered a bargain by her pantheon. She would be able to retain her soul and remain in the physical realms, as long as she sought out her murderer and avenged her death. She accepted the bargain and was granted the ability to move from dimension to dimension, to search for her murderer.

She ended up on Triumph Dimension Earth in 1406, in the area that would eventually become Paragon City. She found a dead body to possess, a young female of a local native tribe. She spent 300 years molding and changing this body, entrenching her spirit in the flesh. She eventually managed to fully possess the body, making it appear to be alive and using it to move around and act like a living being. She managed to change the appearance of this body and make it look as she did when she was alive. That, however, did not occur, instead having an appearance of an undead version of herself. Almost another 300 years passed before she jumped dimensions again, following the trail of her murderer. Neither parallel dimensions held the true Envoy that had ended her life on Er'rith. She followed the trail to Virtue Dimension Earth.

A fulfilled revenge, but for whom?...

Settling down in the Virtue Dimension Earth, it took her another few years to finally pin point the exact location of the right Envoy of Shadows. The year was 2005, just a few days before before her six hundred and twenty sixth birthday, Abigail could not have received a better birthday present then what she had that very day. She was finally face to face with the Envoy of Shadows. The Envoy of course did not remember her as she claimed to be the person who took everything from her. Once Abigail unsheathed her sword, Matilda, the eyes of the Envoy would widen, almost seeing a ghost. He traced his hand over the very scar that was sealed on to him the day of their first meeting. Their eyes would lock on to one another with sheer hatred, sparking the battle that had been long awaited.

The both fought vigorously for a few minutes, making the Envoy realize how much powerful Abigail had become. A few moments later, more Circle of Thorn minions appeared to help the now exhausted Envoy. As Abigail stood in a stance, the Guides, and Mages began their attack. One by one they fell to an enraged warrioress. As the first batch was eliminated, another wave charged towards Abigail. This time Abigail's eyes never left the sight of the Envoy, dropping all Circle minions that stood in her way. The Envoy would realize that this would be the final gauntlet before his escort of death would reach him. The body of the last minion dropped, headless. The Eyes of the Envoy would look to Abigail who was holding the head of the fallen minion. Abigail's rage would subside, knowing that there would not be any more resistance between her and him. Abigail drops the head and stands still, arms to lowered. A smirk would appear on her face knowing that the posture she's showing is the ultimate insult to any opponent. This enraged the Envoy of Shadows into manipulating him in making the same mistake that ended his attacker's life. A final desperation move made by the Envoy ended in a final loud clash of steel. No scream was heard, all was silent. Outside there were a band of superpowered heroes awaiting to enter the cave to also hunt down the Envoy. As one of them was about to open the entrance, it opened itself. The expressions of eyes widening and mouths agape appeared on the faces of the young heroes as the sight of Abigail exiting the cave with battle torn armor, scars and burns to her body. A bloodied Matilda in one hand, and the severed head of the Envoy of Shadows in the other.

Abigail stood in front of the young heroes, looking eye to eye with the leader of the group. "Do not bother, all has been taken care of..." She said with an emotionless tone in her voice, handing the severed head of the Envoy to the leader. Not looking back, Abigail would fly away, leaving the disoriented heroes where they stood. The media caught wind to the news of the fallen monster and his killer. They tried every possible way to contact Abigail for an interview, but no such luck. With this "celebrity-like" attention, would also open the eyes of all villains of Paragon and the Isles alike. Up and coming heroes and veterans would move out the way of this archangel of justice. That was when Abigail first crossed paths with the Freedom Phalanx. Statesman did not approve of the actions of Abigail and would have the team watch out for her. Manticore was interviewed about his thoughts of the incident. He replied with, "For this Lady Talonfist to call herself a -hero- is slap in the face to all of us who put our lives on the line daily with our honor in tact. Lady Talonfist -has- no honor, and she is a vigilante and now a wanted fugitive of the law, don't bother resting Lady Talonfist, because we have a cell with your lovely accomidations waiting for you." With that said, that very day, Abigail no longer was considered a hero.

