Madcap Mangler

Madcap Mangler is an extremely disturbing creature. "So let me get this straight. This guy shows up, surrounded by thugs. They are all armed with guns and he has two. It appears he can extrude poisons and whatnot from out of his mouth. He has been horribly torturing and killing anyone he comes across. Hold-ups at banks, jewerly shops and all those kind of places and leaves behind a bloodbath, corpses so shot up and beaten and tortured that it looks like they were mauled by a bear. He even appears to eat parts of many of his victums and your saying this psycho still hasn't given himself some kind of name or something like "Recluse" or "Bloodbath"! Guess it's up to us. Let's see... how about Madcap? What?! Its taken. Let me look at that list. Hm... okay... Madcap Mangler isn't taken. Use that for the front cover. Now get back to work!" -A Paragon Times Editor.

History
Madcap was originally a west coast villain. He would tend to go up against the hero Sin Stalker more than any other hero. Madcap has either from the start or grown over time an obession with the hero Sin Stalker aka Knight-Stalker. After Sin Stalker moved to Paragon City, Madcap began to reek havok along the east coast, mainly around Paragon City and more recently the Rogue Islands.
Characteristics
Communication Skills
Madcap is silent. While most would agree he does not communicate, at least through speech, he does appear to understand others. On certain occations Madcap has appeared to understand more languages and forms of communication than just english. This leads Sin Stalker to be one of the few who believe Madcap is a highly intellegant individual. Possibly a genius.
Eating Habits
His eating habits are strange to say the least. Most would say disgusting. Raw. Madcap enjoys human flesh although he has been seen digging his teeth into the side of a dead dog or other sort of animal when human is temporarily unavailable. He is seen all the time reaching into his coat to pull out severed human fingers and eyeballs which he keeps with him as snacks. He rarely pulls out a toe.
Enjoyably Painful
Madcap Enjoys Pain. The sensation of inflicting pain. He is not known for murder, rather his victums ultimatly die due to the injuries Madcap inflicts but he inflicts to cause great pain, not death. He still does appear to kill without remourse aswell though. Sin Stalker, his arch nemesis, believes Madcap not only enjoys inflicting pain but enjoys feeling pain as well.
Sinfull Obession
Madcap's obession with pain has lead him to target one hero more than any other, Sin Stalker. Sin Stalker has the ability or curse to sense the pain of others. He has a psychic ability to sense emotion where pain seems to be the dominant feeling cast out by the world. Mainly believe Madcap wishes he had the power Sin Stalker does.
The Manglers
Madcap Mangler has the ability of Poisons generated from his mouth and throat. These Poisons come in different forms from generic poisons to super poisons to acids. One of Madcap's poisons effects the mind and has addictive properties. Those that follow Madcap Mangler follow Madcap with blind obedience as they are extremely addicted to this "Mangler" drug. They have banded together calling themselves the Manglers.

