STORY
Adrian Matherson always strived to be the best. Whether it was in sports or academics Adrian loved to challenge himself. A model student and all around nice guy, Adrian had a great life. But something was missing. It would bother him constantly, knowing that somewhere in the world someone was getting mugged, raped or even killed. He yearned for the chance to help them but in his mind he knew that he could never succeed in being a hero. The heroes of Paragon City were gods among men, with amazing powers and abilities that Adrian could never match. Adrian began to have trouble concentrating in school, his grades dropped he was called into the principals office because he was worried that Adrian was on drugs and that he was throwing his life away. It was nothing like that. All Adrian wanted to do was to challenge himself to become a hero. Adrian began loosing friends and started becoming very anti-social. After weeks of only ever leaving the house to go to school, Adrian was invited by a friend who he hadn't seen in a few years to go ride some motorbikes in the country. Adrian reluctantly accepted. But even as he was riding a motorbike trying to challenge himself to go faster he couldn't. As much as he tried he couldn't even move his wrist to increase the speed even a little. His vision blurred, everything went silent, Adrian lost concentration and crashed into and old abandoned barn. His friend looked back to see what had happened to Adrian but just as he looked back he hit a huge rock and went airborne. He landed with a thud but was crushed by the bike breaking three of his ribs and knocking him out. Meanwhile, Adrian was in the old barn laying still, lifeless. After hearing the sudden halt of his friends bike engine, he became worried and decided to make a decision that would prove to change his life. He got up. When he reached his friend he was in bad shape. Adrian wasn't is any better of a state but he still soldiered on. Adrian was shaking. Everything was numb no pain, no nothing. He hoisted his friend over his shoulder and began to run. But he wasn't just weakly stumbling around while holding his friend. He was running, faster than ever before. Everything was a blur and he reached the hospital, Had he really run that far and fast? While a doctor tended to his friend a nurse asked him to show her where he is hurting. Adrian said nothing. The nurse gave him an odd look and asked what's wrong. Adrian was looking at his wrist, when he had crashed into the barn the bone had popped out and was clearly sticking out of his wrist. But now there was no sign of any injury at all... The whole incident had made Adrian realize the potential the human body has and how it can be used. Finally Adrian could complete his final challenge. Being a hero.
