History
Nithael has never been one of the major powers among the heavenly host. A throne of the third sphere, it found contentment in its duties; guarding children born within its time frame and guiding them through life. When the war in heaven began it barely took notice, instead thrilling over the successes and wonders those humans under its care encountered. With every success there must be failure, and as many of Nithael's charges took darker paths as did those who walked the light. Noting this even balance, knowing that Heaven must receive the greater share of souls, Nithael formed a plan to help tip the scales in good's favor.
It did not take long before Nithael found the right child. Born to two loving parents, destined for a life in suburbia and already blessed with the mutant gene that was humanity's next step in evolution, he seemed perfect. When the child was born Nithael took his soul and held it high, making it known that this boy would be God's will on earth. Nithael kissed him, imparting him with its power, and set the soul in the squalling baby body. In time, with an angel to guide him, he would become a hero of great power and help to save those innocents who would otherwise be corrupted.
Alas, it has always been the downfall of celestial powers to underestimate humanity and their greatest gift - free will. The plan became a disaster as outside influences and accidents beyond his control led the boy down a darker path than any charge under Nithael before. Like one of Fate's cruel jokes, he became destructive, fleeing to the Rogue Islands to live among others who would not judge or condemn him.
It became all Nithael could do to keep the boy alive and semi-healthy. Unable to interfere to the extent the Infernals enjoyed, it watched its project child become corrupted himself and fall a downward spiral toward damnation. With all its hopes caught up in this faulty plan, Nithael began to change itself, losing faith in minor increments with every bit of pain and suffering the boy underwent. Finally, the inevitable occurred. The child, now a young man of considerable power and darkness, cried out silently as he became convinced of his own damnation. Foregoing any hope of salvation, the silent scream was a catalyst. The sound of it ripped Nithael from the host and plunged it toward Earth where it took up an image acceptable to its charge.
Personality
Nithael has little to no personality as of yet. The shock of falling to Earth has wiped nearly all heavenly powers away and left it weak and frail. It follows Brian like a puppy, content only in its assurance that, for the moment, he is in no immediate danger. Nithael tends to answer questions regardless of whether they are hypothetical, or the answer is something most people would not admit to. It has vast knowledge of the universe and no practical experience with which to apply it. As one of the 'worker bees' of Heaven, Nithael is used to thousands of years of servitude. When given an order by Brian or someone it considers important, it will most times obey without question and in a very literal sense.

Origin
Powers
Nithael's powers have been narrowed by its fall to Earth. It still retains its ability to communicate with the energy in the universe, including the thought patterns in the minds of other creatures. In addition, its guardian sign was one of fire, and Nithael can wield and shape flame into many forms.
Roleplay Notes
-Nithael may appear female but it is still very much a neuter
-Nithael is tainted by its failure and its prolonged presence in the Rogue Isles.
-Right and wrong have very different meanings in the celestial plane, and Nithael may not always react as expected to certain things
-As a fallen, Nithael is more neutral now than good. Its path is open, and any encounter may lead the angel in a new direction.
