The Rose Prince is meant to be a dark hero of sorts. While his mission is technically righteous, his methods are brutal. The fact that the name was not taken beforehand also proved quite a suprise. He is Akutenshiizero's first character.

Personality
The Rose Prince hates any who defy his "Mother" and destroy plantlife. This, unfortunately, is a wide catagory. He carries himself with a noble attitude, and believes he is a true Hero. Generally, he is a bitter and vengeful soul, hell-bent on punishing humanity.
Character History
Mamoru Shoubi was born August 4, 1985 in Izumo, Japan. He spent his early childhood there with his father and grandfather, living near a shrine his family had maintained for generations. Over the first 10 years of his life, Mamoru heard tales of the anchient Kami which resided in Izumo. Legends spoke of spirits which represented all aspects of nature, and the people who had catered to these spirits or even fought them at times. Being a child in the moden world, Mamoru gave little credit to the bedtime stories. Nevertheless, he grew to respect and cherish nature in those early days.
At 10 years old, Mamoru's grandfather died. His father, Akio Shoubi, had been tied to the shrine by tradition alone and took this opportunity to move into a more modern, practical setting. The two moved to America, living in San Diego. Mamoru adapted quickly, and soon began showing signs of a bright future in botany. With his father often working, Mamoru was left to occupy himself. He did so by joining a local environmentalist group containing most of his high school classmates. From age 17 to 21, Mamoru fought tirelessly to preserve nature through both political and scientific methods.
When Mamoru reached 21, he had grown desperate for a way to save nature from mankind's greed. He gave up on scientific methods, and soon began to imagine more forceful ways. Obsessed and desperate, Mamoru recalled the legends from his childhood of ancient spirits. He left home, traveling to his old home of Izumo to investigate the local shrines. Ironically, his journey ended at his own family's shrine. To his surprise, the legends were indeed true; Mamoru made contact with a Kami who seemed as angered as he was. It is unknown whether the kami truly wanted to help, or if it was simply using him as a host. Whatever the case, Mamoru made a pact to bond with the kami. He was re-born as the "Rose Prince", twisted into a humanoid plant and equally twisted in his mind. He remained at the shrine for a year, learning his powers and attacking townsfolk at random.
Now, the Rose Prince has come to the Rouge Isles in search of more like him. He is drawn to the city of Paragon, seeing it as a beacon of human greed and arrogance. While he had hoped to find allies, he has been met thus far with hostility from both sides. Nevertheless, the Rose Prince swears vengeance on humanity, even if it must be done alone.
Powers
The Rose Prince has the ability to communicate with plantlife. He uses this to call forth roots from the ground to aid him, often times strangling his foes. Aside form this, he is capable of sprouting thorns with incredible speed. He often uses these thorns as a thrown weapon, or for a bit of intimidation. The thorns themselves are coated in a paralyzing venom, capable of completely disabling weaker enemies. Since bonding with the kami, he has found himself with a strange magical aura and can vent these energies as a weapon, though the effects seem temporary. The Prince uses his knowledge of botany to enchance himself as well, using serums to boost his growth rate exponentially. He has also begun to use this knowledge to create permanent enhancements. He glides by extending the small leaves covering his body to catch the wind, and is experimenting on his body structure to grow larger wing-like leaves for more arial capabilities.
Biological Notes
Since the Rose Prince is such a strange creature physically, a special file on his known anatomy is kept at the PPD headquarters. While his transformation is of magical origin, he is not actually enchanted and has no magical energies whatsoever. He has very few organs, none of which are human-like. The closest thing would be air sacs which are far smaller than lungs and appear to serve the purpose of allowing speech. And thought he breaths out of habit, carbon dioxide is actually taken in through his skin. Though he has been seen drinking water and "plant-food" concoctions, he has no digestive tract. Fluids he consumes appear to be absorbed directly into his body. As for his actual body structure, he appears to be formed of a complex network of tiny vines interwoven with no skeletal base. These vines are re-grown at an accelerated rate, making him near impossible to kill with conventional weaponry. This data was obtained November 15, 07 when he was gunned down in Atlas Park and presumed dead. The files survived, though the examiner was not so lucky.
