Personality
Operative Johanson is a dedicated member of Arachnos and successful result of the Arachnos training program. Completely loyal to Arachnos and Lord Recluse, he has risked his life on several occasions and supports the soldiers of Arachnos with his abilities to extend their usefulness to Lord Recluse. No hesitation is shown in using extreme force on the enemies of Arachnos when necessary.
Operative Johanson has some heroic tendencies which have shown themselves to be points of concern in the past. Acts of selfless behaviour, honesty, (to the point of fault) and occasional generosity he has been placed on a watch list by Arachnos administration.
A number of instances have been recorded where this operative has placed themselves in danger in order to protect other Arachnos soldiers nearby. While a generally desirable trait, this, along with other actions have caused him to come to our attention.
Operative Johanson also enjoys long walks and bird watching.
Character History
What is known is that during the 11 years between his parents' death and his recruitment by Arachnos, Georg Johanson lived on the streets of Cap au Diable, eventually making his way to Mercy Island and falling in with one of the many street gangs of that time. The gang, a little known group that called themselves the 'Hand of Shadows', had grandiose opinions of themselves but frequently found themselves on the run from more powerful gangs of Mercy Island such as the Skulls and Hellions, and a favored target of the Rogue Isles Police.
In the summer of 1998, Georg Johanson began showing signs of magical ability which rapidly developed, specifically powers similar to those of Dark Blast and Thermal Radiation.
These abilities were later identified as magical in nature, rather than a mutation from contaminated water as was initially suspected.
With Georg's abilities on their side, the Hand of Shadows gang met with far more success than they were typically used to, especially against the Hellions where Georg's shielding gave them an edge they did not previously have. Two weeks after Georg Johanson left the Hand of Shadows to enlist with Arachnos, a retaliatory strike by the Hellions is believed to have eliminated all members of the gang.
Operative Johanson inherited his powers from his parents, Jerk Johansson and Kerstin Bengtsdotter, who were members of the Legacy Chain up until their death during a mission to Sharkhead Island.
Jerk Johansson was an Inferno of Flame and Kerstin Bengtsdotter, a Memento of Soul.
The Legacy of Soul are a lesser-known branch of the Legacy Chain that harness the power of the Netherworld to enhance their abilities and to allow their powers to be passed down to any children they may have after they die.
