Miyu Natsumora is a Japanese citizen currently working for ELITE as a combat specialist for robotic martial adaptation. She is a world leader in Shorin-ryu "Shobayashi" karate-do, an Okinawan hard-form karate for which she holds five world titles.
ELITE has fitted Miyu with a series of nano-sensors so they can trace her combat abilities in real-world scenarios. The data is recorded and interpreted for use with android combatants, which is in turn sold to both Freedom Corps and Vanguard for live application.
When Miyu's father, Tatsuo "Dragon" Natsumora traveled to Paragon City to investigate Miyu's program for himself, his plane was hijacked by Malta Operatives and brought down in a conflict with Longbow interceptors, though the file on the incident is still classified. Seeking more than just revenge, Miyu has been outfitted with the latest technologies Freedom Corps has to offer, using her own combat information integrated into a Haptics Power Suit (HPS). This combat technology allows her to move weightlessly inside the half-ton armor by predicting her movements. She is now the first full-scale applicant of her own combat innovations.
Registered as a hero and monitored by ELITE, she now seeks to expose more of the operations behind the Council and the elusive Malta group, to give Paragon City hope for survival. She has found friends in the Teen Phalanx supergroup for teenagers, and fights closely along side her fellow team members Seismicity, Blood Redd, Zotbot and the Faceless Dark One.

In-game Biography
The young and talented Miyu Natsumora is a five-time international Shorin-ryu champion, sparring and form. So when ELITE recruited her to motion capture for a new haptical combat robot, she took the first plane to Paragon City to begin the program.
When her father Tatsuo came into town to visit, he was taken hostage by Malta operatives in order to leverage for the new combat data for the Council. Freedom Corps failed to neutralize the situation, and Miyu's father was sacrificed. Now realizing that nobody is safe from the threats of the world, Miyu has decided to take a more active stance in the eradication of villainy.
For consolation, Freedom Corps now funds Miyu's crimefighting endeavors by providing cutting edge combat technology, including a Haptics Power Suit made from her own combat data. Though, even without her HPS, she is a formidable opponent for even the most savvy combatant.

Personality
Miyu is a cold nut to crack, but has a warm disposition to those who get to know her. Often reserved with her own life, she can be defensive if she feels threatened socially. She has a highly competitive nature, and will sometimes offer challenges as solutions to problems, with her own honor laid out on the table. Those who get beyond her defenses, however, find that she has little to hide from her friends, and is often willing to go above and beyond her own needs for her friendships.
Storylines
As her martial skills continue to prove an asset in the fields of Paragon City, her technology adapts to become more effective. The first HPS suit has not yet met the combat standards for field work, but is improving daily. Through her trials, she meets friends and contacts who help her discover more about the groups she looks to dismantle.
Her father's death is still shrouded in mystery, and Freedom Corps has provided very little intelligence to lay Miyu's heart to rest. She is working within her own capacity to uncover the secrets of Malta and the Council to try and shut down their operations from within. It is a risky task, however, because it is known by all that it is her technology they covet, and she could very easily become a prisoner, or victim, of this war.
Miyu's mother Momoko has gone into hiding since the incident with her father, with the Nipponichi (Freedom Corps' Japanese affiliate) keeping close tabs on the Natsumora family assets.
Martial Abilities
Miyu possesses the equivalent of a Hachidan (eighth-degree) rank of Shorin-ryu karate-do, but is also studied in many other styles, including Gojo-ryu and Isshin-ryu, and the methods of non-Japanese styles such as Kung-fu, Savate and Muay Thai. Her skills are fluid and unconventional, in that she is a very adaptive combatant. She once nullified a combatant in an unofficial bout by whistling near his ear during a defensive maneuver, causing him to misplace his balance. She has since been lovingly nicknamed "Kosemi", or the Little Cicada.
