Appearance
Alexa Korotuva seems such a slight and wispy black woman. The eyes of many metas have mistaken her build for low power and ability, for villians, this has proven a downfall. She has long black hair and brown eyes that display a very intelligent and analytical mind. Besides the typical twenty-three year old battle with skin blemishes, her smooth dark skin covers a layer of well-toned muscle. This is due to intense workouts everyday brought about by a hard lesson learned about endurance and health in one of her first battles against crime. If she is seen at Paragon University she is almost always clad in a conservative ice blue one piece dress or a blue and white two piece dress. Her costume, of metallic, kevlar and nylon fiber mesh, is a mix of blue and white coloration with the hammer and sickle symbol of Russia proudly displayed upon the chest. She tends to wear a mask while fighting crime, though this is due more to the superhero aesthetic rather than hiding her identity. After all, how many black female Russians do you suppose there are in Paragon City? Her spoken English, while not flawless, is very good.

Personality Traits
Alexa is a quiet woman due to her focus on whatever task is at hand be it on mission, studying her magic, or studying in University. This is also because she is somewhat shy around people she does not know. Because of her nature, Alexa tends to over analyze most things. She is always searching for a "better way" to do anything. When not on mission or studying, Alexa keeps to herself and can usually be found spending hours at a beach reading a book or just watching the tide go in and out. She does go to the Pocket D club, but a social butterfly she is not. She tends to stay close to the DJ or bartender. She does not mind being alone or meeting new people. Just don't expect her to open up right away and become a "Chatty Cathy". Being born in Russia, she is patriotic to her homeland. After becoming a citizen of the United States, she proved to be just as patriotic. It is not uncommon for her to be found in either country fighting the forces of evil.

Her training in magic was focused mostly around living in and with the harsh Siberian Winters of her home in Russia. However, something was different with Alexa as she not only learned her grandmother's grasp of ice magic, but had somehow managed to surpass her in both knowledge and ability. For example, she no longer needs to incant any spell. She needs only to think of it to make it so. There were a few who attributed her mastery of ice magic to an inherent mutation, but after thorough examinations, this proved not to be the case. Alexa, as human as anyone, just simply had a "knack" for ice magic. She is capable of all forms of magic as any sorceress would be, but she has very little in the way of ability or control over those other spells. She manages flying spells with accuracy enough, but she does tend to worry about them giving out while she is aloft and this tends to make her a shaky flyer at best.
In one of her first battles against crime, she had been beaten so severly that she nearly died. A harsh lesson learned, she took up seeing to her physical fitness and learning the finer points of Emergency First Aid and Battlefield Medicine.
Alexa also posseses a very sharp mind with a near photographic memory. By the time she was 20, she had already gained two doctorates. One in Marine Biology and the second in Oceanography. Her current majors include Geology, Physics and Law, both national and international.
History
Alexa Korotuva's family emigrated to Russia a number of generations ago. They were not very apt at keeping up with their family history and so her original family name has been lost over the years. However, through some investigation, she did discover that her family had its roots in the Zulu tribe of Africa. Though there were a few interacial marriages in her family throughout the years, Alexa's family maintained their dark skin color.
At the age of three, her parents were killed in an automobile wreck. No aliens, no villians, no foul play. Just a simple accident that could have happened to anyone. After the funeral, Alexa went to live with her grandmother, her only surviving relative.
She grew up like most any child. Happy, healthy, loved, and educated. She harbored no resentments against anyone or anything and the loss of her parents did not scar her and leave her hating the world. She always had her face in a book, always learning as much as she was capable of.
Within time, her grandmother began to teach her how to use magic to live with her environment. Alexa gained an unforseen and unmeasured control over that magic.
She graduated top of her class in High School at the age of fourteen and began her studies at Moskva University in Marine Biology and Oceanography. At the age of seventeen, her grandmother passed away peacefully and for the first time in her life, Alexa felt truly alone, isolated, and very lost. It was one of her professors that suggested a new life in a new country might be the best thing for her. He contacted a friend and colleague at Paragon University and made all the necessary arrangements for Alexa's transfer. By the age of eighteen, Alexa Korotuva was settling into her new life in Rhode Island, America.
To this day, she could not tell you the name of the hero she helped one evening while returning from classes to her small apartment. The hero was engaged in a battle with members of the Council and he was haggard and faltering. Alexa, on instinct, simply froze the council members in their tracks giving the hero a chance to collect himself and finally make short work of his adversaries. After the police had come and removed the criminals, the hero, without a word, simply nodded at her and flew off into the night.
The incident, not to mention the hero's unique costume, inspired Alexa. She designed a fitting costume for her abilities and began to try her hand at helping to rid the city, her home, of its criminal elements. She had no name then to associate herself with and thought she was doing a pretty fine job of maintaining her anonimity. However, after an interview with a television newscaster, many of her fellow students automatically recognized her. Anonimity was complety out the window for her. One of her professors at Paragon University referred to her super alter ego as the Siberian Maiden. She liked it and kept the moniker as her superhero identity.
Her accomplishments against the criminals of Paragon City garnered her enough attention from the United States government that she was offered citizenship. She readily accepted and was pleased to learn she had been allowed to also keep her native citizenship.
Association
Siberian Maiden joined the organization known as K.O.B.O.L.D. at the request of its leader. The organization's premise seemed ideal to her and there was a part of her which could see that this ragtag group of heros could use a little stability in their ranks. She immeadiately took over the job as base designer after seeing the rooms with equipment, devices and many other things scattered around haphazardly.