Powers / Abilities

Energy Manipulation / Blasts(Needs to be Revamped to current events)

Abigail in her homeworld is not just a Sorceress but she was also born a mutant. She is able to manipulate energy, able to use them as an extra battering ram for her fists that can seriously damage any object she concentrates her powers on in full force. Not only she mastered her manipulation, but she has learned how to combine both her mutant abilities with magical incantations. She can project Energy Blasts by simply wording a spell. She then learned all her incantations so well that she can now word her spells in her mind.

Broadsword / Regeneration Scrapper(Needs to be Revamped to current events)

While she inhabited the Victory Dimension, She carried a sword she conjured out of pure magical proportions. Matilda was named by the fallen comrade Abigail took it from in her fight with the Envoy of Shadows. Matilda, just like Lilac and Magnolia, The sword can change shape with a mere thought from Abi. Abi has also mastered the abilities of regeneration through combat due to her mastery of regeneration through molding her body for 300 years when she first came to the Earth Dimension and inhabited a dead body.

Dark Miasma / Necromancer(Needs to be Revamped to current events)

(OOC Note- Mastermind portion of her powers are RPed as her Necromancer/Sorceress half) Attuned to her Necromancy portion of her powers she consumes herself in darkness, keeping her under the cover of the shadows as well as in combat. With those same powers she is able to bring forth inner fear from her opponents making them halt in terror in battle. Some even say that her terror tactics are so strong even the most powerful have been known to be petrified of her. It is not known what Abi does to bring fear into her opponents but one question remains, would you stick around to find out? For those that aren't able to be scared easily, she can also blind them to death taking away any of the greatest warrior's precision attacks.

When also attuned to her dark arcana, she is able to summon the forces of the dead to do her every maniacal whim. It is said by some that although they continue to destroy Abi's undead children, they seem to continue to appear. For those telling that tale, were those that have fled battle. It is also said that she even has a general that commands her undead army, a Lich by the name of Montavian. The army is so strong that even the most powerful tanker or brute state that the strength of the zombies in combat is like nothing they've felt before.

Psionic Assault / Mind Control(Needs to be Revamped to current events)

As Abi mastered other forms of combat, not only her skill with weapons and spell casting had grown but her mutant abilities had evolved even after her death. She's now able to fight with her mind, able to levitate living and nonliving objects with a single thought, confusing and even channeling fear into her opposers minds rather then conjuring illusions of fear. Though her assault of the mind is bad, it is her mind control that is to be feared the most. As a tactician she knows that to take down an opponent is to weaken them from every weakness that the opposer thinks about even in a split second. She also manipulates others to join her for the remainder of the fight before disposing them. Though her physical confrontations leave a few of the strongest thinking twice about clashing with her again, with her using her tactical mind at work combined with her swordplay and magic casting make Abi one of the most feared entities known on both the Isles and Paragon alike.

Epic Powers(Needs to be Revamped to current events)

After Abigail defeated the Ghost Widow, she had learned powers from observing the ghost's dark mastery that she came up against in combat. Abi herlself learned of a spell similar to what the Ghost Widow conjured only in the form of her own dead victims she had dismantled during the course of time, she calls this spell "Verfallend Gespenster" translated, "Decaying Ghosts". It is said that Abi's tortured victims will come to her aid in draining the foes' life little by little, some even halt them from moving anywhere in a tentacle-like embrace as they continue to drain out the life of their victims. Abi herself even while having her miasma cover she can shroud herself into another plane of darkness for it to become a dampening shield for would-be direct attackers.

Incarnate Powers(Needs to be added in)

WiP

Flight(Needs to be Revamped to current events)

At her death, her body perished in the portal, leaving her in a spectral state. Once she took over a host, she concentrated her spectral flying ability onto her new body. Although she can fly as fast as the fastest fighter jet, she tends to tone it down since she knows she's likely to topple skyscrapers with her sonic boom.

