Personalityi.jpg

Manfall is a Grim, cruel and arrogant man, but he has all right to be. If you lived as long as him you would probably end up quite similar, he has seen wars and battles since he was born and has learned many dark secrets through mystical means, He speaks in a slick but dark voice that instills fear, he thinks extremely low of others, more so young people than others. He sees few others as his equal, but to those that he do respect he can be a very generous man, respectful and polite.

- In a way you could say he's a mix of three very different personalities, Revolver Ocelot, Doctor Doom and Darkseid.

Character History.jpg

Manfall.

The being would come to be known as Manfall was born in 763 BC in the ancient city of Babylon during the Assyrian rule. His birth coincided with a solar eclipse, which is considered coincidence by those who have mused that his powers of immortality, strength and invulnerability drawn from the negative emotions of others are of mutant origin. Some however have considered that his powers were bestowed upon him by some kind of alien higher power or greater being not of this world. These claims have never been substantiated, and most believe Manfall to be a mutant.

Mahkmed Kalfat didn’t stay in the Assyrian Empire for long, however. His parents were both vagrants and thieves, and had been sentenced to death before escaping the authorities. They struck out across Asia, and after falling in with a nomadic civilisation ended up in Egypt in around 755 BC. Mahkmed’s parents found themselves no longer able to care for their son, and left him in the care of an Egyptian family. They left Egypt and he never heard from them again, instead being raised as an Egyptian warrior by his foster parents.

Mahkmed was raised to be one of Egypt’s proudest warriors. As he grew older, it became apparent to all those around him that he was incapable of death; in 700 BC, Mahkmed still looked exactly the same as he had in 733 BC, when he was only thirty years of age. It was around this time that he began to be worshipped by the Egyptian soldiers in particular as being sent from the Gods, a proud warrior who would never age and could never be killed. It was around this time that, ironically, the Assyrian Empire was beginning plans for war with Egypt, and by 671 BC, Mahkmed was waging war against his people without his knowledge. As far as he knew he was Egyptian Champion, having long outlasted his parents, the only humans on earth who could have enlightened him as to his true origins. He fought against the Assyrians until their retreat.

However, in 525 BC, Mahkmed finally faced a challenge that both he and Egypt could not face down. They were invaded and conquered by Persia. After Egypt’s fall to the Persian Empire, Mahkmed Kalfat left Egypt and began to tour the world. With his homeland in the hands of foreigners and his own people too weak to mount a revolt that could overthrow them, he became severely disillusioned. He had seen his first civilisation fall; the first of many, and he was beginning to learn that he could count on no civilisation or institution. He was immortal, he was above them, and he would outlast them all.

It was around this time that Mahkmed came to the conclusion that if he was able to outlast a civilisation he pledged to fight to the death for, he could outlast any civilisation that sought to push any kind of consequence on to him for his actions. He became a thief and a criminal, and found his vast strength and invulnerability became even more potent when he surrounded himself with angry, lost individuals who were full of rage, hate and suffering. For five hundred years he kept the company of murderers, thieves and vagrants who fuelled his power. He finally realised that his powers worked by feeding on negative emotion, and sought to surround himself with people that would only boost his vast might.

Mahkmed renamed himself to Manfall at around the same time that the Roman Empire, the greatest civilisation that had ever existed, fell. The world spiralled into recession, conditions plunged and people the world over began to suffer. With the suffering of the world, Manfall’s powers grew. With his new found power and the knowledge that he had outlived Rome, Manfall became egotistical and a megalomaniac, and began to think of himself as a superior being to the rest of humanity, and he renamed himself to reflect this. With his new found power he decided to seek out new found status. With the world, especially what had been the Roman Empire, in complete disarray and riddled with barbarians and mercenaries, Manfall took his chance. He seized a huge province in southern Europe and enslaved its people; and so was born the country of Gorgon.

Manfall ruled Gorgon with an iron fist for over a thousand years, making sure that the country’s people were miserable, suffering and more importantly, trapped within its borders. He used a hugely powerful military force to keep the country’s people in line, and once or twice pushed his borders, conquering small provinces to the east and west. He maintained his position as an indestructible dictator for thousands of years before he became bored. He called up all of the able men in his country into a military force with which be planned to conquer the globe.

Gorgon’s forces were almost strong enough, and spread far into Europe and into Africa and Asia before they were defeated. The united armies of the world pushed Manfall’s armies back to Gorgon, and eventually invaded it in the dead of night. A group of knights broke into Manfall’s palace in 1255 with warlocks and magicians at their side; they sealed the immortal dictator in a magically locked coffin, where he was put into statis for almost seven hundred years.

Manfall’s coffin was forgotten, and was eventually buried somewhere in eastern Italy, where it was dug up by a team of American archaeologists in 1929. The coffin was shipped to America where it was stored in a museum until the Wall Street Crash on October 29th, 1929. Only weeks later the servants of Baron Zoria, otherwise known as The Circle of Thorns, broke into the museum and attempted to liberate the coffin of Mahkmed Kalfat, the infamous iron-fisted dictator of Gorgon. They knew his power stemmed from negative emotion and suffering, and what better time to resurrect him as their pawn than during the Great Depression?

