Dr. Grayson Wells adopted the young boy. He noticed Nicholas' penchant for staying up late, venturing out into the night. For years he kept his mother's death from him, finally telling him what really happened on his 13th birthday. Wells also informed the boy that he is the hero known as Dr. Knightfall, who fought side by side with his mother. Grayson felt remorse for not being able to save Nick's mother, if he had been there, things might have been different. The boy had been training since he was young, Grayson knew that one day he would want to follow in his mother's footsteps, however Nick wanted to follow in Grayson's instead. When Grayson was young he too was a sidekick to the original Dr. Knigthfall, and Nick used one of his sidekick costumes to become the hero Moonstreak.
The pair had gone on a few adventures, success always seemed to follow. Originally Nick wanted to hunt vampires and things that go bump in the night, but he instead became a hero of the people. Soon Grayson took up a job in Millenium City, ascending to board member and part owner of Mercy General. In a new city, Nick felt he needed a new name and rebranded himself as Sparrow. As time passed Grayson's body began to grow old and weak, the exoskeletal suit that he used was no longer doing the trick. More and more Sparrow became his own hero, utilizing Grayson's expertise with advice and tech on the side. Grayson was forced to retire from his doctor duties and with that sold his stake in the hospital, moving back to Paragon City. Nick followed with him.
= Personality =
Nick is charming and rather friendly, but as Sparrow he is all business. He is overly observant and always looking to make contacts. Meeting people is his forte, and even in costume he comes off as quite likable, though he tends to be overly emotionless.
Has a tendency to fall for the wrong women, whether that be a villain, or just not the right girl for him....he usually finds them.
