Personality
A very polite woman, who seems to be grateful to those nice back. She has the ability to get quite snippy if people are rude to her or others she sees in good favor. She may joke a bit, and, after obtaining her new body, seems much more energetic than she used to be.
Power Pools
Radiation Emission
She focuses the ability to control radiation as to affect other people's body. Her focusing power enables her to weaken people's molecular structure, or to strengthen it. Though she focuses more in the ability to break down criminal's immune system.
Radiation Blast
Able to create a more concrete blast of radiation, she learns to use this more gradually than the ability to molecularly break down her opponents.
Fitness
With her getting familiar with her new body she is learning to be more athletic, using it.
Weaknesses
Without a certain amount of concentration of Radioactive Energy in the air she cannot use her powers.
Personal History
Previous -Human- Life
Birth and Childhood
Alyssa was conceived through the rape of 17 year old Charlie Curio. Unable to get an abortion, or to rid the child Charlie decided to try and raise her, despite the tragedy that brought her about. Alyssa was an aspiring, and energetic youth, a small blessing to her mother, often helping other children, and brightening the atmosphere she was around. Her mother was often ridiculed, as was Alyssa herself, due to the way she was conceived. Despite that, Alyssa was able to pass through school without a hitch.
Adolescence
During Alyssa's teenage years, she began to start getting interested in Ethology. She branched to a more scientific view, and tried her best to do well for the eligibility for scholarships. She was blessed, because her family situation, the fact she was a first generation of her family going to college, and the financial need, she was able to receive more than enough to go to school. She moved out and went to the university right away, her mother, however, a year later committed suicide. Taking a break from her school from her mourning for about a year, she continued to school afterwards.
Adulthood
Alyssa was able to get her Bachelors and Masters Degrees at twenty five, and was offered a job at the university she was in. She accepted, finishing some instructor courses before starting her teaching career. She continued her studies, becoming a certified doctor of Ethology at the age of thirty. She decided to stay with the college, teaching there, joining a small group of biologists in Paragon City who study the effects of the city on local wildlife.
Origion of Power
Alyssa, at the age of forty, was discovered to have breast cancer, though it was relatively new, it was still a problem for any surgical removal. She was suggested to go through Chemotherapy, but found of a new experimental radiation therapy that was being offered. She, as well as ten other people, were the only to apply and get granted for the test. She went through these sessions over a month, as did the others. Her breast cancer was gone by the fourth week, though she did have an increase in dizzy spells, and nausea. She was evaluated a month after the therapy was stopped, all the people had disorientation at first, and four died a few weeks afterwards due to radiation poisoning. The remaining all had a side effect of dry skin or hair loss, though Alyssa nor only had that, but also grew to a strange lizard-like form. She felt so much better, and energetic than the others that went through this, there no real explanation for her unique reaction to the therapy. She returned to her class, able to keep her job, despite her change in appearance, a few weeks later she learned something. The ability for her to control the subtle radiation around the city coming from the Terra Volta Reactor. She heightened these powers a bit before applying to S.E.R.A.P.H. to become a registered hero.
Alyssa's relationship
Meeting of Hinto
Alyssa met a lizard-like man named Hinto one time when she was in the Pocket D. She and he got along rather well what with their inherit playful and joking nature. Upon talking they became close friends. After hearing of Hinto being homeless she took him up and allowed him to stay at her home. Originally she just went with him as friends, but saw more in him, and, were it not for him originally having a girlfriend, the Radioactive-Gecko Rizzy, she probably would have been tried to get with him sooner.
Hinto's Accident
One time Hinto was injured due to an accident - which she refuses to exactly tell of- and had to transport him to the hospital. Alyssa stayed by him, refusing that he would die, despite his heart stopping briefly at that time. She actually poured herself out to the dazed, from blood loss, Hinto, happily taking him back to her apartment when he was well enough.
Truth of her feelings
She grew much more fond of him after a bit, eventually showing him how she felt after the two had danced within her apartment. She showed him to waltz and other dances. After they took a break from the dancing they sat and talked, Alyssa soon becoming brazen enough, kissing him, seemingly out of no where. This caused Hinto to get angry, not even because he still had a girlfriend, Rizzy, but because he was afraid, due to his own saliva being as bacterial as a Komodo Dragon's, he would have Alyssa be sickened. She was able to calm him down, though they went to bed.
The day after, Hinto had thought the whole ordeal was a dream, and he just joked about it. Alyssa, knowing it wasn't, told him so. He kept his disbelief not thinking anyone like her could like 'a monster' like him. She assured him with another kiss, and she confided in him. They talked, Hinto soon deciding he would rather be with Alyssa than Rizzy, those two breaking up, Hinto and Alyssa soon becoming a loving couple. Rizzy disappearing from them for now.
A New Family Member
Alyssa and Hinto were comfortable they had received a call from the scientist that had caused Hinto to appear as he had. The villain had sent a recording of a time showing the hatching of the children he had created through forced breeding. The two had agreed to take one of the children offered. Alyssa and Hinto couldn't choose between the option of a boy or a girl to be sent. Soon a naga girl had appeared. A scientific woman known as Isabella. One of Hinto's previous daughters, one he had never seen. Alyssa accepted her and allowed the girl to live with them. She taking care of her.
Proposal and Time as Fiancés
After a couple months of the two having been together as a couple, Hinto proposed after a romantic dinner. Alyssa was stunned, but greatly happy at this accepting the proposal. The kept their engagement secret at first, only telling their friends, but soon the two knew they were meant to be together and let it become open knowledge.
