Personality

Scion of Justice is your typical hero with two faces.

Angelius, Secret Identity

Angelius DeRosa is a quiet secluded young man. Working as a Freelance Designer, and Part-Time Labratory Assistant he doesn't have very much time to socialize. The few friends Angelius has are actually co-workers. When Angelius isn't working, he can be found either down at the local bookstore, trying to track down the latest Sci-fi/Fantasy book, or looking for interesting Mythology books. It's not so much that Angelius is shy, but more that he is socially awkward. Having grown up as an only child of two busy parents, he had to learn to amuse himself. He soon learned that his father's Mythology books could provide hours, upon hours of endless amusement. Beyond that there were always computer games that could provide an escape from the unexciting reality of his life.

Scion of Justice

"I'm Attractive, Charming, Intelligent, Good in the sack and I fight crime... What's not to Love?" This pick-up line, has been used to resounding success, and pretty much sums up how Scion of Justice see's himself. He was granted life again by a Goddess, and he takes full advantage of it. It's a known fact that Men and Women have fallen victim to his charm and his ego. Many hearts have been broken since he emerged on the Superhero scene in Paragon City. He's not perfect, and he knows it; He just doesn't like to show it.

Powers

Scion of Justice's powers come from his resurrection at the hands of an unknown mystical being claiming to be the ancient Goddess Athena. There is no evidence to substantiate the claim, but Scion feels compelled to action by visions of the Goddess.

Flight

This ability was granted to Scion by "Athena" once he reached Security Level 14. "Athena" said that since he was doing such a great job, ridding the city of villians this power would only help him excel further.

Electricity Manipulation

Just as Athena's father Zeus weilded Thunderbolts to battle monsters in Ancient Greece, Scion is able to manipulate electricity. He is able to harness the power of electricity into bolts of lightning to attack enemies, as well as craft cages of electricity to halt fleeing enemies in their tracks.

Fire Manipulation

While not as proficient with manipulating flames, he is still able to craft a sword of flame to fight with. Scion can also quickly call upon flames to spring forth around enemies to stop them from fleeing. Utilizing his knowledge of fire, he can also use his talents to consume the endurance of his opponents and make it his own.

History

The Early Years

Angelius "Angel" DeRosa was born in Raleigh, NC. He was the only child of Roman and Angelina DeRosa. Roman DeRosa was a Professor working for the University of North Carolina, teaching Mythology. He specialized in Ancient Greek Mythology, and had a sizeable collection of books on the matter. Angelina was a Neurologist working for the local hospital. Angel grew up pretty much living the good life. His family owned a nice house, in a nice neighborhood. The downside to his life, was that his Mother was at work more than at home; and his Father spent most of his time doing research. Angel was a smart boy, doing well in school, and got accepted to an Ivy League university.

While away at college Angel met a woman by the name of Marcia LeFleur. They dated for a few years, and eventually after both graduating they decided they would move in together, close to her family in Rhode Island. They eventually settled down in Providence, and Angel got a job working for a Publishing company. His life looked like it was shaping up to something very nice. Then fate decided to rear it's ugly head, and things started to unravel. While working in South America, his mother Angelina was kidnapped. A few months later, his father was in a terrible car accident and died from his injuries. Angel was even laid-off from his job. While out for a walk late one evening in downtown Providence, Angel happened to stumble upon a woman being mugged, the mugger was armed and shot Angel five times in the chest and fled.

The Second Chance

Somewhere in the ether of the Afterlife, Angel heard a voice whispering to him. "Now is not your time my Knight. Now is not your time at all." It was then that he saw an image of the Goddess Athena appear before him. "Athena" explained to him, that she was witness to many injustices in the world, and she could no longer stand by idle and let them unfold. She said that she would give Angel life once more, and grant him Superhuman, magical powers if he would serve her and her cause. Angel was uncertain what to make of the offer, but accepted it. With his agreement, "Athena" bestowed life upon Angel once more, as well as granting Angel the ability to manipulate Electricity and Fire.

Realizing that he could not return to his old life once more, Angel left Providence for Paragon City. It was there that "Athena" wanted him to go, and it was there that he started a new life. Shortly after moving into his new apartment in Atlas Park, he saw his first Superhero. That's when it started to become clear to him, that here in Paragon City, he could let his new powers free and start fighting crime. Not wanting to risk his personal life, and remember all the old Superhero stories and comics he used to read as a child, Angel decided he needed an "alter ego". It was then that Scion of Justice was born.
