History

Arcania

In the Arcania Dimension, the world evolved differently, and the Inhabitants, instead of becoming dependant on Technology, spent their time mastering Magic, using it to power and Control their everyday lives and fight their wars.

Magic was such a Strong factor in the Dimension, the entire World was Ruled by one man, the Archmage, and on occasion, children would be born with innate magical abilities, focusing on particular elements. These Children would be raised Specially, mastering their talents and eventually becoming Battlemages, the Elite Defence Force and right hand of the Archmage, sent across the world to do his Bidding.

Quinn Aseph and his Younger Sister Rayne were both found to have very powerful magical Abilities at a very young age. Their magical abilities Were discovered soon after Rayne's Birth, and they were both taken away to be raised as battlemages. They both proved exceptional students, finishing their trials and lessons, and Becoming Full-Fledged Battlemages by the time they were in their early Teens, Rayne becoming the youngest battlemage ever recorded.

However, Quinn was incredibly protective of his Sister, and it was this protectiveness that cost him everything.

During a Skirmish against several creatures that had attacked them, Rayne was fatally Wounded, and Quinn, in desperation, ended up using Healing Magic to save her life, which due to changes in the world's history was considered a form of Necromancy by the Archmage's declaration and heavily forbidden. The idea that a Battlemage would so willingly break such an old Law was horrifying, and to make sure that it would never happen again, the Archmage made an example of Quinn, accusing him of using necromancy to summon a demon that was now possesing Rayne. He had her executed immediatly, and used his magic to strip Quinn of most of his powers, and banish him to another Dimension.
