Maggie's Rock. Ryan Mabrey, her boyfriend.

Personality

Tami is upbeat and optimistic, even in the face of dire difficulties. She has a never-say-die attitude. She is inquisitive. She is a peace-maker by nature and is loyal to her friends.

Powers

Quantum Field Manipulation

Tami can use her powers to do things like: weaken force-fields; change the chemical composition of the oxygen in a localized area; "heal" wounds by restoring all allies(including herself)in close proximity to an immediately previous quantum state; speed up or slow down individuals by manipulating either their own molecules or their immediate environment, or both.

Particle Beams and Plasma Blasts

Tami can also shoot particle beams from her hands and eyes or create explosive balls of plasma.

Abilities

Tami can see the universe at the quantum level. It comes naturally to her, but she does not always understand what she is seeing. If she's paying attention, she can recognize people by their quantum matrix. She can also create copies of these quantum matrices (such as when she "heals" people) and may have the ability to remake herself in the exact quantum image of another person or thing.

Weaknesses and Limitations

Tami's full capabilities are limited mostly by the finite limitations of her mind. The limits of her powers have yet to be explored, but she is more interested in trying to live a full, happy, somewhat normal life than she is in developing godlike abilities.

Tami has figured out that she can never get piercings or tattoos because she would either have to give up using her "quantum healing" powers, or else the punctures from the piercings will never heal. This also means that if she is ever seriously injured and is unable to restore herself, then she will have to stop using her powers until she is adequately healed.

Equipment

Tami's not a gadget kind of girl. She is severely colorblind however (she sees everything with a green tint) and wears either special goggles or contact lenses to let her see colors normally.

Character History

Tamara (Tami) Martinov came into this world under very mysterious circumstances at a secret laboratory somewhere in the former Soviet Union. Her father, Dr. Dmitri Martinov was already advanced in years when she was born. After her birth he came to the United States where his son, Michael, had relocated. Michael and Dmitri started Sovtek USA, Ltd in order to market Dmitri's many inventions. They soon became wealthy men and the U.S. military became Sovtek's biggest customer.

When she was in elementary school, Tami saw a boy fall on the playground and break his arm. She instinctively used her powers to restore him to health. This caused quite a stir in her small suburban community near Richmond, VA. People began bringing sick relatives to be healed by her, but her powers were useless against things like birth defects and cancer. The people who had come to her for healing then reviled her and accused her of "playing God" by deciding who she would heal and who she would not. Her father decided to withdraw her from public school and began home-schooling her. They moved onto the high-security military base where he worked.

As she grew older, Dr. Martinov decided that she needed more of a peer group than the home-school kids outings provided, so he decided to take her to Paragon City to live. Around this time, he also discovered that he was dying of an incurable condition. Tami wound up saving him, but the process left him infused with chronal energy that turned him into a child for a short time, but he eventually caught back up and is now an elderly, but healthy, man again.

A short time later, her half-brother, Michael Martinov kidnapped her when he was trying to sell the family business, Sovtek USA Ltd to Crey Industries. She was rescued by her boyfriend, Ryan (aka Ice Worm) and subsequently spent the winter of 2010 on a secret marine base in the Bahamas with him (always accompanied by Marine chaperones -- so no hanky-panky!).

Tami has now been a superhero in Paragon City for a couple of years. She has made many friends at Maggie's Rock, and has "adopted" some of them as family.
