About Sanctus Angeli
There are guardians over mankind that watch over him, and spur his heart to greatness. They are in the spaces between realms, they are the comforting arms that lift his spirit when he is crushed, and they are the saviors of the innocent. They took an oath to be his vanguard against the denezins of shadow, those that would steal from him his pursuits of happiness and free will. They stand resolute their faith unflinching and their resolve unmatched, for his destiny may lie in their hands, and the forces of darkness are all too eager to make mankind crumble into despair, and corruption.
Inception
As the ages have passed th Light has been more and more challenged to provide the serene landscape of mortality for mankind. Beings of darkness, of shadow, and lies threaten his realms of light continuously, their hunger unsatiable. The Angeli have stood for eons to protect that which is dear to the Light and to protect the souls of men. The Fallen (relatives to the Angeli) have lead countless assaults on the Angeli themselves and on the spirits of men.
It became very clear to the Light and the Angeli that they were loosing the ultimate battle for the souls of mankind, the Fallen and their Daemonic counterparts were causing more and more distrust, sinfulness, and widespread corruption among the mortal realms. Those with the strength to stand up, and directly engage the forces of darkness, in whatever forms they take have unified under the Sanctus Angeli to Preserve the souls of mankind, to grant them salvation, and to destroy the denezins of shadow.
The Sanctus Angeli
The Seraph Raphael gathered unto himself his most trusted fellows and begged their aid in saving mankind, their vessels souls were nearly completely doomed, and drastic measures must be taken to stop the forces of darkness. The Sanctus Angeli have taken an oath to never use any means that might be questionable to preserve mankind, that they will uphold the Light at all costs, but will do battle if necesarry to safeguard the midrealms.
Each of the Angeli within the order have taken a chosen one, their "champion" and granted them the boon of Heaven and blessings to fight the agents of darkness... Allowing mankind the chance to save... himself.

They are indoctrined and equiped to fight these beings and granted great boons, that make them superior to their fellow man.