The Circle were foiled by Dr. Volcaros, a hero at the time who was himself fuelled by an ancient African relic. Nevertheless, he was too late and Manfall was called forth from his tomb. He awoke and battled Dr. Volcaros before disappearing underground.

The next few decades saw Manfall determined to cause wide spread suffering and depression; he desperately desired to make himself powerful enough to push for another attempt at domination. He found himself constantly foiled by superhumans, however, and his until this day been thwarted in his every attempt at gaining power and domination. He almost succeeded during the Rikti War, when he became extremely powerful due to widespread pain and suffering, but was defeated by the Defenders of Paragon at the last moment.

Recently, Manfall has moved to The Rogue Isles, a dictatorship in which many are miserable and suffering. Just being close to these kinds of negative emotions has made him more powerful, and he gains power by the day. He hopes to become as powerful as he was during the days when he ruled Gorgon, so that he might push his influence across the globe. Only one question remains to be answered for him; what will come first, the undisputed reign of Manfall, or the inevitable fall of man? (Thanks to Charon for writing this, im not good enough to write backstories to be honest.)

Immortality: Manfall is immortal, or at least amazingly longlived he has lived since civilization started unfolding and has seen most of history.

FortunataTeamwork AuraOfConfusion.pngEmotion Absorbation: Manfall absorbs negative emotions which somehow boosts his physical properties tremendously, most noticable his strength and durability.

WidowTeamwork Elude.pngSuper strength: Manfall's strength is boosted by negative emotions, he has been recorded lifting a battleship and throwing it out of sight.

Teamwork TacticalTrainingManeuvers.pngInvunerability: Manfall's durability is boosted the same way that his strength is boosted. Surviving the Hiroshima bombing and only being slowed down for a couple of seconds is a testament to this.

Illusion Decieve.pngHeightened Senses: Manfall's senses are also superior to humans. He can hear a rat swimming in the sewers while standing in the rush traffic in the middle of New York, he can smell a enemy approaching him from behind from several meters away.

- His powers were very much based on Superman and Black Adam's strenght, invunerability and their ability to fight and thrive in space. Im a big fan of Silver Surfer and the space bunch and i like how devastating their battles can be. Also Manfalls magic use is based of Doctor Dooms magical background, he uses a very advanced powersuit but can still pull of amazing tricks and spells of magic to suprise his opponents. Just like Manfall would fight like a savage in brutish combat, and suddenly conjure a ensnaring spell when called for. The fear absorbing was based of Superman Primes energy absorbing, making him stronger closer to a yellow sun.

Abilities.jpg

Manfall is a dangerous manipulator, an expert in ancient destruction and warfare, a decent swordsman and a decent fighter having trained for centuries, even though hes ancient he would fight with agility in the air almost unpararelled, suddenly spinning backwards with a kick. Combined with his incredible strength, his fighting prowess does tremendous damage. He actually has great skill in the use of magic, but he rarely uses it in combat.

Enemies.jpg

Triviay.jpg

-Influenced by Apocalypse, Black Adam, Proteus, Vandal Savage, Zod, Diablo, Exodus, Superman Prime, Doctor Doom and Dracula.

-His first appearence was a big jail guy with untamable strenght, lots of tattoos and no will at all. He was the guy who could rip your city in two but doesnt know how to hold a donut right.

-If the Costume Creator was perfect, he would have a steel mantle/collar around his neck.

-The reason theres almost no records of Gorgon is because Manfall used his vast mystical knowledge to aquire The Ruby of the Blacklands, he used this to amplify his already considerable magical prowess to nearly incalculable levels. He then traveled to the Blackland dimension and made a exact replicate of Gorgon only it was desolate of life, Manfall then remade it into a vast black tower which also serves as a mystical energy reciever, the Blackland dimension is filled with magical energy and he has gained vast powers through this method. This also serves as his home and headquarters, he has summoned demons and mindless beings from the dark depths of space to help him maintain The Gorgonar as he calls it, but also to serve as guards and soldiers.

-The Demons and Mindless beings occupying Manfalls tower appears as violently warped and twisted semi-humanoid beings, grotesque faces and spikes cover their bodies, claws and teeth sharpened to blades, eyes glowing in all kinds of depressive colors. The demons are the primary servants, most of them being small harmless annoyances who fearfully follow orders though some larger more threathening demons serve as guards. The mindless beings are normaly much more dangerous than most of the demons, and therefore serve as excellent loyal soldiers and guards. These beings follow manfalls orders without possibilty to do anything else, they are however much larger and tougher than most of the demons and cause massive destruction in numbers. (Imagine having twelve gorillas made of titanium jumping around punching and screaming at you and your stuff at home)

-The Blackland dimension is actually an exact copy of earth(and moon) and yet totally different, The water and sky are crimson in color, and the sky has never change hue. The grass, earth, dirt, trees, mountains and land are jetblack and seem to be sluggishly but constantly changing appearance. Common sights all over the Blackland planet are floating debris and rocks. There are signs of an ancient extinct civilization around but not even Manfall has anything more than minor knowledge about their existence and lifestyle. He has shown interest in looking into it however, but has put it on hold because of sudden complications in the Rogue Isles.

This is nowhere close to to done, check back soon :D
