Character History

Timandra of Utopia was born two centuries ago on Utopia Island. The middle daughter to Utopias rulers, she spent many years learning proper etiquette and practicing her love for music and sculpting. She grew into a beautiful and intelligent woman, curious about the world beyond the veil of magic which hid their home.

Although Men did come to Utopia before, they were wicked Men seeking slaves and treasure. The Utopians fought them and drove them from their home; and it became necessary for the Utopians to also study the art of warfare as well. As a Princess, it was not required for Timandra to study swordplay, but she choose to anyway. After many years, she had become a skilled melee combatant, easlily able to defeat even the best Utopian solder.

Around 1939, the Utopians once again encounted their outsider cousines; when a lost German U-Boat, accidentally encountered the island. They attempted to establish a secret submarine base there, but once again the Utopians defended their home from these invaders.

Realizing that there was something more taking place in the outside world, Timandra asked her father to allow her to travel there to observe and see if the Utopians could help. Reluctant to send her, King Cepheus eventually allowed her to leave Utopia Island.

Timandra arrived in the United States of America, and was immediately taken aback by the sheer size of the world she had never seen before. She had also witnessed that there were some humans who possessed strange powers, and who used them to battle against crime. Decideding to help, Timandra fashioned herself a costume, and gave herself the sobriquet of Lady Utopia.

Word of her deeds eventually brought her to the attention of a team of chamions called the Guardians of the Golden Age, who offered her membership. She anxiously joined them, and together the Guardians would share in many adventures for the next fifteen years; when Timandra was recalled to her home by her father. King Cepheus had decided it would be best for now for the Utopians to remain hidden; and to observe the outside world.

Five years ago, when the Rikit invaded Earth, Utopias magical veil helped to hide their home even from these extradimentional invaders. However, the recent retuen of the Rikit has brough with them a deeper understanding of magic; and a means to pierce that veil. The Utopians managed to beat back the invading aliens, but they soone came to relaizes that their home would soon be discovered.

When King Cepheus called on volunteers to travel to Mans' world, it came as a surprise to no one that Timandra, would once again ask to go Mans' world. He allowed her to travel to the United States as his emissary; seeking to bring about a peaceful accord with the leaders of that country.

With the help of the US State Department, Timandra has been granted Diplomatic immunity, as well as a sponsorship through the Greek Embassy in Paragon City; where she is treated as a state visitor. Happily, Timandra also reconnected with her former allies and friends in the Guardians of the Golden Age, who continue to serve as champions of Paragon City.
