MindPersonality.png

Cheery, bubbly, happy-go-lucky and maybe even a little bit naïve, Mind’s Eye never fails to bring the fun into the room. She’ll crack a joke as good as the rest of them, and take one like a champ, and very little in general seems to phase the young psychic. Raised in a reasonably normal household as the only child, she had a fairly normal upbringing, and is, in general, a pretty happy person.

She is nothing if not dedicated. Mind is always there to pull you out of a slump or into a good bout of bar hopping, and the girl is loyal almost to a fault, especially in regards to those closest to her. Some might think she’s crazy for it, but if you’re in with her, you’re in and it’s nearly impossible to get kicked out. That said, the girl has a wide circle of friends, and never hesitates to talk to a stranger if they seem approachable. However, party girl though she may be, sleep around she does not. Ignore the tiny costume boys, this one’s not a whore.

Still, even the trippy, cheerful psychic is not without her insecurities or fears. What most frightens Mind is what most frightens any psychic, that in using her powers to their fullest she will somehow damage someone’s mind, or even her own. Because of this, the girl is hesitant to exercise the full extent of her telepathic abilities, and when pressed, will downright refuse to use them at all.

History.png

Lily’s powers were discovered at the tender age of four, in the midst of a temper tantrum on the kitchen floor. When glasses and plates started flying across the room, Rose and Viktor Jamison knew their child had a gift. To hone and cultivate that gift, they sent her to the Tolley Academy for the Psychically Gifted, where she learned to control and refine her telekinetic abilities, though her teachers eventually gave up on trying to teach her more advanced telepathy.

It wasn’t until she was fifteen and the Rikti War hit that the girl discovered exactly where that gift came from. By sheer chance the young psychic caught her parents coming home late one night, both of them in masks and costumes that she recognized all too well. Spectral Voice and Psychic Force, the most famous graduates of the very school she was attending, both having come out of retirement to serve with Vanguard in the beginning of the war.

Their secret was out, but it wasn’t until nearly three years later that Lillias decided to follow in their footsteps, taking on the identity of Mind’s Eye, and stepping out into the public view. Neither of her parents approved. And so, disassociating herself from the once-again-retired duo, the young hero set out on her own. She moved out, got an apartment, and set to work full-time as a hero, with a part time job or two on the side to make ends meet.

Two years later, she wound up with the Jadewire, where she met a few longstanding friends and her biggest heartbreak, the mercenary known commonly as Jaded Wyvern. She has remained with them ever since, and these days, Lily continues work as one of Paragon's brightest stars.

The Jadewire.png

A longstanding member within the organization, Mind's Eye is the (largely self-proclaimed) Jadewire's darling. Her loyalty to the group is without question, and though she holds little authority, the telekinetic has become something of a staple over the years. At the rank of Wireman, just two steps below the Captains themselves, the platform-wearing heroine is at the very least a respected veteran.

Mind's Eye by Pirate Cashoo!

Jason: A complicated relationship at best, Jason and Mind were together for nearly two years before his refusal to give up the unpredictable life of a mercenary finally drove them apart. Even now, Lily worries for him, aware of emotional damage that he refuses to acknowledge and scars that refuse to heal. His location is currently unknown, and despite herself, the woman who once considered him the love of her life fears that the worst has come to pass.

Akihiko Osaragi: Best friend and closest buddy, Takeshi is Mind’s typical partner in cri--er, heroism. They joke around, hang out, and make constant cracks at each other, but when it comes to fighting they’re back to back. She’s also been known to hook him up with girls in the past, showing something of a mischievous match-making streak. However, due to his recent engagement with fellow psychic Nevaeh Vega, the pair have been spending less and less time together, leaving Mind with feelings of resentment, and even a bit of unfounded jealousy. Still, she is thrilled for her friend's happiness and wishes him the best.

Elizabeth Forsythe: A mentor and superior officer, Liz has made it a point to reach out to Mind in order to help her use her psychic gifts, as well as shielding her mind from others who would seek to abuse them. The young telekinetic has, reluctantly, agreed to let Elizabeth teach her, though she is still not altogether sure about the process in general.

Hiryu Kushinada: A friend and Captain. The two have had their differences over days gone by, but somehow they always manage to work it out and remain friends. Mind respects him as a leader and superior officer, and will almost always follow where he goes with cheer and enthusiasm.

Asoa: Asoa is probably one of Mind's closest friends. Always quick to buy her a drink or lend an ear when she needs it, the Jadewire's Intelligence officer is always good for a laugh and fun to be around. The pair of them can often be found goofing around in Pocket D, or in the base.

013.png Telekinesis

Mind’s Eye is capable of advanced telekinesis, capable of moving herself and others, as well as objects up to something around the size of a standard SUV. She is also capable of covering multiple targets with telekinetic shields, though this severely weakens her attack power and ability to fight. The more targets present, the weaker her attacks will be.
More recently, she has worked to improve her telekinesis, refining her technique to compliment her improved martial skill. Gathering telekinetic energy around her fists, the psychic is capable of delivering blows that mimic superhuman strength.

MentalControl Confuse.png Telepathy

Mind is competent with minor feats of telepathy, such as picking up unshielded surface thoughts and speaking to another via mental communication. There is potential there for more, but the woman is reluctant to tap into it, feeling uneasy about digging into another’s mind as a means to get an advantage or as an invasion of privacy. The potential for causing damage to herself or others is a frightening thought, and a heavy deterrent.

MentalControl Confuse.png Foresight

In addition to her telepathy and telekinesis, Mind's Eye has limited foresight, able to predict bits and pieces of the near future. This is mostly used to give her an advantage in combat, allowing Mind to avoid blows that might otherwise do considerable damage. This ability has only emerged recently, and whether or not it will grow stronger remains to be seen.
