Linda in more casual wear

Linda is a human woman standing a bit below average height. She has emerald-green eyes and brown hair usually kept under an officer's cap. She is typically seen in a standard PPD uniform: a white button-up with a badge pinned above one of the pockets, the previously-mentioned cap, a pair of sunglasses, blue pants, and black work boots. Her belt holds a pouch for her radio, a nightstick, her various gadgets, and holsters for her sleek black S&W Model 29 pistols. At times, she is accompanied by a German Shepherd by the name of Bandit.

When not in uniform, Linda's most commonly-seen attire is a white dress shirt with a black tie, a red jacket, black pinstriped pants, and black high heels.

Personality

Linda is very much a career woman. She takes her job as a police officer very seriously, and anybody who commits a crime under her watch is bound to face the consequences. While the idea of climbing the ranks is somewhat appealing, it is not Linda's primary focus. Instead, she wants to do whatever she can to keep the streets of Paragon safe, regardless of her rank.

Born with a strong sense of justice, Linda is determined to do whatever it takes to bring down "the blunt end of the law" on villains. Unfortunately, that sense of justice has a tendency to be too strong at times, causing Linda to use more extreme methods to bring a villain down. However, she refuses to bend the law to catch a villain unless absolutely necessary.

Outside of her work, Linda is a rather serious individual who maintains her professionalism around others. She rarely displays extremities in emotion and often appears cold and distant as a result. However, Linda is a very protective individual and can be surprisingly caring toward the people she is close to.

History

Linda's mother was known as the hero "Sonic Shot" during the 70's and 80's. She had the mutant ability to control sound waves as well as two S&W Model 29 pistols, which she used to combat the growing crime wave in Paragon City. She eventually began dating a police officer by the name of Henry Lorell. The two married in 1983, and on August 29th, 1984, they celebrated the birth of their first daughter.

Growing up, Linda was taught that justice was one of the most important virtues anyone could have, especially in an age where gangs were become more and more common. She aspired to become a hero just like her mother, but when she realized that she didn't have any special abilities, she decided to become a police officer instead. After the devastating Rikti War passed, she joined the PPD, hoping to make a difference in post-war Paragon City.

Unfortunately, Linda was faced with long hours and multiple pay cuts. It wasn't until 2005 that the PPD began to reform, allowing Linda to finally work more normal hours and bring home a decent paycheck. Despite these hardships, she continued to work to improve the lives of civilians in Paragon City by protecting them from villains who sought to harm them. In 2010, she became a reserve member of PPD's SWAT team. In 2012, she was finally promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

With the supervillains become more powerful, Linda's methods of dealing with them have become more extreme. In order to stay within the law, she never attacks unless provoked. When provoked, however, she will use any amount of force necessary to make sure a villain is taken down.