Poisons, Acids & Drugs "oh my!"
Macap Mangler's most notible power is difficult to sum up but the closest title would be Poison. From out his mouth he sprays all different types of substances, not just poisons but acidic compounds and hallucinagins. His salava is filled to the brim with acids and bacteria.
One substance differs from all the rest and shows that Madcap has a very complex control of these compounds. Its nickname is Mangledine and its rumored to be 100x the strength of Meth. This would make it the most addictive substance known to man. It is with this that he brings in more of his "crew". So far no ill side effects are known besides slight paranoia and the deadly withdraw someone goes through without another fix. On the plus side it appears the user gains increased strength, speed, agility, muscle mass, and energy.
Other nicknames are; Mangler Juice, Mangle-aid & "Da Boss's stuff".
Strength
Madcap has "increased strength" but it does not compare to your average hero or villain with "super strength". The rest of Madcap's gang also have increased strength but nowhere near the degree Madcap has himself.
Gear
Madcap and the Manglers all carry a large arsenal of handguns from pistols to automatics and semi-automatics. The Manglers are ready for trouble at a moments notice.
Madcap himself always has at least two semi-automatic weapons on him at all times.
Suspected Powers
These powers are suspected, mainly by Madcap's archnemesis Sin Stalker, but there is yet no evidence to back up these claims.
- It should be noted that Sin Stalker is extremely paranoid and mentally unwell.
Regeneration
While there is no evidence to this matter, Sin Stalker believes Madcap to have regeneration as there have been several times where Madcap has appeared to have died and yet he always manages to come back.
Altered or Added Senses
Sin Stalker suspects that Madcap has increased or added senses that allow Madcap to see in the dark. He also suspects Madcap to have an increased sense of smell and hearing.
Creator Note
The following is out of RP, please read if you wish to know more about Madcap Mangler.
I created Madcap Mangler over a very long process. I didnt want to make just ANOTHER anti-hero. I wanted a comic book villain and not only that, I wanted an arch nemesis that would live up to my heroes as I am very proud of my hero aswell. Madcap in my mind needed to live up to some of the greats, the Joker, Lex Luthor, the Green Goblin, and heck... as long as he turns out to be up to par with the Riddler I'd be happy.
Another thing, I didn't want to make another Doomsday or Darkseid. He didnt have to be all about world domination or hell or any of those things. Especialy since Sin Stalker has no "active" super powers to find crime with.
I had a vision in my head. A creepy face, and a face looking straight at me and tilting to the side. I went through the entire costume creator setup to find a face Id find "creepy". Only thing I could find was that mask. Continueing with the face I created a basic look that would change from what you see now, but the head always stayed the same, in my eyes it was my arch nemesis.
The Creation of Madcap Mangler
I stopped there for weeks figuring out the personality. I wanted something personlity wise that made him a Lex or a Joker. I finaly focused on one of them... the Joker.
What made the Joker so great? Why did I think of him as the ultimate villain?
I realized its because for the longest time, he didnt have an origin. He was a psycho. Thats it. He just WAS. Wasnt until later when stuff like Hush Returns came out where they showed his origin. In those comics he didnt act the same. He looked and did SOME of the same stuff but there was something missing to me. He was no longer a mystery.
It was a start. I rushed back to the character creator screen and made sure Madcap didnt have a single piece of skin showing. I felt that would keep a sense of mystery about him. I hope it does...
Another Vision
I saw again, this villain not just killing his victims but torturing. I had that from the beginning but this time I had to create a reason why. He cant just be torturous for no real reason. Even if he likes it, there has to be a reason WHY he likes it. I then imagined Madcap taking fresh blood and writing words and messages along the wall.
I thought I had it all planned out. He was this person (for reasons) that enjoys inflicting pain and is crazy. Only problem right then was I didnt have a name. I had no clue. Original the thought of blood on the walls reminded me of the word Redrum. Murder backwards for those of you who dont know. But in game the majority of people I met didnt get it?! I mean... waaa?
In regard to this I changed him again. First the name Murder but then... taken ><
A friend mentioned the word Madcap and I looked it up. Went on for a month before I came back to that one. I spent another week out of game figuring out another word to put with it, since "Madcap" on its own was taken.
I stumbled apon Mangler and there it was. I slept on it for another few days and then was too tired. I gave up and just left it at Madcap Mangler.
There it was, Madcap Mangler, my arch nemesis. He was set and I was done. He was up to the standards (in my eyes) of a top true criminal... or so I thought.
Final Evolution
He had the look. He had the weapons but honestly, in a "City" full of villains, how was that special?
I was upset and unhappy with my creation. I spent hours in game trying to figure out where I went wrong. Months of planning and he was.... lame to me.
I was hanging out with my friend trying to RP with Madcap. I tried talking like him and I couldnt do it. Everything i said sounded lame. I kept wanting to laugh like the Joker and let Madcap just become a Joker Knockoff. I was sooooo close to letting myself do that until I remember my original vision. Creepy face, tilting as it just watches me.
THAT WAS IT! He didnt match up. I had to keep true to what he was at his core and that was it honestly. I stopped talking completely when on Madcap Mangler and he began to grow as a character. It was wonderful but it still wasnt complete. There was one thing left and it happened all on its own. I didnt think, I acted. Or I should say, Madcap happened...
The Other, Other White Meat
I stood over some guys we took down. I looked down and there was nothing. Torture up until you die is a horrible way to go but thats ALL about the person being tortured. If my character's only job exists while his victim is alive then how does he truely matter? How is he great? Wouldnt it mean the person being tortured(my hero or someone else) was the thing that mattered?
All these new questions entered me in that very second and what happened next, was instinct.
I had Madcap bend down and begin breaking off body parts of the guys we just took down. Breaking off fingers and eating eyeballs.
At that moment Madcap Mangler was born. The rest, well... it came naturally and on its own after that.
Madcap Mangler freaks me the heck out! Me and my friend are pretty creeped out by Madcap and I hope you all are too when you see him in Pocket D or whereever. I realy tried.
If not, I am more then happy to hear your throughts about how to make him better. Although please try and not comment on him until you see him in action. Thats all I ask and if you think Madcap is crappy then I am sorry I failed you. Ill try better next time :) .
Comic Book
Madcap Mangler has so far had two appearences in the Justice-Knights comic book series. In issue 1 and issue 3.