Abilities(Needs to be Revamped to current events)

Her variety of visions aren't because of her mutant abilities nor magical sorcery, but it is an inherent due to her Metadet'Eri (Half-Elven) genes. She is able to have infra, ultra and dark visions for a good 120 yds. out 360 degrees. Due to her spectral form she is able to sense anyone with stealth and ghost-like abilities in a 10 yrd. radius. Once detected she is able to tell whether it is a threat or not. Since her death she is also able to communicate with the dead aswell as meditate into an astral plane to communicate with either her own gods or the gods of the different dimensions. On and off combat she has the ability to change from corporeal to incorporeal. Abigail is also a master strategist in all sorts of perilous situations, knowing strategic combat similar to warrior legions of the past from European Legions to those of the Oriental Legions. She also knows modern Armed Forces combat drills aswell. Along with her mastering her magical abilities with her own mutant ones, Abigail is an excellent sorceress, since she was tutored by a very powerful sage back in her homeworld. She has the ability to learn all spells and translate them from different dialects from ancient to modern. During her mastery her spectral state aswell as mutation abilities that resurfaced, she is able to not only communicate with other beings privately by mindlink, but for a small period of time she is able to read minds and auras aswell.

Personality and Alignment

Appearance(Needs to be Revamped to current events)

Abi's apperance in physique is a mixture between an Amazon, a Valkyrie, and an elf. Though her pale skin comes because of her death. Her body in a corpoeral state is of a just above average female but holds her 175 lbs. of musculature, 0% body fat again due to her death. In an incorporeal state however she is transparent and is light as a feather though she still has her corporeal features. She also tends to wear her bone armor attire seeing that suit has sort of a very disturbing but prideful sentimental value to her. She has duplicates made of her shoulder and chest skulls on other costumes she sports which those are mere impervium made thanks to Vanguard's engineers. Though her original armor is alot more powerful then her impervium counterparts seeing she's made it not only from her trophies she's acquired but she's had a very powerful sage embed magical barriers to them making it almost impossible to damage. Because of her warrior-like upbringing she has taken a fancy this era's form of pop culture and took a liking to body piercings even though she's seen this done centuries ago at her homeworld. Abi has currently 14 piercings, 5 on each ear, 4 on her body. Though she only shows her obvious ear and belly piercings she plans to add more in the future. She's even considered on getting ink done in the future. Abi also has a scent of two types of flowers. One of Lilacs, the other or Magnolias. Her voice is very melodic but strong toning. You could almost hear a faint synthetic and ghostly sound to it.

The Dormant Past Evil(Needs small revamping)

On a typical day of fighting the CoT, The Nocturnal Misfits almost lost Abigail due to a trap that was set by both CoT and The Council. Having to retreat due to an overwhelming and outnumbered fight, The Nocturnal Misfits took Abigail to her private sarcophagus near their HQ for her to replenish her life force. Little did they know that CoT and Council spies followed. An incantation that was supposed to vanish Abigail off of existence was interrupted by her teammates as the incantation only turned out a lot more worse than it should have. It awakened a dark being that was sealed away by her siblings back in her homeworld. CoT again became responsible for another catastrophe, the reawakening of what the being calls herself, the Baroness Abigail. Nocturnal Misfits in disbelief tried to bring Abi to a calm, but failed due to her outburst of chaotic rage almost killing most of the group as well as killing both CoT and Council spies in the process. Although countless of attempts to destroy Baroness ended up in almost killing Abigail herself. Abi would then leave the Nocturnal Misfits for a time to try and control the Baroness, but sometimes it is not successful for she continues to bring chaos from time to time.

The Baroness is a tortured soul that has existed for a millenium in Abigail's home world of Er'rith. She is a known spiritual parasite that needs not just a shell of a body, but the very soul of the host that it must possess. Baroness used to be one of the deities of Er'rith for a time before breaking the rule of a god or goddes to get involved physically with mortals. For a punishment of her crime, The Baroness was casted down to an existance of torture not just without her full goddess abilities, but was also exiled of ever reincarnating her own soul to another life. Throughout her exiled centuries The Baroness was able to accept what she was and that was where the mistake of the gods punishment was made. Now a formless entity, The Baroness has mastered the art of being a soul parasite making her more deadly than ever. Countless of souls came and went due to the wrecklessness of the hosts, but one in particular was the perfect candidate. She remembers of old legendary folklore even before her own time era that said if a child of royal blood of a very powerful royal dynasty was born on the full moon that the soul of the child would live for countless of centuries. This child's impact of existance would change history of not only Brahmanticus, but other dimensions aswell.