Alyssa the Sexy Sidekick
Alyssa decided that since they were both a couple and they were both heroes they should become an official duo! Alyssa got the idea of Hinto's usual combat armor and made a duplicate as best she could and then surprised him with it on one of their runs. They talked and decided that Alyssa would be Hinto's 'Sexy Sidekick'. They continue to work this way once they go out together on patrols.
Rough Patch in the Relationship
Alyssa and Hinto's relationship soon came to a bump once Hinto's old lover Rizzy returned. She had told Hinto she still had feelings for him and cared for him and this seemed to make Hinto's life topsy turvy. Alyssa comforted him and wanted what was best for Hinto so she just said she would allow him to think. She wanted him to choose whichever one would make him the happiest in their life. With help from friends, and with the caring of both the women Hinto had finally decided he loved his fiancé, Alyssa. She was the only one for him. Alyssa and Rizzy had become a bit of grudging friends because of this, though.
Wedding Ceremony
Alyssa and Hinto soon had everything planned and on November 10th of 2007 the two were bound together as husband and wife by the Haitian Priest known as Hungan. The ceremony was small and took place in a cove on a smaller island off the northern coast of Talos. Several Heroes were there, most of them friends, though a few other friends they made on the other side of the law couldn't participate there was a recording of the wedding they sent.
The Honeymoon
Prior to the wedding Alyssa was able to get two tickets to Hawaii for a month. Since the Winter Vacation came they were able to get down there and enjoy themselves. They left a week after the Ceremony and came back around New Years. They had enjoyed themselves, surfing, and hula-ing though the time. They having romantic dinners, strolls on the beach or just some nights by themselves in their rooms.
Destruction of Nightmare
Nightmare is the one who had changed Hinto to how he was now. As well as several other people. Hinto had decided he wanted him gone soon, and the husband and wife gathered a interdimensional team mixed with people on both sides of the law. They had went and destroyed the evil scientist and freed the other experiment.s
Listel
Listel was one of the beings that were transformed by Nightmare and freed by the group with Alyssa and Hinto. She came to Paragon City, looking up to Hinto. When she met Hinto she greeted him with admiration. Since she just escaped she had no place to live so Hinto offered her to live with his family. Needless to say she agreed. Alyssa was happy to have Listel. Listel and Isabella were then to share a room.
New Daughter
In March Hinto and Alyssa had a daughter. This was a bit questionable to many since it never seemed like Alyssa was pregnant. The daughter was named Charlie, after Alyssa's mother. The family is currently taking care of the infant with love.
Moving to Croatoa
Hinto and Alyssa decided they wanted an actual house now. Not just an apartment, but some nice place to live. They decided to contract an architect and construction crew to build their house in Croatoa. The two moved in in April, leaving the Steel Canyon apartment they had to Isabell and Listel, who were engaged at the time.
Current Story
Hinto and Alyssa are both loving each other in Croatoa, working as heroes still, though they have a lot of work to do, what with their baby.
Hero Career
Once Alyssa Developed her powers she had decided to be a hero. She could be one more to help the innocence! As a weak human girl with no powers she had been saved by heroes and always thought they were a great asset to the city. She soon just grabbed a pair of jeans and a T-Shirt to go off as a Hero of Paragon City.
Joining the Galacto-Rangers
Alyssa was a new hero, and as such she wanted to get within a renown group of Super Heroes. She heard of the Galacto-Rangers before and heard that they were recruiting within Atlas Park. She went ahead to their recruiter and was soon accepted to the group, fighting under the title Radiant Reptile.
Rising of the Ranks
Alyssa started her career quickly, raising through security levels with great ease... Well, that was during the summer when all she had to do was go to a few meetings to help evaluate class sizes and schedules. When her classes started again she became well know as an able hero as well as a professor, and had, literally, had her classes packed full with students hearing of her exploits. Because of this it kind of hurt her career as a hero, because she beleives teaching is more important for her due to the shortage of professors, and the fact there are many more heroes than herself.
Inclusion of Hinto
Alyssa was able to get Hinto to join the Galacto-Rangers soon. The two working together as a pair of heroes. Later, however, the two Heroes began a duo, with Alyssa as the sidekick of Hinto. They continuing this even today.
Security Level 50
Hinto and Alyssa both came to Security Level 50 on the same day. They both being congratulated by the Galacto-Rangers. Later, however, they went to get a toy-deal where the two had Action Figures created of them to be dispursed in Stores. They both are still in stores!
The Statesman Task Force
When a call for heroes had come out to work for Statesman Alyssa answered the call. She and the Heroes Hinto and Hungan came together and joined the fight. The three went through and fought Recluse and his Lieutenants. They successfully completed the task and gained the medal of recognization from Statesman.
Supergroup Change!
Later in the Career Alyssa and Hinto were unhappy with the Galacto-Rangers, mainly due to they seeming to disrespect Hinto. Alyssa saw this, but thought it wasn't that bad. Just needed communication. After a get-together to speak of this there was a word-fight and Alyssa saw it was best to Leave. Alyssa and Hinto bid farewell and then left the Galacto-Rangers.
The United Sentinels of America
Alyssa and Hinto soon found a new group, The United Sentinels of America(Or USA). The two spoke with American Marvel and were soon added into the group at Silver Sentinels rank due to they both being Security level 50. Alyssa, because of personal things, hasn't risen any further in this group, yet.
Currently
Alyssa has settled down, for the most part, from heroing. She is taking care of her child, mostly, though she does go out from time to time to fight with the USA.
