Royal is one of the hundreds of characters created by the sick and twisted mind of the mysterious @Energeiz. A veteran from the second month of the games release Energeiz has had contact with every archetype the game has to offer, unfortunately this has made him senile and he's decided to make gimp characters to make up for the doldrums of power playing. Actually, in truth, @Energeiz has never once liked power playing and has created all his characters for story purposes. Royal is the first Virtue character he has made, his recent exploits spanning across Triumph.

The character Royal is modelled after Rogue, and Jean Grey in that she's a super powerful character that is unsure of her abilities, or cursed by them. Her story starts with a Rogue-esque appeal, killing her boyfriend which scars her for the three years she's been taken in by HeroCorps. This makes her doubt her powers, and not want them to be used by anyone. However as her story goes on causing her to use her powers more and more it becomes clear that Royal could easily become a force to be reckoned with.

Personality

The quiet type more out of fear than actual personality type, Susan Fisher has become the type of girl who would much rather blend into the background then talk to a group of people. In fact most people don't seem to glimpse her personality as she often doesn't convey enough emotion to properly paint a personality worth note. There are times however when her old self shines through, exuding a confidence that brightens the day of those around her. Even with subdued emotions and sterile talk she genuinly cares about those around her, hoping to make everyone happy and content, and most of all to avoid any unnecessary dispute. Though, as she grew and especially with HeroCorps, she came to realize that not everyone is going to share the same line of thought in which she uses the strength she gained coming out of the Row to become something of an indomitable spirit.

Power

Studied by HeroCorps it was determined that even though the events surrounding Royal's mutation were scientific in nature, that her genetic code had already had a latent mutant gene that had been diluted by time. It was also determined that there was a high possibility that she would have manifested on her own by the time she was twenty one years of age.

Suggestive Sonic Resonance

The short explanation of this power is that Royal can use her voice to make others do whatever she wants them to do. However as there are, with many powers, caveats its should be noted that the short version does not properly explain her power. First and foremost, Royal must speak in commands in order to get the desired effect out her power. While this narrows down the need to keep her careful of the way she speaks, it should also be noted that any command no matter how short can be fueled by her manifested power. Study of this power has confirmed that it does output a slight psionic pulse, however the measurement is not enough to fully encompass the amount of control she can exude over a person, rather it only seems enough to open the mind up to the command in question. As well, Royal is able to bolster her allies with the same types of commands, the resonance of her voice mingled with the psionic output she produces causing a multitude of positive and negative effects.

Abilities

Most of the abilities taught to Royal were by HeroCorps as a measure to keep her safe (Or so they said.) Her powers are such that she can say something she doesn't mean to devastating effects so she's been conditioned to reduce the number of occurrences that her power takes effect without her consent. Its not complete control, but its enough to at least help her, help herself.

Eloquence

In a nutshell Eloquence is the ability to speak, most people learn to talk, only a few really ever learn to speak. Royal can watch her words before she says them and make educated decisions as to what effect they might have on others. As such this makes it so she can avoid giving commands at all times, but there are other advantages as well. Eloquence makes her an optimal diplomat, being able to speak in turn to everyone around her clearly and concisely, which goes far in a group like The Artful Dodgers.

Emotional Training

It should be noted that Royal does not have complete control over her emotions, just like she does not have complete control over her powers. Emotional training merely subdues any emotional outbursts she might have, quelling any rage before it becomes something she can't take back. She still experiences emotions, just to a lesser extent, making her more logical about everything she does. Which in turn helps her to negotiate with others along with her eloquence training.

Self Defense

The very basics of Self Defense taught to her by HeroCorps. Royal knows how to disarm opponents and use their weight against them, as well she knows how to be very precise with her punches and kicks so she does not waste energy when defending herself. While she'll never be a prize fighter, its certainly enough to allow her to defend herself from thugs, or others from the same fate.

Acrobatics

Basic Acrobatics taught by HeroCorps, no standing back-flips or bending into a pretzel. Instead Royal knows how to effectively move her body so that she's less of a target. It doesn't seem to work for somebody firing a gun at her, but its certainly effective enough when she's being assaulted by a knife or someones fists.

Teleportation

While Royal herself has no aptitude for any sort of high speed travel power, she had commissioned a fellow member of The Artful Dodgers, Holo Lad, to modify the cell phone she received when joining the group to tap into the Paragon City Mediport System. While she can't travel as great of distances with it, the phone allows her to at least travel faster than she could on foot. It uses the phones own battery life to fuel its power, and with it she can travel nearly 200 yards between each teleport. Questions have been raised by Paragon City authorities as to if using the Mediport Teleportation system is indeed morally right, and have commissioned Quantum Physicists to study the effects it has on the inset system.

Character History

General History

Susan Fisher was destined to grow up a seemingly normal girl. Of course, Paragon City had a unique and often twisted way of changing a persons destiny. No one rightly knows what happened to Susan, though they have identified that she does have an innate genetic condition effecting her vocal chords, though it didn't manifest until she was thirteen. In which she was able to make anyone around her to do anything she wanted or didn't want with a simple spoken command

Taken by HeroCorps under the cover of needing her to control her abilities, Susan was trained for three years in the art of Eloquence in Emotional Control. As well they taught her self defense and acrobatics in hopes that she would join them as a hero. Not wanting to be used she escaped to resume her old life, but found that her mother had grown terrified of her power and wouldn't let her back. So, thrown out into the streets, Susan took up the name Royal and joined a group of wayward meta-teens called The Artful Dodgers, vowing to never be used by anyone again.