This child was Abigail Talonfist, born on the eve of the Talonfists' 50 year reign in the Falcon Eyed Falls. The people dubbed Abigail the "Moonchild of the Falcon". The Baroness took a great opportunity in possessing Abi's soul, embedding itself inside Abigail without her knowledge. After the Fall of the Talonfist Dynasty, Abigail, along with her half-drow brother Janus, would be under the captivity of her Elder and traitorious brother Alex Talonfist. At times local fortunte tellers that Abigail visited would not dare let Abigail through their doors due to the presence of the Baroness that was inside her. Baroness never made itself appear until one of her expeditions when Abigail casted a spell and misread an incantation and wound up awakening The Baroness. Though no one knew that the failure of the spell would spawn something very ancient and evil. Every moment that Abigail would sleep, the Baroness would take control over Abigail's body. Her full godlike strenght and potential came to her in the full moonlit nights. Abigail would get either imprisoned or banned from towns due to the Baroness' incidents. Abigail not having any memory of the happenings, she would notice something is wrong and later would visit the most powerful sage of her homeworld. The sage would notice the Baroness inside Abi and assembled a school of sages aswell as Abi's other siblings to seal the evil away. They could not tear The Baroness from Abi's soul since it would completely kill Abigail aswell.

Two weeks after her 27th birthday Abigail went on another expidition that would change her life forever. Not only her life ended at the hands of the Envoy of Shadows, due to an interdimensional trade between the CoT and a Mad Mage from her own world, but Abigail also would shift dimensions and land in a different dimension. The year she died was 1406 in her world, but a year later from the shift of worlds, she landed in Paragon City in 1407. Centuries passed as Abigail chose a new destiny other than trying to return home. Becoming a well known hero in the modern Paragon City, she was loved by all people and even made new friends and formed a group. It wasn't til one night where Abigail was badly wounded where again another history change took effect. CoT would be responsible for the reawakening of The Baroness this time. Since then Abigail would try not only to fight the villains of both Rogue Isles and Paragon City, but also her inner demon. Countless of astral plane battles took place where even the Baroness took the form of Abigail herself but would use Abi's Necromancy against her. It wasn't until recently the Baroness set aside her rage and turmoil as Abigail would be wronged by the very same gods that casted her down from the skies she used to rule alongside with. She finally revealed her true name, Li'Illannia. Recently they found a way to finally separate souls from one another. A ritual was done that had involved help from others to recover artifacts in order for it to go smooth. Now after the separation, Abi would finally have her own soul and body. The title "Baroness" however stays with her in the Isles thanks to Ms. Liberty. Everyone in the Isles knows the name Baroness Abigail, as the being who defeated both the patriarch heroes of Paragon City as well as spoiling the plans of Lord Recluse and his chosen four.

Brief OOC notes

Abigail Character Influences

The idea of the toon Abigail aswell as my old D&D character was influenced by a variety of famous fiction females that some of you may be familiar with. The first idea in the regards of her physical features was from Taarna, the Taarakian warrior off of the old 80's cult classic animation "Heavy Metal". Not as pale as Abi, but facial and overall body structure are there. The second was of Valeria, who was a famous rogue of the old famous fantasy film, also an awesome classic, Conan the Barbarian. Valeria's influence was mainly her valkerie like spirit and toughness, her wits as a rogue and her fighting style. Of course the last character influence is none other than Wonder Woman. Mainly because of her mannerisms and her compassion towards her peers, almost motherly.

Major or Guest Appearances

Abi was featured in "The City Scoop", September 14, 2007, Vol 1. Issue XVIII, featured in the "Encounters" column.[1] Take a look at the City Scoop Archives. Mind you though she at the time had her original white hair before the unnecassary generic of the costume(Won't go into details which i'm still upset over it to this day). I also was in Triumph server at the time when the interview took place. But yes tis the Abi. Lady Talonfist(scrapper Abi) has also been featured in City Info Tracker's Badge Spotlight on Dec. 26,2008. This award below was made back when I was in Triumph Server. Abi was a well known person by alot of people and a few friends of mine came up with this custom award for me.
