Appearance

Jacob is about 5'11 and has a stocky, compacted frame. He is somewhat pale, has a gaunt face, and an annoyingly calm disposition. As such he is generally smiling...when you can see his face. His hair appears to be bleached as the roots of it are much darker as well as his eyebrows. He has several visible marks including a tribal looking one across the left side of his face, and several runic marks on his forearms. All 3 of the tattoos are green. He appears more or less healthy despite the bony structure of his face. However, his hands seem unnaturally aged and gnarled. He makes a point to not really expose his right palm often due to an alarming amount of scars across its surface.

Jacob tends to maintain a wardrobe of earthy tones. His wardrobe tends to be a mixture of greys, browns, tans, and greens. He is rarely seen without his skull mask, which yes, is made of real bone and often is in his rather ragged looking priestly robes. Of late he has taken to wearing a more militant cut to his robes.

Plague-Bringer Form

Once in awhile, Jacob decides to break out his Plague-Bringer form. This form greatly increases his diseases and strength. In this form Jacob is an 8' monstronsity of green flesh and angry red runic markings. The green skin is close to a chitinous armor which covers the chaotic rotting and regeneration of his flesh. Of other note is that Jacob grows a set of jagged looking wings in this form.

Personality

To Da Boyz

To his henchmen, Jacob does his best to act civilly and compassionately. However, his men really are not much more than thugs who haven't had much of a chance to learn much. As such, Jacob's high-brow vocabulary doesn't quite do the job, so Jacob, often with a sigh, switches from quiet intellectual to something you might hear come out of a Troll. When he gets into this manner, he becomes more forceful and has been known to flatout yell. However, even in 'Da Baws' mode he doesn't belittle his men instead he does whatever he can to pump them up.

The Holy Diseases

Jacob is considered a cleric of 'The Grandfather' who on further conversation is revealed to be a god of disease. Despite being the patron of something that is viewed so negatively, Grandfather is a benevolent god though terrible to those he chooses as enemies. As a result of his deity, Jacob is host to some terrifying diseases that float about in his blood stream. Through the tattoos on his arms, face, and other unspecified places, he can manipulate the pestilence in his body to react in certain ways. These he reverently calls the Holy Diseases.

After much training, Jacob has increased his skill with his diseases and has made them airborn with increasingly lethal consequence.

Restorative

There are three Restorative diseases at Jacob's (rp) disposal. These include a disease that consumes non-holy diseases and stimulates the body to regenerate at an alarming rate, a disease that can cause dead tissue to be restored (i.e. he could attach a person's dead limb and it'd actually work), and lastly a disease that can devour poisons, harmful chemicals, and other agents which might have been injected into the bloodstream for malicious purposes. The Restorative diseases cause a brief fever as the body acts against them, but the diseases quickly adapt to most physiologies such that the body stops trying to force them out. The diseases seem to remember those it interacts with and future doses tend to lack this brief fever even if Jacob does not consciously will this.

Debilitating

The Grandfather is a terrible enemy to have. While the deity is slow to anger and as such so are his acolytes, when an acolyte intends damage onto another, the debilitating diseases come into play. While generally these diseases are intended to only last for a short while, they can prove to become fatal if it is willed. However, in the short scale, the diseases actively pursue key parts of the body to make it more difficult to fight the acolyte or his allies. Jacob has not mastered all of these but the ones he can concoct include a disease that directly attacks the immune system making regeneration difficult as well as making the enemy more feeble, a disease that attacks the muscles making them unable to attack at full strength, and a disease that attacks the lungs making it difficult to move about as the enemy quickly becomes winded.

Minor Gifts

While the ability to contain and manipulate the Holy Diseases is the main blessing of the Grandfather there are a few others of note. The first is Jacob can observe the spread of his diseases as well as diagnose most illnesses with a high rate of accuracy without having any real medicinal training. The second minor gift is a fairly odd form of empathy. You know how people get sympathy sickness? Well Jacob gets that as a result of his diseases adapting to fit in new characteristics to either better debilitate or fix a person. Despite sick people making him feel ill, Jacob doesn't avoid them.

Da Boyz

While Jacob tends to avoid conflict or the spotlight, he has developed a following of henchmen that go out of their way to make sure he's protected. This is a result of the clinics he's opened up all over the isles to provide cheap healthcare (funding received from his own personal finances as well as several well to do cultists who have become followers of the Grandfather) as well as providing jobs for many of the drugged out and out of luck people in some of the poorer areas. These operations took months to set up quietly but as a result Jacob now has a gang that sees him as not just 'Da Baws' but rather someone who can do no wrong and any of them would be willing to give their lives despite his protest of that. However, this devotion does come with it's costs. If Jacob doesn't check in on a regular basis he gets chewed out by his elite guards, Da Sons, for being reckless.

Spoilers end here.

Misc Notes

Because of the sheer number and potency of the diseases in his blood, Vampires should really not want to drink his blood. If they get a whiff of it, it'll smell like fetid meat. Should one try and consume it anyway, it's highly likely the combinations of diseases that aren't being controlled will liquefy the vampires organs and most likely turn them into a pool of pus.

Jacob is in control of his diseases whether awake or not, however if he's forced into unconsciousness such as a concussive hit to the head, any blood that leaks out will be at max potency and direct contact with such will most likely be fatal. He'll feel really bad about it if someone dies without him intending it.

Because of the disease, Jacob has adapted a unique defense against bleeding for fear of causing a pandemic. Injuries to his form cause localized necrosis until the body is no longer in danger of being damaged. It then uses one of the restorative diseases to regenerate the tissue and close the wound. This can be overwhelmed and he can die.