Temporary Alliances
It's quite amazing to find out who might join you when neccesity demands. Siberian Maiden assisted the vile Relics of Power creature know as Blood Lord Aergulf in several battles against the Rikti. His reasoning for the alliance was simple. My reasons are my own for this alliance. Whatever the reasoning, the unlikely pair managed to put a stop to several Rikti plans.

Kiki Olivares aka Kit Kill. A thirteen year old mastermind subjected to illegal genetic experimentation which drove her insane.
Excerpt from an Television Interview
From the report by Trenton Albertson interviewing Alexa Korotuva aka Siberian Maiden
Trenton Albertson: And who would you say is the most lethal villian you've ever faced?
Alexa Korotuva: Kiki Olivares.
TA: Kit Kill? A thirteen year old who only manages a full group of gangbangers because of her brother Carlos. I'm sorry for my laughter, but seriously, even with her genetic re-engineering I doubt she poses much of a threat to most metas.
AK: Carlos has little or no control over anything in her gang and there is a substantial reason for this, I believe he is only acting as older brother and protecting her as best as he can. Yet, you have asked who I believed to be most lethal. You did not ask me who I feel is strongest villian or who is smartest or any other. Kit Kill, Kiki, IS most lethal villian I have ever faced.
TA: Alright, be that as it may, how does a simple thirteen year old with gang aspirations merit such respect from you in regards to her danger level?
AK: She is not dangerous to most metas as you say. It is to normal Humans as like yourself who are in most danger from her. Whatever the scientists who transformed her were trying to accomplish they also opened up a part of her mind that is capable of wonderful things. However, they drove her insane through the pain of their experimentation and attempts to brainwashing her for their purposes and that part of her mind has become dangerous. Because of her brother Carlos' early gang relations, before their kidnap by the scientists, Kiki has particular idea of how gang should be. Here is where she is become dangerous to normals. Her gang is always at her side because when she need her gang, her mind reaches out to the closest normals.
TA: So normal people become her gang members for a little while?
AK: In a way. She kills them. I don't believe she does it on purpose, but her power completely destroys person's personality, thought process and even synapses she kills. To be precise, they become nothing more than... what are those dolls American girls play with? Blair and Kirk dolls, da? They become dolls that her imagination uses to whatever need or desire she has. When she is finish, she let them go. She does not realize she has killed them and does not see their bodies just fall over to never get up again. This makes it hard for any of us to capture her. She will reach out to nearest normals and they die because it will be our fault.
TA: That's...the most horrifying thing I have heard in a long time. How did you find all this out?
AK: Her brother. Even though he will still fight me to protect his sister, he has told me his story and has ask for my help and help of K.O.B.O.L.D.
Player and RP Notes
Maiden is a concept character. Do not assume that I speak or understand Russian because I do not. Keep that in mind when RP'ing with me.
I am not one of those creepy people who needs to cyber every five minutes. Maiden is off limits in that area. Her status is single and she will stay that way. Not even a dating or romance RP with her is allowed. Assume her life is filled with study, crime fighting and relaxing when she can so there is no time for relationships.
I do not play as a filler for farm teams. If you want me on your team then it will be as a contributor. I do not like standing around waiting for you to get done with your farm so I can play. So don't ask.
If you are a numbers player, keep in mind that I build my characters according to how I want them to be for role play and purposes of my own gaming enjoyment. NOT because I want a free easy ride through the game grid. So if particular builds are more important to you than game enjoyment or if the concept of your character actually having to face a challenging situation be too daunting for you, then don't invite me.
Depending on my level of boredom or frustration, I may or may not pvp. Essentially, I don't really care for it so I have to be in a particular mood to consider it. So if you ask for duels or ask me to join a pvp team, don't be insulted if I turn you down.
