Backstory

Just trying to be 'normal'

The war golem Salaxacis is a forgotten artifact from a dead kingdom that was built to fight a losing war on a plane far removed from earth that no longer exists.

The Beginning

On a plane once called Blue Arcadia there was a war raging that had gone on so long most people could not trace there family history to a point when they had known peace. This war was over the control of the seven crystals of magic. These embodied the powers and elements that made up Blue Arcadia. It was said that eons ago a group of mages fled to this plane to escape troubles in there home world. They are called the seven founders each a master of magic. They weaved together the plane form parts of their very soul. They then summoned there followers to the new realm. Peace lasted they say for ages untold. But as all things it was not meant to be. Markus the son of seven generations from the founder Diberus master of shadow magic found the realm to lacking and started the never ending war. He wanted nothing less then complete power over the realm. It was countless years and the forces on all sides were thinning out. Crops were failing and people died faster then they could grow up. This gave birth to the golems, no one was willing to give up the war or let Markus control the realm. So the other six families banded together and built an army of golems each given life and trained in the ways or war and magic. They would carry on the war and turn the tide. This is how Salaxacis came to be along side countless brothers and sisters of clay, stone, and metal.

Early Life

For decades Salaxacis waged war with her brethren on a scale few mortals even dreamed of. When the families fell one by one she waged on. When the kingdoms collapsed one by one she waged on. As each crystal keep feel to the armies of Markus one by one she waged on. It was a hopeless one sided war and yet see waged on. She knew nothing else. Even after Markus had won her and he brethren waged on fighting his armies when there was nothing left to fight over. But that is when in the darkness hour things changed and things do not always change for the better.

The Storm

As Markus' dream came true and he had all seven of the crystals he made to rewrite the vary fabric of the plane. And in so doing his greed and corruption seeped into the realm. At first it was nothing much the people left that had sided with Markus were busy rebuilding to notice if someone went missing or if some forgotten corner of the kingdom faded away. But within a few years it became clear Blue Arcadia was unraveling. There was a storm of unmaking that was sweeping across the land. The remaining war golems renewed there efforts not at defeating Markus but recovering the crystals. But it was not to be one by one the last of the golems vanished or were destroyed as the realm it self slowly fell apart. It was in this unraveling that Salaxacis feel into the spaces between the planes and drifted. Cut off from her power she fell into a dreamless sleep and drifted for an unknown time.

Reawakening

Waiting in the vault
The year was 1990 and some young explorers from M.A.G.I. found a highly magical statue and pulled it form the astral plane. It was unknown where it came form or how it got into astral space. After it sat in a vault for almost a decade Salaxacis was accidentally reawaken when some would be villains were trying to steal her and some other artifacts. She was a shadow of her former self but more then a match for these would be criminals. After dispatching them she made her way out of the vault only to be attacked by members of M.A.G.I. thinking she was something summoned or sent to loot the vault. The battle went on for a hour when the higher members of M.A.G.I. showed up and bound Salaxacis quickly. They questioned, scryed, and probed her for days before they agreed she was free willed and had no ill will or evil magic within her. After registration as a hero she was allowed to do what she wanted.

Free Willed

Paragon city was odd to her at first. Knowing only war her whole life she threw herself into the hero role just because it gave her something to do and was something she has the skills for. In the few years she's been around she has been relatively aimless. But she is starting to open up to the idea that there is more to life then combat. She has renewed her study in magic at M.A.G.I. something that they have been willing to give but also find odd that she a construct of magic can learn and wield spells.

The Next Thing?

We will have to see where the winds of fate take her. Currently she is homeless but with out many needs she wonders the streets of Paragon with little worry.

Personality

You would assume that a golem built for war that fought in a battle for hundreds of years would be a pretty mean sort of person. You would be wrong when it comes to Salaxacis as she really has a kind soul. Since she has been re-awaken she has questioned much of her reason to be. And while still happy to throw herself into battle she wants to help others more then bash there faces in. She can be down right cheery given the chance.
