And one flies by your apartment window roughly every five minutes. But I never expected to become one of them. it was just pure coincidence really. Or luck. Well one things for sure. My life got a whole lot more interresting."

A Magical Surprise

Angela Summers grew up in Colorado. A bright and energetic young girl. She did well enough in school, finishing with average high grades. She always seemed full of life, barely sitting still. She enjoyed all things any teenage girl does. Hanging with friends, going on a no holds barred shopping spree, the usuall. She also took part in the highschool gymnastics team were she put her seemingly limitless energy to good use, and after catching the eye of a few scouts, Angela received a full scholarship from Paragon City University.

So Angela packed her bags, hopped on a trans-continental bus, and set off for Paragon City. The first thing she did as she got in town was find an affordable apartment. luckily the Steel Canyon district sported a number of cheap apartments. And Angela quickly found one she liked a mere stone throw away from the university grounds.

After a few weeks, money was becoming a bit of a problem. And Angela was forced to find a part time job to make ends meat. Fortunately for her, the Midnight Squad was hiring students to help with several of their more mundane projects. Angela applied and was put to work in the university library. Sorting books and files for Montague Castanella. It was during this period that her life changed forever.

While looking up several tomes about magical artifacts for Montague Castanella, angela came across a rather peculiar tome. When she picked it up to examine it, a single playing card, A queen of Hearts, slipped out of its pages. She picked it up off the floor and examined it. as she flipped it over she noticed an inscription on the back of the card. It read: Power of Hearts, Queen of Cards. Without thinking about it she repeated the little phrase out loud. And thats when it happend. there was a flash of light and Angela was transformed into a Magical Super Powered Swashbuckler. The Queen of the Cards. Her life hasn't been the same ever since.

Now whenever there is trouble all she has to do is take hold of the magic Queen of Hearts Card and repeat the inscription to call forth the power.

When shes not out putting her powers to good use in the fight against crime, she searches for information about the origin of the magical Queen of Hearts card. Unfortunately her searches have given her little information so far. But she did discover two other cards of power. Namely a Jack, and Ace of hearts. When used in conjuction with the Queen of Hearts card, Angela can increase her powers tenfold with the Jack card. And almost a hundredfold with both the Jack and Ace card.

Whatever the future has in store for her, it's gonna be exciting.

Cards of Power

Angela is a hero of magical origin. She gets her amazing powers from several enchanted playing cards.

The first and most important of these cards in the Queen of Hearts Card. This is Angelas primary power card, and transforms her into the Queen of the Cards. She can activate the cards magic at will by uttering the phrase written on the cards back. Power of hearts, Queen of Cards.

When Angela does this her hair parts into two pigtails and turns a golden blonde colour. Her clothes are replaced by a colourfull costume and a mask to cover her eyes. In addition she receives a Silver Rapier and Main Gauche. Once this physical transformation is complete, she is infused with magical power. Elevating her reflexes to superhuman levels. She can dodge bullets fired at point blank range. Disarm an opponent in the blink of an eye. And avoid punches and kicks almost effortlessly. In addition the magic of the card also grants her the skill and finesse to use the weapons she received with stunning skill and grace.

The second card Angela found was a Jack of hearts. When she is in her Queen of the Cards form and utters it's phrase, Jack of hearts, Warrior Card, she is infused with additional power. And transformed into the Legendary Card knight. She receives an armoured upgrade to her costume, and her powers are increased tenfold. Her Rapier and main Gauche are replaced by two medieval style Longswords. One Silver and one Gold one. And she gains the ability to teleport both herself and her foes.

The third and final card to come into Angelas posession was an Ace of Hearts. This card to can be activated by uttering its phrase, Legendary Card, Ace of Hearts. When she does this angela is wrapped in a corona of light, and transformed into Ultimate Card Guardian Seraphim. Her weapons become blades of pure energy. Her whole body is encased in form fitting runic armour. And brilliant wings sprout from her back. In addition her magical powers are increased nearly a hundredfold. Making her utterly unstoppable. The one drawback is that she cannot maintain this form for long periods of time, because it expends enormous amounts of energy. But a brief moment is all she needs to finish the job.

Angela can turn back to normal by placing a hand over her heart and saying, Force of the Cards Return. Wich will immediately change her back to her normal everyday self.

She also has a deck of playing cards, made from ultra lightweight carbon composites, with razor sharp edges, that she can throw much like a shuriken.

Personallity

Angela is an overall bright, energetic and hard working person. But her young age often makes her leap before looking. wich has landed her in a tight spot more then once. Shes not afraid to speak her mind and enjoys working in groups that exchange witty banter.
